She said it was due to periodontal disease. I personally know people who get their teeth cleaned and they bleed but are not charged or diagnosed for it. I would also like to point out that I did not taste any blood nor saw any blood on the napkin. I was taken by surprise when they inform me of the additional charge at check out as I had already prepaid for what I wanted. Not only did they lie about me bleeding, they were not upfront about pricing. I feel scammed. This is unprofessional and conniving to target innocent patients who simply pay for a cleaning.

People who see me and know me comment on my smile all the time. They are some of the most caring and understanding people in the business. I've been to many dentists and oral surgeons after my childhood dentist retired. These folks are by far my favorite. We still have a ways to go to get all the work done, but I will always be so appreciative of how hard they work and how well they do it.
