Legit Viet! Stopped in for a quick Bahn Mi. Grilled pork goodness. Nice size portion. Veggies and jalapeno were fresh and crispy. Baguette crunchy and soft. Finished of with an original tea and a Vietnamese coffee. Good food. Good price.

Here in beautiful Southern Louisiana even in September it is insanely hot. The heat index yesterday was a vulgar and oppressive 105. You know it's bad when you walk out of your house at 7:30 a.m. and feel like you are walking through a very thick warm and wet blanket. You want to know how hot and uncomfortable summer here in Tropicana...err Louisiana is? Take a very hot shower. Get out but don't dry off. Put all of your clothes back on. Yeah, so pho was out of the question. I wanted something cold and refreshing and preferably fruity. Jazen Tea fit those requirements nicely. I ordered a black tea with strawberry, mango, and pineapple fruit bits. It was delicious! Light but filling thanks to the fruit bits and it hit the spot! I'll be back to try more of their delicious teas and when this heat decides to go away for the one week of cool-ish weather we get will be trying the pho here.

The boba teas are excellent. Thai coconut tea has a strong coconut flavour and is authentic. The fruit teas are refreshing. I also got the grilled chicken and fried roll plate; The chicken was so juicy and flavourful, but was large slabs and not cut up so I had to do some work to make bite sizes. For the price I do wish I got some more meat as well. The roll was really nice to eat with a bit of chicken and rice in the same bite. Still would get this again!

Love this place! Food is so good! No other words necessary and this is too much trouble.

I've tried a few of the teas and smoothies and I'm not a fan BUT I absolutely LOVE the pho. My personal favorite is the beef rib and brisket. Highly recommend this place. It's always clean, the staff is very friendly and service is fast.

Soft opening review :) will update after the grand opening Food was alright. Staff seem inexperienced but I have faith they will get better with time. Interior is cute. It's bright and modern looking. Pho (number 15): 7/10 tasted like pho. Nothing really special about it. Pork chop rice plate. 6/10. Pork chop was bland on some parts and well seasoned on others. The fish sauce tasted like water. However the fried egg was great :). The pork chop was a little pink near the bone. Hopefully they will fix that before the grand opening. Taro milk tea: 5/10. You can taste the powder badly and artificial taste. Some of it didn't dissolve and just stank to the bottom. I asked for Tapioca balls but the waiter didn't hear me when I said it :(

Still in soft opening mode, our waitress was great very attentive, rest of staff questionable, as some of the comments should not be where customers can hear them, Food was just ok, The sandwich had great flavor though. The Tea was very good, and good for a hot day like today, just don't let the ice melt as this will water down the drink, The fruit bits in the drink makes this work.

    Would not recommend take out.

Pho rice noodle were hard! Portion was not good. My taro shake that I always order was so nasty. The grilled pork was the icing on the cake as it had no flavor and dipping sauce wasn't good. Portion of rice was bad. I would not recommend taking out as it seems like they don't care much about it. Also. SINCE when do y'all take customers money without their consent? When ask about gratitude I put NO. That's called stealing! Obviously I caught it after the fact.

He messed up one of our tea orders and started slamming things around and had an attitude while making the tea again from HIS mistake. Instead of actually tending to business, he decided to that working on his laptop was more important. My parents and I were very calm and cordial despite the crappy service and disrespect. Him and the people he was with on their laptops found it was okay to talk about us while we were still at the establishment drinking our tea which I found very dehumanizing given the situation.

So this is a lovely and brand new Kung Fu Tea location that I'm sure we will visit many more times in the future. It's a couple of miles off the highway in a leafy little part of town, close to the University - right where it should be. So of course they have it all - nice decor, good people, and good products. If I were to deduct a star, the main sticking point is the Lemon Black Tea - in that they have a big lit up board advertising "Lemon Series drinks" and then wouldn't make us any of them, "no longer on the menu", "might get in trouble", and it's like... it's what we drove hours to come here for, so come on now! However, they were willing to switch some of the drinks from green tea to black tea, which was super nice of them, and I won't punish them for the lemoncluelessness despite the obvious mix up with the sign even advertising the drink LOL. Anyway hopefully next time we come to Laugh-a-minute, we will be able to get their version of our beloved Lemon Black Tea. What to get: Lemon Black Tea With Tapioca! Or: All the fruit teas are pretty good, especially if you go off menu and get black tea! Or: Go crazy and order your fruit teas with the very strong Oolong! Or in winter: Any of the hot milk teas! Which milk teas are best: Honey Oolong! Oolong! Maybe Taro or Almond! I also love the regular milk tea with Oreo! Generally speaking, Kung Fu Tea scores 5, which is a huge compliment, considering that it's a massive international corporate chain, whose milk teas don't match up to the best chains: Sharetea, Gong Cha, Tea Top, and Coco. However, they're still really good, and the fruit teas here are among the best. Especially the lemon black tea which absolutely rocks my world. If it's not on the menu, demand it! Other fruit teas (Orange, Grapefruit, Pineapple) must also be ordered off-menu as Black Tea instead of the meh Green. Also the Lemon Black tastes good as a Lemon Oolong, but everyone else hates it because they have bad taste. The one annoying thing about the chain is the corporate office (they're sketchy) and their rule that no drink can have its tea altered. Anyway let's get some food to go with our Bubble Teas. I'm feeling kung-ry. If you're hungry grab an Old Tyme Grocery Po Boy before or after you come here. Mm-mmm. For Boba you will never forget That'll make you rock hard/dripping wet Get a Lemon Black Tea For a $5 fee From the new KFT Lafayette!
