I've been here for several different services (never hair), and have never had a bad experience. In fact, once I just popped in to buy a gift certificate, and while I was waiting for the cashier to put it together, some spa employees were having a personal conversation near the front reception, and the cashier asked them to take their conversation somewhere else. She wasn't rude and the employees understood and moved on, and I thought that this gesture demonstrated that this salon is about the CLIENT. And it truly is. I think one of the things I really like about Caracalla is that it is spacious enough for all the services to have their own areas, that feel roomy, private, quiet, etc., as appropriate. You are not thrust on top of anyone else and you have all the attention of your professional. They give you all relevant information and really focus on you and take care of you. You cannot put your tip on your credit card, though, and you tip the employees directly in envelopes at the front with checks or cash, so be prepared for that. What will keep me coming back to Caracalla is how friendly and warm the people are there, even though they offer luxurious treatments and high quality services. I was also hung up on. I used to love this place. He told me I could buy the cheaper one if I wanted...knowing I just triple paid for one from him and couldn't return it. I feel cheated/robbed. Profit margin seems excessive to me. And pricing on gifts is unfair...the owner definitely just wants the money...and couldnt care less about the customers experience/satisfaction. She is aware of changes from visit to visit. The massage room is very comfortable and she checks that the temperature is comfortable for me. Also, the massage table is heated and she adjusts it as needed. I love the hot packs she puts on my back to start. They are so relaxing to the tight muscles in my back as she works on my feet and legs. It feels so good when she moves the packs from my back to my feet to begin working on my back. One of my favorite parts comes when she works on my hands - I use my hands a lot and her touch keeps them supple and flexible. Oh, and the scalp massage is heaven.
