It's a wonderful thing to behold. Few government buildings are as imposing and big as the Manila Central Post Office. Indeed, when I look at this structure I often wonder to myself why the country isn't littered with more structures like it. It's neoclassical structure is like a breath of fresh air compared to most of the box like buildings that I see populating Manila's streets. I love this building because it reminds me that there are hidden architectural gems in Manila that will stand out and make me look twice each time I cross the street or look around the corner.

From what I can tell they've updated their system, put competent and very friendly people there and with regards to delivery, it'll get there for sure it'd just take a little bit more time be patient. I have one instance that I needed a stamp or whatnot and even though it'd mean taking away business, they directed me to the right path and sent me on my merry way. I mean they could've just said something else and really, I won't know till a few months time if they tricked me or not. And that's happened to me on more than one occasion. Plus, there's rarely a crowd lining up in this satellite office, unlike in the main Makati City Post Office along Gil Puyat Ave. In spite of what they say in the news, the Philippine Post Office, or PhilPost, is still the most practical way of sending letters and parcels to any point in the world. For one, the national postal system has all the necessary infrastructure to perform all mail-related services. The best thing about PhilPost is they have the most affordable rates for letters and packages. And if you know when to send your goods (avoiding Christmas and other peak holiday seasons), PhilPost can actually beat the delivery dates of big private couriers, especially when it comes to international shipments.
