Best Thai value around huge portions, delicious, and fast. I order vegan and the pad kee mow! Is incredible. Love this spot for my Thai fix

I was craving Pho and looked up the closest location that was open. Arrived at 4 pm for an early dinner and was sat and served immediately. I ordered that crab wontons and beef pho. Both came out in less than 5 minutes. Wontons were crispy and tasted great. Pho was good as well, had lots of noodles. I will be coming back again to try the pad tai.

Pho was fantastic here! Be careful of the homemade chili oil, it's delicious but got some serious heat.

The main thing that impressed me about this place is how HOT the food was. No, not the spiciness (which was pretty underwhelming, more later), the TEMPERATURE. It was PIPING HOT. And it came to my house via Door Dash! I guess those bags are insulated well. Pho Vietnam is obviously more of a Vietnamese place than a Thai place, but they do have Thai dishes. Why did my dumbass order Thai from a Vietnamese place? I was hungry for Thai, and feeling lazy...I couldn't find any Thai places that were delivering. The food was good and the portions were generous, but it was very underspiced. I ordered green curry, which is my usual "benchmark food" for Thai joints. I ordered it 5-star in spiciness and it was very mild. How mild? It was so mild that I thought I may have mixed up the to-go boxes and swapped mine for my girlfriend's. That wasn't the case. The food here is not very spicy. I know, shame on be for getting Thai from a place that doesn't specialize in it. I'll definitely order again from them though, 'cuz the piping hot, and they my being incredibly lazy. I'll get a Vietnamese dish though.

There is a decent number of Asian in AK, but I think the asian restaurants here are pretty meh. We didn't try that many places, but we weren't really impressed with any. For example, the pho at this place lacks some flavors, feel like it is more suitable for western people. The spicy noodle soup is not even close to what it should be. The broth just doesn't taste the same. The portion is huge tho. Not too sure if I'd come back

You can tell from the photo that my pork with mixed veg stir-fry came with a decent quantity of pork and fresh vegetables. While it was satisfying overall, you can probably also tell from the photo that it was just a touch on the oily side. Also, the pork was a little overcooked (or possibly not of the highest quality); I'd probably go with chicken next time. The menu here is quite extensive, and on future visits I'd like to try their pho and vermicelli bowls.

My favorite pho spot. I will go out of my way to eat here. The price for what you get is great. The vegetables are the freshest I've ever had. I love how thin the steak is cut for the pho, it almost melts in your mouth. The meatballs are huge so they're sliced, just something different to appreciate. The broth is my favorite. Just the right amount of fat, good clarity, and a rich beefy flavor rather than just salty beef like you get at other places. The noodles are consistently cooked well and have a great mouthfeel. Nothing sucks more than overcooked pho noodles. The staff is friendly and it's just great food.

I was meeting a business partner, hadn't eaten that morning and he suggested Pho. It was right around the corner from where we were. So I've been to their main location off Denali St. and really like their the beef pho and duck pho so I went with the beef and liked it too. It was good pho and it was packed with meat. Comes with the the traditional Thai basil leaves, cilantro, limes, and mung beans. I like the interior better here too it's more inviting with high booth breaks giving some privacy oh and it has a Flat TV but I can't remember what was on. Lol! We were talking about our families and having fun!

Inside of pork bun! Tons of filling!

If I could give this place more stars I would. First off, the friendly folks working there make you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in the door. The menu is full of great items and there are pictures on the wall, similar in most Asian restaurants, to show you what a dish would look like. Ok, now on to the pho! Hands Down the best bowl in town! I am always greeted by a near boiling bowl of delicious broth full of meats and noodles. They don't skimp on the meats like most other pho places. I normally get the pho combo with no tripe. This has rare beef, meatballs, brisket and tendon. The brisket and tendon are always cooked perfectly and melt in your mouth as it should. They have many options for folks that like anything from seafood to tofu, or a meat head like me. For those that love the comfort of a pork bun, this is also the best one you can get in Anchorage! They make them fresh and they are gigantic! The inside is Full of pork filling. This can be appreciated by going anywhere else and getting a very small amount of meat inside a huge bun. I have had many different things on the menu and I would say that you can't go wrong no matter what you order! Pro Tip: Ask for the housemade pickled jalapeños for your fresh rolls, they don't have them on the tables generally, but ask for them and it will make your experience amazing. Put some peanut sauce on your roll and put a slice of jalapeño on top and take a bite, then repeat! Overall, this isPho Vietnam 8 is in my top two Vietnamese spots in town. I have tried them all and can safely say it's legit!

I'm glad that they had beer flights because I was unable to decide what kind I wanted. With some assistance from the bartender I chose 4 beers and every single one of them was wonderful. I would absolutely go back if I'm ever in Anchorage again. It does get a little bit loud and it gets very crowded so be prepared to either wait, or sit at the bar. It is open seating, you check in at the host stand and they'll give you a menu and you just find a place to sit. All in all it was a wonderful time and the food was great. The servers seemed a little new, but the service was good and friendly. They carry Frontier brand sodas which we found to be excellent for their flavor. We got root beer and ripe raspberry soda. I ordered the Chili AK Salmon Bowl which our server confirmed is wild salmon. My wife ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich with fries. Both meals were really good. I especially liked the sauce on the salmon bowl so much so that I asked for a little more only to be charged for the extra sauce. I also noticed they include a service charge on the bill (note that this was not gratuity). They told us it was to help them get seasonal labor and to cover overhead. Maybe this is an Alaska thing, but with menu prices as high as these, why would you need to add a service charge? Pricing and nickel & diming aside, I would recommend this place.

When we got there we were brought to our seats. It was a long shared table for everyone.
