The sweetest surprise was seeing yema. I've been craving it for years and hadn't come across it in so long. They had a small pack of those little cellophane-wrapped treats, and it instantly transported me back to childhood. My parents were with us on the trip and they ended up going back to Emma's multiple times in the same week, which says everything.
