Hmmm, came here because the other pho restaurant in town doesn't accept AMEX. I was the only one in the restaurant. That should've been a sign, but I craved a vermicelli bowl. So long story short, craving satisfied, but it could've been better. Bowl was a little skimpy on the meat side. I also had the fresh spring roll which was good, but the peanut sauce was a bit tangy (I'm hoping it wasn't old). Vietnamese food is my absolute favorite, and I eat it every chance I get. So I was pretty excited to find a few here in Laredo while I was in town for the weekend. I may be a little tougher on this place for that reason. This place is fairly quiet and quaint. Although the server wasn't very personable, I will say that he did a good job. He may have just been having a bad day, who knows. I hate to say it, but these are the only positives I can give. The rice paper on the spring rolls were "rubbery" and the peanut sauce was runny. The stuff inside was actually good though. The egg rolls had no lettuce in order to wrap up the rolls with the carrot shavings. However, the rolls themselves were served hot, and the taste was decent. (They didn't seem like homemade though). The Phô would not even be in my top 100... the bean sprouts were not crisp AT ALL, there was very little meat, and the fatty brisket was crunchy?! I will not say anything more. Like any place, you really need to try it for yourself. I have read one star reviews and still gone, and thought it was one of the best places I has ever been. read more

This place is Laredo's best Pho. I've noticed a lot of reviews complain about the serving size, but I felt the servings are decent for the price you are paying. I do feel border town plates tend to be on the bigger side and people get used to that. The spring rolls were pretty good, basic standard spring rolls of really good size. The peanut size was a little watery, but tasted fine. The Jasmin tea was pretty standard. The pho was solid. Good clean broth with good noodle texture and a decent amount of protein. The noodle dish was super good, with a great garlic taste. The fried rice was decent as well. Don't expect anything super fancy or out of this world. Service is fast and friendly. Giving this place a 4, simply because it's the best in Laredo. read more

I'm just very confused how nobody has fixed any of the problems here after so long. I ate here 5 years ago and decided to try it again this week, both times they had no music playing at all... so this place is extremely quiet and uncomfortable, and i could head another tables full conversation, plus an employee on his break loudly slurping some soup from a few tables over. I'm surprised none of the other reviews on here have mentioned the lack of music because it seems to be such an obvious negative, totally KILLS the vibe and made me want to eat quickly and leave. Spotted two bugs crawling on the walls, front desk. Pho ingredients were mediocre at best, I'll be honest, even compared to Laredo's few other options for Vietnamese food. I hope whoever's making decisions for this business gets a wake up call soon, because I honestly don't know how this place is still open/how they're able to afford rent and ingredients. Probably because the food is overpriced and the (small) staff is underpaid. They don't seem to care about training wait staff to be more personable either, probably because they don't think much of high schoolers who just need a day job at a slow restaurant. So that just results in teenagers kinda mumbling while taking your order and awkwardly bringing your food without saying anything. Again, I wouldn't settle on eating here until something changes, or until the business goes down and is replaced by something else, which is probably much more likely. read more

Definitely the best (and cheapest) asian restaurant in Laredo, and a welcome break from all of the delicious tacos. They serve crawfish, which is spicy and delicious. Also, their sugar cane is really refreshing, and I think they're the only restaurant in Laredo to serve these two things. BUT I would really recommend their garlic shrimp fried rice. Shrimp is juicy and buttery. Their eggs rolls are filled with meat, which is different from other restaurants that just fill theirs with veggies. Really yummy. read more

We were there this evening. Nice place, well lighted, modern and with a little swing. The waiter approached us very promptly, and gave our menus. My daughter Isabella and me already knew more and less what we wanted, Pork filled dumplings and fresh spring rolls with pecan sauce. The dumplings were nice, well fried and the spring rolls were devoured by my daughters and wife, I tried the pecan sauce and was superb. Then the rest of the food arrived. A bahn mi with pork for my wife. Good flavor, I will toast the bread a bit to give it a crunchier bite. Two vermicellis, one with Shrimp the other with lemongrass chicken, and a side of fish sauce. Large shrimps well grilled, the chicken was cooked perfectly with a strong minty flavor of the herbs. my House Special Rice had happily merge all the flavors during the stir-fry process. Nice balance of colors and some, at least to me, unidentified flavor of chinese sausage or a sort of. A bit more of crawfish will have added a nice pinkiness to the plate, just a suggestion... As a goodbye celebration I had the wonton soup and my girls a couple of smoothies. The soup has, probably, in Laredo the best broth I had so far, the wontons maybe need a one or more minutes to let the dough cook completely.. The smoothies need a little more work. Mmmmm Mmm Mmm, I catch myself making this noise very rare. Teas are great, Pho is on point and Wow appetizers. O had combination pho and dumplings with Vietnamese crispy roll, nothing was Greasy. The place is nice and clean with a bunch of 4k screens. The ambience is cool, nice people. A little crowded on a Thurs night but the energy is positive. Excellent food (and actually authentic)! The meats are grilled and good cuts. This is probably the healthiest Asian restaurant in Laredo. The kitchen serves Chinese dishes, too, if you prefer that. Just had lunch there. The interior is very clean and modern with asian accents. Pho soup all the way (p1). Exactly what i expect a pho to look and taste like. The broth was delicious and the bean sprouts are grown by the owner and 100% organic. You can taste the difference. Very crunchy and really tasty. I also got the chicken bahn mi (s1). Very delicious as well. You can taste that the chicken is marinated and grilled. The sauce added was amazing. I can't pinpoint it but it reminds me of tzatziki sauce. I took a coconut bubble smoothie to go. Love it. If you've never had one i suggest you try a bubble smoothie or tea. The little black balls added are tapioca with their own flavor and chewy texture. Best of all this is on the north side near me. Definitely will return again. read more

I know Laredo doesn't have many Pho places, but it doesn't mean you have to settle. I ordered a large pho and the broth was watery with no flavor and the noodles weren't cooked enough. If you have Pho in the name of your restaurant at least get the broth right. I eat a lot of pho all over the country and this place really missed the mark. I will not be returning. Hopefully this post will help someone who is looking for pho in Laredo avoid this place in the future. read more

Update 3/31/17 Review: This place has gone down the tube. The service here is bad as it gets. I see the help wanted but you gotta have better pay I'm assuming and train your people better. They drive people away. Food seems way too oily and just sad to see a place I called amazing fall through the hole. Old review: This place was good. I'd argue when you put it up against Laredos Chopsticks (West Village off I35), Sushi Madre and Posh the big 3 for your sushi and Asian fix this beats all of them. I've given Posh and Sushi Madre 5 including Chopsticks as that was for their Sushi fare but if I graded those 3 in actual Chinese/Vietnamese/Asian food they'd get a 2 or3 out of 5. This place is authentic. I've been born and raised in California and know amazing Chinese Food as the Bay Area houses the entires country's best Chinese food outside of China. For Laredo this is good because you don't get siracha sauce when you ask for hot sauce you actually get real Chinese hot sauce with chili oil. Egg rolls here are amazing and authentic and the fries rice and chow mein is some of the best in Texas definitely the best in Laredo without question. Texas is horrendous for good Chinese food in even a city like Houston but found 1 decent one in San Antonio and now 1 in Laredo! Again good service and good food you can't go wrong and I have tried their Cajun offerings but should be something to try next time! read more

I come here twice a month and I love this place. The price is decent for most of the foods they have there. If you eat a lot then the serving size might bother you. For me, the serving size is good for me due to the fact that I like to eat sweets right after considering that you get can get cookies or yogurt next door. This place used to provide good service, am really upset at what it has become. We came here for my birthday and I wish we hadn't. It took them well over 10 minutes to ask for our drinks and almost half an hour to receive them because one of the supervisors (or owners), an old lady, took her time to scold and yell at the waiter in the middle of place, that was horrible to witness! Plus the drinks we received were the wrong ones. One of our orders was a plate of wings and they were raw, we even showed the bloody pieces but received no apology, and they still dared to charge us for them!!
