Pharmacii in St. Catharines is a small, charming spot with a cool, laid-back vibe that's perfect for sharing delicious plates. We particularly enjoyed the Korean Fried Chicken, which was crispy and flavorful, and the Bulgoghi Jeon, which was a fun and tasty experience. The Shaker Fries added a playful twist, and the Crispy Pork was another standout dish, perfectly cooked with a satisfying crunch. The service is friendly and relaxed, contributing to the cozy atmosphere. Although the location is on the smaller side, it adds to the intimate and welcoming feel of the restaurant. Saluti

What a great surprise. We loved the creativity of the kitchen and the comfy seating. We came on a quiet evening loved the dim lighting and sharing plate concept. This allows us to try different dishes, the Korean fried chicken, steak tataki and rice noodles were our favorites

The food here was superb, as was the one drink we tried. We ate on the back patio, it was nice being able to eat outdoors under an evening sky. Service was a little slow, I think they're understaffed, but not obnoxiously slow. I'm surprised this place has lasted as long as it has though, unless the owners' parents are chaebols, since they don't do takeout. They also seem to have a chip on their shoulder about other things, judging from the (really nicely done) menu/magazine. If it's still around when you're looking for a place to eat I highly recommend it - if we were around a few more days we'd go back for dinner several more times just to try the dishes we didn't get to try the first time.

This place has been on my list for a while now. They seem quite popular from their social media presence. I'm glad to have checked it out as soon as the ban on outdoor dining was lifted. The ambiance was nice and we were seated quickly on a Friday evening. It's a cute restaurant that boasts Asian fusion inspired cuisine and alcoholic beverages. I enjoyed a fruli "polar beer" and fruli sangria. Among two people, we also got two appetizers and an entrée. Trust me, we were stuffed. The shaker fries were super crunchy and yummy!! They also sell store related merchandise. I also found their restrooms to be...eye opening haha. I'd probably come back if I was in the area. Not a bad place :)

Had an amazing visit to this cool little cocktail joint in St.Catharines. The tunes were great (hip hop) the service was on point, the drinks were out of this world, and the food was delicious! All the cocktails were so tasty, we had 9 of the 11 in total. By far the favourite was the Winter Valhalla, it was white rum, pisco, vanilla infused coconut milk, sesame syrup a d cardamom. It was the best drink I've had! You can taste the care that went into making it! The food we tried was also amazing. We had the shaker fries and some special chicken, that was battered and deep fried soft bone....something. It was deep fried goodness. Can't wait to go back and try some more drinks!

We were there for Sun dinner as a big group of 16 as a gathering of high school classmates. We were seated at one long table. Our waitress handled orders well except for my unlimited refill pop, I asked her 3 times for a refill and she kept forgetting. I never got the refill. The food tasted good and were plated well. There was a large variety of food options. The only bad dish was the Vegan Pizza which looked horrible! They were kind enough to listen to the customer and remake it to her specifications. Entree prices ranged $14 to $23 to $29. The restaurant is well-decorated . They seem to like European family motorcycles. The manager was very friendly, helpful, and cooperative.

The food was good, and appropriately priced, the service was very friendly and accommodating (at some space in time a manager, or potentially the owner stopped by), the interior design is very interesting, and as much as this place is out of the way / off the beaten path, I know I will probably make an effort to return.

I've been meaning to try Tangerine Tortoise for a while and I live near it so we walked in and did a quick 20-minute stroll around the block while they made our pizzas. What stopped me from trying it in the past was the abundance of great pizza chains in St. Catharines. St. Catharines has amazing food places with unique appeal if you ever want to try them. I actually frequent Score Pizza, Twice the Deal Pizza, and Fat Cat when I'm craving a certain type of pizza depending on the situation. I have had a lot of great pizza around the Niagara region from Fat Cat's to Di's and plenty of others. They all have their own appeal but there is just something about the taste the menu and the overall vibe here that puts The Tangerine Tortoise at the top for me. We ordered the spicy pineapple and the prosciutto with pistachio nuts and both were amazing. My favorite was the spicy pineapple because of the hot honey glaze on top. It added the perfect kick and sweetness. What's cool about Tangerine Tortoise is how it's inside an old repair shop and it's hard to tell it's a restaurant unless you know. It's also in the middle of a neighborhood which I think cities should allow more residential restaurant mix because it adds to the community appeal. As a St. Catharines local I absolutely love it and my sister coming in from the GTA loved it just as much.
