I've never seen a server so rude. As she was clearing the table next to us, the sound of her throwing bowls was so loud that it hurt our ears. She was the worst server I've ever met in my life. There was no service for over 10 minutes after we were seated. When I asked for the menu, she shouted with a finger point in Vietnamese. The other tables that came later than us were served promptly (water and menus). We didn't want to beg for food from such a rude server. Made an order by phone I was told 15-20 minutes for pick up I'm down the street I come and wait my 20 minutes still not ready so I was like give it another 10 still not ready made me wait 1 hour just to tell me for the third time it's not even being made. The owner himself could of told me I'll make it right now or just another few minutes but he was not communicating at all with me very rude it was just 1 order not even a huge order. So I guess this place used to exist in the Mall across the street, but that was before I ever lived up here. The new place is clean and well-maintained. It's nice enough to enjoy dining in, which we do sometimes, or we order to go. Best fresh spring rolls in all of Anchorage. You can take that to the damn bank too because trust me, I've tried practically all of them. What sets them apart from the competition? 1. More fresh herbs (they usually add cilantro and mint) 2. Taste fresher and the ingredients inside don't look wilted as I've seen in some of the other places 3. Decent portions 4. They use peanut sauce for their side sauce, not that gross-ass hot chili gelatinous garbage I see in all the other places The Pad Thai served here is pretty damn good as well, as is their wonton soup. Great food, super fast friendly service and really clean place. Nicely decorated, I love the lights (mini chandeliers). We ordered pad Thai, crunchy noodles with beef and combo soup. Great food, the pad Thai is my second favorite here in town and I was hesitant to try the crunchy noodles and wasn't sure how to eat them at first but I'm so glad I ordered them. Great sauce. I'd definitely come here again, because it was our first time here the server gave us a coupon for 10% off our next visit. We will be back. Place is very clean. Staff were also clean and polite. My party ordered a variety of dishes. My dry noodle dish was salty and seems to be swimming in hoisin sauce. Not sure if that is normal but it was not for me. My daughter got the bbq pork with egg over. Presentation was great but the pork chop was again deep in what seems to be hoisin sauce. Might be better if the bbq sauce was on the side. We ordered our beef meatball noodle with calamari. We got fried calamari and regular meatball noodle soup. Best pho in town! So far I cam 4-5 times, tried their roasted duck, pho, house fried rice, steamed rice roll, and vermicelli noodle and they were all very delicious!! Very clean and modern decor! The menu was just like any other Pho restaurant menu. I had the "Well-done beef and beef tendon Pho" and it was deeelicous! The broth was light yet savory and not greasy like at other pho places. Good portion of meat and the noodles to broth ratio was perfect. Now I am a big fan of Thai tea - I like Thai tea...this place made me LOVE Thai tea! I've been going to Pho Dimond for little over a few years now and I love it. Like, the food is excellent, the service kind and quick with taking my orders and getting them to me in a timely manner. The best dish I can recommend is the Eye of Steak pho, an excellent meal that I eat with a side of white rice that is steamy when It gets to my table. My co-workers are always raving about Pho Dimond was great and they constantly order food there. So I decided on a whim to take my husband there to lunch a couple weeks ago. I had the house fried rice and chicken wings.....Daaayum!!! Fire!!! My husband had the yellow chicken curry and ate it up! Chunks of potato, chicken, with yummy soup! This restaurant is a hidden gem! You have to be looking for it in order to see it off the main road but seriously worth it. Before we found this restaurant there was only one other Vietnamese restaurant that we would go to and this place totally blows all other want-to-be authentic Vietnamese restaurants out of the water. The place is new, so it's clean, and well lit. I asked for their specialty, which the polite young dude didn't understand so an older very nice employee came out and I explained that I wanted the best model bowl that they make. He suggested the Oxtail Pho, which I got and was extremely pleased I did. Lots of falling off the bone oxtail, and tender bits of tripe floating about in a delicious savory roasted bone broth. The rice noodles were perfectly al dente and they included a whole plate of fresh cilantro, basil, crunchy bean sprouts, and jalapeño. The table condiments were various spicier, house made versions of Sriracha and were delicious. They even made a bowl of plain noodles in broth for my 4 year old daughter, which she happily slurped up one by one. Sorry about the mess but it was awesome! read more

Delicious Vietnamese food! Formerly at the Dimond Center, this local favorite moved to the Gallo Center (strip mall) after it opened. Some of my favorites include the Vietnamese-style New York Steak, Pork Stir Fry Noodle, Crispy Duck (great for a shared dish). And Americans can't go wrong with the free soda (we love our soda :-P) The restaurant is spacious enough, and the servers are prompt and friendly. I went here with a friend because the other Pho places were closed (for Memorial Day) and there were a couple issues I had. The first one being that the customer service was very poor, they only came to our table to ask for our order and never again after that. The second complaint I have is that the vegetarian pho is made with beef broth! I have never been to a pho place that doesn't have vegetable broth as an option. I'm so glad I asked to make sure before I ordered it. I ordered a stir fry instead and that still wasn't great. The last complaint I have is that my friend found a huge piece of plastic in her pho! She kindly told the worker and he said "I'll tell the guys" and brushed it off (not offering a discount or even apologizing). I'm very disappointed with my experience and I hope they make changes soon otherwise as of right now I wouldn't recommend. read more

Ate here for lunch with my family about 8 of us. Food was good for the price not that pricey compared to other Pho places. We got the duck which was good but it's not fried so skin isn't super crispy but it's good and juicy. Only issue I had is that you have to buy rice it's not part of the meal. The chicken lemon grass is very good I highly recommend it! The Pho Combo was ok. And fresh lumpia/spring roll was ok. Overall was a decent experience i would go here just for the duck. read more

I usually like pho for breakfast or brunch. I order a combination pho with extra meat. When my soup gets there I always taste the broth and it was nice. I'm digging into my soup and meat. I try to save my tendon last and that's when I realized there was hardly any tendon and a whole lot of noodles. I asked the guy if they put extra meat and he told me "yea. You wanted extra meat and noodles. It's only 3 dollars extra for extra meat". I wasn't happy with that response. Anyways, Disappointed in the service but the pho was good. read more
