I was really trying to get a lower price, so I searched one more time and ended up finding Rock Star Auto Glass through Yelp. Thanks, Yelp! I called them and was able to get an appointment the same day. Darrell came out to Chesapeake and promptly replaced my windshield right in the driveway. He even transferred my ez-pass box from my old windshield to the new one. When he came to the door, he wore a facemask and was polite and friendly. He accepts cash, checks, or credit cards and doesn't charge an extra fee for customers to use a credit card as some companies do. The best part of it is that his prices ARE MUCH LOWER than all the other auto glass replacement companies in town. I've used Rockstar twice in the last year and both times was extremely satisfied with the services. The first service was for a replacement of a driver side window. Rockstar prices beat the other places I contacted, I was scheduled right away and the quality of the product/work and customer service was great! Recently, I contacted Rockstar to replace a driver side mirror and again was quoted for a better price and scheduled quickly. When he arrived to make the replacement it was discovered I was missing a part needed to properly install the mirror. He offered to find the part, returned quickly to complete the installation and kept me informed throughout the process. I appreciated his overall professionalism, being honest about the best resolution and working quickly to complete the job. Called them on Tuesday to have them fix my husband 2008 ford mustang windshield that got a nice big rock crack in it from construction on the freeway. They were the best deal and they were timely and responsive. They came out to our house on Thursday and the gentlemen was very nice and respectful. He even called me to let me he was know he was on his way. Replaced the windshield, cleaned up the finger prints and everything on the windshield and it looks wonderful. This guy I now my go to for auto glass repairs! My boyfriend came to town on a whim and a semi truck next to him kicked up a rock and cracked his windshield. As my boyfriend kept driving, the crack kept growing, and considering he had to go back home the next day, we were in a bind. A bunch of phone calls later, I found rock star auto glass. Not only was he able to get my boyfriend and I on his schedule same day, he came by to fix our windshield within an hour of me calling. I called around because a particular rock decided to wait until the month I had to get the chariot inspected, to introduce itself to my windshield. The companies that did happen to answer their phone, seemed a bit off. A base charge for the windshield but there will probably be additional charges for additional parts that may be needed?? C'mon man. Darrell answered the phone, gave me an all in price (which was still significantly cheaper than the other companies base charge) and scheduled the next day. I sent in a request for a quote late on a Saturday night not expecting a response before Monday or Tuesday. They replied via email the very next day (Sunday), gave me by far the best quote for my windshield (full replacement), and scheduled me for Wednesday of that same week. DJ called when he was on his way, showed up ready to go, and was both incredibly professional and incredibly personable. These guys saved the vacation! Some irresponsible idiot tossed a bottle through the back window of my daughter's car in the middle of the night. She was only there for two days on a beach trip, so fixing it quickly was a priority. I called Darrell and he had someone onsite in an hour. While the information on Yelp is not entirely correct the folks at Rockstar Auto Glass knew their profession by installing passenger and driver side window motor/regulators coming to my location ! Replacing a motor regulator in a 2001 Camaro is not for an amateur. These guys are mobile and came to my home. They were half the cost of any competitor who were not mobile.
