Decided to finally get my windows tinted. I contacted Phillys, TNT & advanced auto tinting. And let me say by far! I Phillys was the most accurate quote and stood by his price. His response time on the Yelp app for quotes is phenomenally quick. I told him the year, make & model of my vehicle and boom within minutes I received my quote. Price was more than fair. Drove from Oceanfront to Phillys since the quote sounded great and the reviews sold me. Rolling up the the shop was a bit tricky Wazes navigation took me thru the rear into a neighborhood, (wrong way) Right right before the CVS it's a small block with multiple shops. Walked in and was promptly welcomed and discussed which tints to choose from. The two popular ones were the ceramic and the regular tint. I opted for the regular tint darker in the back & slightly lighter in the front. (Car is registered out of state) All was finished within ~1 Hour. The tint looked AMAZING when finished. Better than the sample tints he has in the sales floor. My car looks like a whole new car with this tint. Super fast response times, amazing prices. I bought a new car and oddly the front two windows didn't have any tint in them. So of course I had to get on yelp and see where I could take it for tint because I didn't have the greatest experience the last time that I got tint in my windows at T-N-T. I requested a quote online and Filemon responded in like 2 minutes. The price was right, $60 for the two windows so I went after work. Just so you know, this shop is right beside the CVS so your best bet would be to turn on Canal and then hit the immediate right to go behind the CVS onto this little side street and you'll be at the BACK of the shop. Of course, that's NOT what I did initially, so listen to what I'm telling you. I got there around 4 and Filemon wasn't there, but his brother was. He doesn't speak a lot of English, but there wasn't too much of a language barrier at all. He put on some music and my windows were tinted in about 30 minutes flat! He said that if I should notice ANY bubbling/peeling to COME BACK. So far it looks good and I'm please. Yay for YELP! After a quick response to my yelp inquiry for an estimate and the ability to remove the old tint and apply new within a few hours, I was happy to drive the 30 minutes to their shop. There was several types and percentages to choose from and I chose one darker than Virginia legal tint. I was happy to sign a disclosure that stated it was my choice to go darker and not their recommendation (ie: they are not liable). Cars registered in different states are able to have darker tint if their state law applies. The waiting area was ok and the men installing my tint were great! So nice in fact that the received a $20 tip from me. Is it absolutely perfect? No, but it's really good and the price was fair. Cash is their preferred method of payment. read more

Do NOT come here if you are OCD like me and pay close attention to detail. Decided to get my windows tinted here due to the 5 star reviews and the competetive pricing againsts other tint shops. I'm not sure why this place has so many 5 star reviews, I'm assuming its because of the prices Philly's offers. So I showed up to the shop and I was the first one there as they serve on a first come first serve basis, we worked on prices and other options for tint and philly and his brother got started right away. I sat in the waiting room for about 60 minutes and then was called out to the garage where my car was being worked on to see the completed product. Did they rush? Probably. I would've rather they take their time and get it right the first time. Everything appeared to look good tint wise, except my doors inside were soaked with whatever they use to apply the tint. I thought nothing of it as I assumed it would just dry up. They don't cover the interior of the doors like other tint shops do. As I inspected the car more, I found some bubbles and little cuts in the tint. Philly mentioned if I did see any bubbles, peeling or anything wrong with the tint to just call him and come back in so they can fix it. I said okay and felt rushed as I continued to inspect the tint so I finally got out of their hair. A week later, after the tint has fully cured, I decided to do a final inspection. I found lint and small incisions inside the tint on each of the windows I got tinted. The lint I was able to deal with but the little incisions got to me so I contacted Philly's to schedule an appointment to address the issues. We scheduled for the next morning when he opened (yelp states they open at 10am) so I show up at 10am sharp and there is already another car in the garage getting tinted by his brother. Philly was nowhere to be found so I figured this brother can fix it for me. Nope, Philly's brother said he couldn't do it by himself and he called Philly who was out on another job installing tint for a building. Ok cool thanks, I just drove an hour to get these issues fixed and you're out on another job? Philly stated he waited for me since I said I was going to come when they opened and he said I never showed up. I told him, well yelp says you open up at 10am, Philly said they open at 9am. So I pretty much wasted my time and gas. I said whatever and scheduled another time to get my tint fixed for 10am the next day. Showed up the next day and I immediately showed the inperfections in the tint to Philly and he started right away. This time it only took about 30 minutes to retint the car. I inspected it and again the inside of my doors were soaked with the solution used to apply the tint. Again I thought nothing of it and continued inspecting. I found 2 small incisions on 2 windows again and showed it to Philly and he redid the 2 windows promptly. 15 mintues later he calls me to check it out again and I was already getting annoyed by the quality of tint and inconvience I had the last time coming here, said its all good and drove off. Got home and left the car in the driveway to help cure the retinted windows faster. A week later the car is fully cured and I do one final inspection. Again I found incisions and lint galore. There are a few bubbles and I also found out when I roll my windows down the tint is off center with the window. I'm already frusterated with the tint so I don't plan on taking it back here for them to "fix" it. Oh, by the way, that solution that was all over my doors? There is a white residue all over the doors, armrests, handles, and buttons that I have to clean out.. Philly is a very polite guy and I know he works hard. Their tint is cut by hand so don't expect it to align with the windows correctly. If you expect perfection for a $40k car like I do, then find a shop that uses precision computer cut tint. Remember, you get what you pay for. So shortly after writing this review Philly decided to message me thru yelp and would like to offer a full refund. The catch is only if I had a receipt. He never provided me a receipt and low key told me at the shop when I first discussed options with him he can do 20% all around even tho it's not legal if I pay him $200 cash. Other reviews state that Philly's mention their credit card machine is "down" therefore they can only accept cash. This is probably to avoid taxes. Idk. I explained this to him as he was offering the refund and now he's saying there's nothing he can do thus no refund since I don't have a receipt. What do I need a receipt for if I have pictures of my car in your shop being worked on? What a waste of my time therefore I changed my rating from 3 to 1 stars. Owner comments he will gladly refund my money if I gave him a receipt.. which he never provided. That's just for show lol. read more

Had to return to Philly's due to a section of tint delaminating from the window and some other concerns with the tint. Overall I was a bit disappointed in how the tint came out. The owner did mention that ceramic tints take longer to cure. In the end I can say this about Philly's tint shop in my case. 1) They were aware of my concerns and willingly corrected the issues the same day. 2) They stand by their product and services. 3) They know what they are doing I believe my case and vehicle is one of those that unfortunately slipped by. However Philly's Tint Shop wanted to make it right and went out of their way to not only fix the issue, but ensure it wouldn't happen again. I can assure you that Philly's operates at a high standard to all of their customers and if your looking for a shop that honors their warranty and respects their customers I can truly say that Philly's Tint Shop is your shop. I came across this place after a scheduling conflict with the shop that I usually take my cars to and I should've just been patient and waited. They run on a first come first serve bases, so I arrived before they opened and they had a customer already in the back discussing tint. So once it's my turn I tell the tinter the level of tint I want and I'm informed it'd be extra for that percent. Now that which was fine because it is what it is. But my tint turned out looking like I paid extra for the legal percentage. So my 3 star rating is because, 1. I now have to pay to have the tint removed and redone somewhere else. 2. The outline of the tint is crooked on my rear window . 3. It only took about a hour for them to tint my car. 4. They have Netflix or Hulu and you can catch up on a show of your choice. read more

I got quoted $600 for nano ceramic tint. At first i was cool with the service until 3 days later and there are glue marks left on my windshield and passenger window. I said no big deal and drove 40 minutes back to the shop but got turned away because guy said they are busy. Came back the next day and at first dude was trying to convince me that windshield tint is fine and it is not worth replacing it because it will be a big job and will be messy ( what the hell?). I said "Nope". I paid a lot of money to accept glue marks on supposedly really premium tint and i am not going to stare at these glue marks on a 60k car. Anyway they made me wait 4 hours because they want to take care of the other cars first and he ended up doing my car last even though the person i talked to on the phone said my appointment is at 3 pm but they did not look at my car until 6 pm. When he was done i saw some glue marks again and he said it will go away in 3 days. Well 3 days later glue marks are still there which are now worse than the first time i took it for redo. I almost did not want to come back again for the 4th time because the drive was pretty long and i have no trust in this guys anymore. Well i showed up before the shop even open so i can be the first one and when the guy saw me he already had that (f*ck this guy) look on his face and said tomorrow. I told him "No, i live really far. Fix my tint like you are suppose to and do it right so you never have to see me again." Also i bought a solar meter to determine if i really got a nano ceramic instead of a regular ceramic and BTU numbers didnt go down like i was hoping for. Either the nano ceramic tint that they use is crap or they didnt put nano ceramic tint like i paid for( who knows). That was the worst tint experience of my life. Ive had better experienced when i only got regular tint in the past. I thought when i opted for premium tint they will take care of me a little better but i guess once they got your money, you are sh*t out of luck. I was gonna bring my Tesla to this place but that will not be happening. This place needs more employees because one guy doing all the tint, he will be rushing to finish all these service request and he will overlook a lot of things like he did mine. read more

My husbands truck had some old really crappy pealing tint on it that desperately needed to be replaced. I contacted Philly's and got a super quick response and a great quote, sign me up. We were able to take it in on the day requested, it was ready before the estimated time and we were charged exactly as quoted. They removed the old tint and put brand new tint on and it looks amazing. This was a couple of months ago and we have had no issues.
