However, recently I attempted to contact them to become a patient again so I can get my medication monitored. I called and left a voicemail requesting a call back, a few days later I received a call from them and as soon as I answered the phone I was put on hold for over 5 minutes and I hung up. I then called back to see why that happened, left another voicemail and never got a response back from them. So after over 2 weeks of waiting, I decided to find a more professional office to go to. I have never seen such unprofessional behavior from people working in the mental health industry and it disgusts me that these people are allowed to treat patients in that way. Do yourself a favor, save the hassle and find another place to go because you deserve much better.

I provided all my contact & insurance info at the same time i booked the appointment. Because I never heard from them, i also went on their website & wrote an inquiry under the contact us section. Still nothing, so i figured that they had everything they needed. I show up to my appointment, they say that i'm not on their schedule, & that they have no record of me at all. I showed them my zocdoc emails, & then all the sudden, i exist. Oh but wait, since they were unorganized & unprepared, they took their sweet time trying to verify my insurance. They first told me that i had no insurance at all. So i called my insurance, & they said i was active, but that the doctor was NOT in-network. I relayed the information to the manager, & let her know i was upset because i only scheduled with them because i thought they were in-network. She said no, no, no, we are definitely in network, but it's just under our practice name, not the individual doctors. I trusted that answer, & wow, I was wrong. I now have bills for well over $150. So back to my first appointment, I waited OVER 2 HOURS to see the doctor, & the only apology i got was from the doctor. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, & saw Dr. Vijay for 2 visits total. First of all, I felt like she didn't believe my diagnosis. She was constantly questioning the integrity of my previous doctors. She also didn't listen to me, i told her that i was having a hard time with the side effects of the medication. Rather than adjust anything or give me other advice, she just kept everything the same. I also believe that this office gets kickbacks from pharmaceutical companies. She gave me samples for a month's worth of medicine, & when i was running low on the medication, they left me high & dry. Since the medicine costs over $1000/month, insurance companies do not want to cover it. I called & left 3 separate messages for SOMEONE to call me back because i was out of medication & was sick. Not ONE PERSON AT THE OFFICE COULD CALL ME BACK OR OFFER ANY TYPE OF RELIEF OR ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE. THIS OFFICE IS A JOKE, & CLEARLY DR. VIJAY DOESN'T CARE ABOUT HER PATIENT'S WELL BEING AT ALL. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT THIS BUSINESS. GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE FOR HELP.

I finally got one booked and I don't receive a text or email for my video visit. I call the provided office numbers, I find other numbers online to call, I email the organization, I make a complaint on the app. No response. I even called a week prior to seek help for a past provider cancelation. This has been an emotionally taxing experience as I'm just seeking mental health help. I am a therapist and take great pride in my work, it's disheartening to see that places do not, especially when mental health is involved. Do not waste your time with Mid America, ZocDoc, Dr. Wajid Khan, Dr. Kenya Moss, or Carly Augsten.

The nurse who did the initial intake was even worse than the receptionist. The atmosphere is outdated and makes it sketchy. Appointment was at noon and the dr walks in the door 41 minutes after our appointment and called us back at 12:50. Our appointment was at noon!!! They have signs all Over and in the paperwork that no shows will be billed and if you arrive late then they may not see you. Sorry they feel your time is not as important as yours. For a mental health facility the staff looks pretty miserable.
