Dr. Rice extracted a tooth in preparation for orthodontic work I was to have done. I had been extremely nervous about having this done but with his calm and cheerful manner, he talked me through the procedure, explaining everything he was doing and what to expect with the appearance of the space while it was healing. Dr. Rice also called to check on me that evening. I have heard from many of his patients that he is not one to push unnecessary procedures and takes a wait and see approach.

My partner had full…read morecoverage with his insurance which is in network for this provider and when we set up a first time appointment I specifically asked if she would be checking the insurance or we should do it ourselves and I was assured they would call to verify. She did not verify and we were sent a bill for over $700 for an initial visit that should've been fully covered with a small co pay. When we inquired how this happened she stated that we came on a one week period where his insurance adjusted and he was not covered until the week long switch was completed. When I inquired how that possibly happened when our insurance had been checked we were snapped at that it wasn't her problem and we should've checked ourselves stating she "didn't have to check for us". I've worked in a doctors office verifying insurance prior to appointments to save people this exact snafu of a scenario and it is incredibly not ok to assure that benefits will be verified if you have no intention to do so. We paid the bill after much back and forth and requested all future appointments be canceled as we will not be back and 6 months later received a call that we would be charged a late fee for an appointment that was "no showed". When my partner reminded her (the same person) that we had asked for all future appointments to be canceled she denied any recollection of our previous conversation.

Literally cut me off on every turn to say that. Possibly her way of not having to really listen to a full sentence and did not show a caring attitude. Will not call back. When are these dentists going to realize the front desk is a major deal breaker no matter how good the Dr. may be if rude phone manners are the first impression?

During my initial visit, Dr. Mattson discovered and explained what my dental challenges were. I called to make a future appointment and was told that they had an opening for me at 1 that afternoon. I arrived before 1 and was taken to the back for x-rays around 1:30. After the x-rays that took me to a treatment room and there I sat until 3:30 when I asked when I was going to be seen. I was informed that the dentists were not available yet. I told the person who took the x-rays that if I was not scene by 4, I was leaving. At 4, the hygienist showed up to clean my teeth and I was again told the dentists were still not available. When I finally called Green Bay Dental I knew that I'd hit the jackpot. The receptionist was so warm and friendly and immediately put me on hold to work the schedule around to fit me in. The dentist, Dr. Pfefferle, was amazing. She took the time to talk to me and we had quite a few laughs. She was so thorough and a complete perfectionist with her work. I couldn't believe how much time she took with me even though I had never been to her practice and was just an emergency patient that walked in. Everyone from the receptionist to the hygienists make you feel calm and like you're one of the family. The office is always clean, bright and I love the bird feeders outside of each window which gives me something enjoyable to watch while getting my teeth cleaned or having another dental procedure. I live about an hour and a half away, and yes, there are many other dentists closer to home, but it's worth the drive!

I have never had a bad experience with any doctor, until my experience with Dr. Hall. I was…read morereferred to Dr. Hall by my dentist to address recession on a single tooth, recession I had had for over 20 years-that was unchanging. I saw Dr. Hall for a gum graft to be proactive in my health. Perhaps things would have been fine, had I not had complications following the gum graft surgery. Unfortunately, I had several-including a blood clot/bleeding, swelling, bruising, infection, numbness, and pain. While I understand that complications can occur, that is not the reason for my complaint. My complaint is with Dr. Hall's extreme lack of professionalism and rude demeanor. At my two week follow-up appointment, Dr. Hall refused to discuss my list of concerns other than to say that everything would resolve over time. He showed zero compassion, but rather treated me with arrogance and disrespect. He then stated he would see me again in 8 weeks. With all the ongoing problems I was having, I was surprised by this and hesitated in my response. Dr. Hall then said, "Why are you rolling your eyes? Do you think we should see you every day?" (Again, this was at my two-week follow up appointment; I had not been to his office since the day of the procedure when I had to return an hour after surgery with a clot behind my tooth and a mouthful of blood). I was stunned by his rude response. I told Dr. Hall that I would go to my dentist for follow up, at which time he backtracked and said that I could come in as often as "I felt" it was necessary. By this time I just wanted out of his office. I have never returned. I have sought follow up through my dentist and another periodontist despite incurring additional out-of-pocket expenses. (I should note that I do not have dental insurance and that I paid Dr. Hall a total of $1540.00 -for a 15 minute consult and 30 minute graft (total appointment time). I have been to many doctors in my 52 years. I believe my expectations are reasonable. A two-way dialogue, respect, compassion, and aftercare. None of which I received.
