I loved this place! Such a cute little shop with plenty of honey items for everyone. I got candies, chocolates, honey sticks, root beer with honey, & wine with honey. So much honey! The customer service was great. They were very helpful to answer questions & provide samples. I cant wait to go back & come with friends for a wine tasting!

Located right off highway 190, Walker Honey Farm boasts a gift shop, Dancing Bee Winery, and plenty of parking space. The outdoor area is cute, with covered seating (seating is available indoors as well), pretty landscaping, and even a silly bee cutout for photo opportunities. You can also camp, take a tour, they have honey and/or wine clubs, and occasionally host a trivia night. For a store dedicated to honey, I was surprised to find theirs so large! They offer truffles, caramels, and other treats, plus their own wine, mead, root beer, and snacks with which to enjoy them. Additionally, bath and body products, candles, a variety of gifts, and apparel. As far as honey goes, it takes up a hefty section, and you can sample probably twenty types. Some are theirs, some are harvested elsewhere. I snagged a big bottle of Huajillo, a variety exclusive to Southern Texas, made from an acacia related shrub (which is actually Guajillo, so not sure about the spelling of that honey!). It was mild, and truly tasted buttery - so, so delicious. Whatever kind of honey you fall in love with, you have the option of many sizes, and a few are even available in bulk to fill your own container. Along with standard honey, they have the creamed form, honeycomb, wax, and bee pollen. Prices are average. My sister mentioned the employees on her first visit to Walker were quite brusque, and attributed it to arriving shortly before the day's closure. Sadly, though we stopped by early afternoon, our experience was mirrored as I too found them unfriendly. They did not greet us, instead watching our movements with hawk eyes, never a pleasant experience when shopping. There was a sense that they expected customers to be very serious, and our excited (but never nearing boisterous!) group offended them. Besides this, we had a great time, but I would encourage them to work on improving customer service.

I thought it was a mirage. Winery in Rogers, TX? I decided to try it out......approaching it like any other roadside curiosity; snake farms, world's largest ball of yarn, buried Cadillacs. I wasn't disappointed at the weirdity. Basic business premise is to mix honey with anything, and it must be good! Um, sorry guys, but not for me. Plus the wine you're using is quit horrible without honey; The mixture is horrible sweet wine. Tasting does not offer heated Mulled wine, the only way it is potentially drinkable. Why? We will never know, but the very personable, charming, honey-blonde Rachel does as much as legally possible to improve the experience.

A small sampling of other products in the store.

We were on a short road trip and decided to stop at Walker Honey Farm for some honey sticks. Their flavored honey sticks are always a big hit on road trips. We also love their honey and other products in the store and we visit Walker Honey at least monthly. The staff is always eager to greet us and helpful with any questions we have. This place is worth a visit!

I purchased a 1 pound of honey in the glass jar from Walker honey farms. I would like to help save the environment and take my empty 1 pound jar to get refilled. However after calling Walker honey farms I was told I could not refill my 1 pound glass jar and that it needed to be a 1.5 pound jar or larger. This is very disappointing. It's such a nice glass honey jar with a cork on top.

    FLAVORSOME!

I've never been to Texas, but when I do, I will visit this awesome place. This is what America is all about, honest, hardworking, caring, people. The most delicious and wide variety honey you can find. I think it's time for me to order more honey!

Bouldin Food Forest is a sustainably grown, chemical-free produce provider out of Rogers, Texas a…read morebit northeast of Austin. They farm with a conscious focus on the health of the soil and in prudent use of natural resources in their biome. The result is an attractive and nutritious bounty of produce. While their primary focus is on green, leafy items, depending on the season, they will surprise you with interesting and delicious fare such as purple carrots. I would encourage you to visit their Instagram page (https://www.instagram.com/bouldinfoodforest/) to see a colorful smorgasbord of their many offerings throughout the year What I like the best about Bouldin is the fresh-from-the-field nature of their produce. For quite a while, I'd been stuck on Organic Girl products from various healthy grocers because I found them to be, well, clean. During COVID-19, i ran into several challenges with my approach because the curbside shoppers aren't always conscious that you can't eat a whole bin of spinach with one day of shelf-life remaining. Furthermore, hydroponics doesn't always offer the best in flavor, and the cross country trip mass-market produce makes takes a toll on quality and perishability. You can taste the difference in crisp and flavor. Plus, I've often gotten 2-3 weeks from some of their greens. The great news is you don't have to drive to Rogers to take advantage of their wholesome goodness. They are a regular featured supplier to both Austin Wheatsville stores and a permanent fixture at the Texas Farmer's Market at Mueller on Sundays. I will warn that they bring a lot, but they also sell-through fast, so best get there early when they open if you don't want to miss out. And, if you go to the farmer's market, say hi to Ben, the owner. Yes, he runs his own stand. He's that involved and he cares that much.

This relatively small farmer's market allows for a leisurely stroll by the vendors. Round Rock Farmer's market features jewelry, clothing, and of course, fruits and vegetables. We sampled one dessert and meat. One vendor was giving away cute little cloth hearts with thoughtful inscriptions...super kind and generous. The Austin Wildflower Honey vendor was super knowledgeable about local honey production and the benefits of honey. I ended up buying some of the honey. Since it was July 4th, the amount of foot traffic was lite. It allowed us concentrated time with the vendors to ask questions and experience their wares.

Speaking of eggs, ample egg vendors. Found 3 at different price points ($6, $7, $9). Unfortunately, the $6 eggs were some of the worst I've ever purchased at a farmer's market (flavorless, barely yellow yolk). Other than that, they had bread, some produce, beef jerky, sweet treats, and some other miscellaneous vendors. Oh and Tong's Dumpling Bar is a star attraction. It's in a large strip mall so parking is easy. That mall also features one of my personal favorites -- JuiceLand -- so it's an excuse to grab a smoothie!
