I wasn't just another student I genuinely cared about becoming an LVN and wanted everyone around me to succeed as well. Before everything happened, I proudly promoted CDI because I truly believed it was an amazing school. I posted a video about my experience that went viral, and because of that, I had numerous people reach out asking about the program and wanting to enroll. I spoke highly of CDI because I believed in what they stood for. Looking back now, I regret encouraging people to attend a school that ultimately showed me so little grace. After posting a video from my first day of skills lab, I was placed on a leave of absence. I removed the video when I was instructed to, but that isn't the point. The point is that I was forced to sit out for nearly four months over what I believe was a minor, first-time mistake. By the time I was able to return, I no longer wanted to. The way I was treated completely changed how I viewed the school. What made everything even more frustrating was watching what I believed to be inconsistent discipline. During my time in the program, I was aware of students who had been involved in much more serious incidents at clinical sites, yet they remained in the program. Meanwhile, I lost months of my education over a social media post that I immediately corrected when asked. I never felt like CDI advocated for me as a student. Instead, I felt like protecting relationships with clinical sites mattered more than standing behind a student who had worked hard, earned good grades, and genuinely wanted to become a nurse. This experience delayed my education, cost me time and money, and took a serious toll on my mental health. I am now beginning therapy because of the emotional impact this experience has had on my life. I hope CDI realizes that behind every student is a person with dreams, responsibilities, and a future. Accountability is important, but so is fairness, consistency, and giving people the opportunity to learn from a mistake. Unfortunately, I don't feel I was given that opportunity.

I was going through a divorce, dealing with community property disputes, attending court hearings, raising my young son, managing my household, and trying to keep up with the demands of nursing school at the same time. I remember one incident where I became very upset after being accused of being late when I was actually in the restroom. I broke down crying and asked a teacher for help. Afterward, I reflected on my behavior and apologized sincerely, even bringing flowers as a gesture of goodwill. What troubled me most was that after this incident, I felt I was treated differently. I was repeatedly questioned about drug use and told that my drug tests showed concerns. The only medication I was taking was Klonopin, which had been legally prescribed by my physician. Rather than receiving understanding and support during a very difficult period of my life, I often felt judged and stigmatized. Looking back, I felt that certain members of the administration wanted me to leave the program. I also felt that I was not provided the same level of guidance and training that other students received. For example, during a clinical shift, I had an important divorce court hearing. I specifically asked my clinical instructor whether I could attend the online hearing from the yard during my break, and I was told that I could. Later, I was criticized for doing exactly what I had been given permission to do, which left me feeling confused and unfairly treated. My experience was that there was very little empathy or support for students facing significant personal hardships. Nursing school is challenging enough, but students dealing with major life crises need guidance, understanding, and professionalism from school leadership. I do want to acknowledge the individuals who treated me with kindness and respect. The accounting and financial aid departments were consistently helpful and supportive. In addition, Kim, one of the nursing leaders, was compassionate and understanding toward students and demonstrated genuine concern for their well-being. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this school to students who are struggling with major personal challenges and are looking for a supportive educational environment. While others may have different experiences, I felt that empathy, understanding, and student support were lacking from portions of the administration during my time there.

If you are using other programs such as your GI bill or you are paying out of pocket, there is a good chance they will let you continue, however, if you use VETTEC and fail, they will push you back and make you use your GI bill or pay out of pocket. pros: The course is very fast-paced and will teach you a lot in very little time. Some of the instructors are nice and really helpful (Alley, Barnett, Zach, Daniel...). cons: The course changes after the first month and leaves you to code on your own with one lecture (1 hr) a week and videos that you should be following are inconsistent and some have not been updated since 2016. People with no coding experience should not attempt this course, as it is too fast pace for learning anything properly and everyone just tells you "keep pushing", whether you understand it or not, is of no concern, as after a week they move on to a different topic React-to- SQL, they also do not have makeup tests as the course is so fast-paced. If using VETTEC they drop you back the first chance they can, so they can get more money from you, if you decide to pay out of pocket its suppose to be 75 percent (which is apparently around $5,000), if you use your GI bill they double it based off of the hours. So if you have 3 months left in the program they will take 6 months of your GI bill, if you have 4 months = 8 months of your GI Bill. Some of the instructors (Nick, Danny...) are really rude, making the student feel stupid when they are asking a question.

I would not recommend this class because the instructor was horrible. Me and 2 other students did…read morenot pass the exam. But before we took the exam, me and those two other students were talking about how we weren't confident about taking the exam because of the instructor and her horrible confusing teaching. The instructor, which I'm guessing is the business owner, was 10 minutes late to the class and then she started the class an hour late and only checking in like six students. There were barely any students there. So an hour of teaching time was wasted because she was lollygagging. As the instructor sat down to start teaching the class, she kept stopping to text message somebody and I don't know if it was her boyfriend, but she had a huge smile on her face, Every time she was texting somebody. She did not answer questions that I had for her. She kept saying that those questions weren't necessary to answer because they weren't on the test. I paid almost $400 to take that class. I would much appreciate if you answer the questions that I have, regardless, if it's on the test or not. And then, when I finally passed the exam after having to take it a second time and after having to purchase an online Notary course by EZ Notary. I spoke to the owner on the phone and asked how can I get the rest of my supplies which is a journal, my bond and my seal. She said I would have to pay for the shipping since I don't live around there and I'm not willing to go get it in person to pick up the supplies. Her team or her emailed me the invoice for the shipment, it was $31, just to ship my bond and then I would have to pay for a second shipment for the rest of my supplies. Talk about ripping students off. Another thing is you have to pay for parking. when I called before I placed the order I asked her assistant or her front desk person do I have to pay for parking, he said no that we can get it validated for you. But nobody wanted to validate the ticket unless you bought something in that building. The parking was $20. Do not pay to take the in person class and do not pay for any other Notary course from her. She is a horrible instructor. I would not waste your time or your money. There is a much better chance passing the exam through someone else online course. Good luck!
