Then the raft rolls were not the same and the soup did not come with all the normal fixings. It did not have any flavour at all. I waited for the lunch crowd to clear and was glad I did. Not many people after 1:30. New waiter, but very friendly. I ordered the usual, Spring Rolls and the Combination beef Pho. I was not impressed. The Spring Rolls weren't fresh. They're the shrimp and beef kind, and they tasted like old seafood. Like the sea, actually. Then my pho came with some very old vegetables (bean sprouts, lime wedges, and sliced Thai peppers). I asked for some sweet basil, as they seemed to have used someone else's vegetable plate to serve me, and it didn't have any. Again, very good service. But the pho was lacking in volume. Hardly any meat and even fewer noodles. This is one of two pho places in Laredo, and the other one is worse. Might have to get my pho fix elsewhere from now on. Oh well. read more

It's okay. I would go again but maybe order something different. The Vietnamese egg rolls were hot and fresh; however, the dish was served with a tiny bit of lettuce (couldn't even wrap around the egg roll) and the lettuce was getting old and slimy. The rolls were not served with fish sauce, but with another spicy sauce, it was fine, but I would have preferred the traditional fish sauce. My main entree was the rice dish with BBQ pork and fried egg. It looked and tasted ok, but the fish sauce really saved this dish and made it taste really good. Not pho. Just watered down, mildly salty water. The bean sprouts were wayyy past their prime, and no basil or peppers?! Dumplings were decent. There's no alcohol served so I ordered tea, which was a bag with mildly warm tap water in it, so it never brewed. You have to buy your own water if you want some. Bizarre! Nothing at all was fresh. My go to place for pho. The people who work here are sweet hearts, I go here so often, I see them like my auntie and uncle. My pick for soup is pho tai (add "gan", if you want to be adventurous, I'm not going to tell you what it is either). My friend loves the egg rolls. This used to be my favorite pho place whenever I come down to Laredo and need my asian fix. However I got a togo order and it was bad. The noodle was so soft that it broke out when the chopstick touch it. They need to cool the noodle down before putting it in the togo container. They put all of my meat in the broth so my rare meat are also over cook in there even though my husband asked to have them separate. My togo beansprout bad was pathetic with no basil. The broth tasted water down. Probably I will get a better experience eating in the store but togo is a no go for me. read more

Shrimp tasted good and the beef was very tender. The 42 I did not like as much. The ribs had a good flavor but were tough and messy to eat. Not as good as Vietnamese food you can find in California, but just the fact that this place exists this deep into South Texas makes this place a blessing and a gem. Food is pretty good and is generally better than the 1 or 2 other Vietnamese places in Laredo. Service is also pretty fast and friendly. My only criticism is that it can be kinda pricey, but then again given how rare Vietnamese cuisine can be in these areas, I can somewhat understand why it would cost more. We had a great surprise from this place. The restaurant itself is well decorated and in a modern asian setting. The menu is large and offers a variety of options, to many tastes. Do ask about items that they offer outside the menu, like their fried rice and Pho Ga (Chicken Soup), one of my favorites. We started with the Bahn Mi, which we shared amongst the three of us. The bread was perfectly toasted and the pork just supreme, for $3.75 it should be a to go for lunch for any budgeted and intelligent individual. I will add a fried egg for and additional dollar. Then I ordered the shrimp soup and my daughter the meatballs soup. The broth was, simply put, extraordinaire. Right size for one to finished with feeling bloated. Strong flavors and of course the side of basil and bean sprouts. I ordered the fried rice to go, it was ok, the portion a bit small.
