I have been to this place regularly for YEARS. It NEVER disappoints. I've read the reviews. It's authentically, Vietnamese. So, if you are a newbie, it may not be your cup. However, I am obsessed with the (egg/spring) rolls for apps, pho for my main, unfortunately, I have NEVER have had room for desserts. The family is darling. Service is prompt. The vibe is.... Unique. Ordered to-go First off the man taking orders over the phone seemed very sassy and passive aggressive. When i had a question he responded kind of snarky. But whatever i let it slide and tried to smile past it. Disappointed in the portion size of the "large" pho. I could fit the noodles in the palm of my hand and there was only half of the container of broth. For the price of a large, i expected much more. The broth was not bad. But the noodles were different from what I'm used to. Almost soggy. I wish i took a picture before i arranged the ingredients in my bowl so you could understand what i mean. And not so important but they place the dry ingredients in a Chinese takeout box which is kind of funny to me lol. I wouldn't personally come back here as i know Saigon pho has much better quality and portion sizes there.. read more

They informed us that they'll be closing at 2. We arrived at 1:42, and they said they weren't taking any more people. I'm in Garden City for a few weeks to do research for my MA thesis. I wonder how many times I can eat here before I go back to Florida? I never thought I would find the most authentic and delicious Vietnamese food in Kansas, but Garden City is a unique place, so it really shouldn't surprise me at all. My friend ordered the shrimp pho and I tried a broccoli chicken dish. Broccoli chicken dishes are pretty common in asian cuisine, but this one was outstanding. The ingredients were super fresh and the sauce so flavorful. I don't like shrimp, or I would have tried my friend's spring rolls and pho. So I didn't really expect to find much good food while passing through this rural portion of Kansas. And I definitely didn't expect to find good Pho in Kansas. But I was pleasantly surprised after finding this spot on Yelp. The food was all good. This might be a 3-star joint if it was in L.A., but I figure it deserves 4 stars considering the geographic location. The pricing was also extremely reasonable, much less than I would expect to pay in SoCal for good Pho. I can't say I'll return because the chance of me ever setting foot in Garden City, KS again is very remote. However, if the stars align and I return to Garden City, Pho Hoa One will be my restaurant of choice. read more

I've been to Pho Hoa three times in the last year. The beef pho is delicious, as are the spring rolls. The spring rolls come with a delicious peanut dipping sauce. The prices are quite reasonable. The only downside is the incredibly long wait to get your food. It takes from 40 to 50 minutes to get a bowl of pho and a spring roll. I have beef pho at the Vietnam Cafe in Kansas City KS all the time, and it never takes over 10 minutes, so the incredible wait at Pho Hoa for a bowl of pho is confusing. At least the wait is well-rewarded by a delicious bowl of pho. I'm just going to start taking a magazine to read while I wait. read more

Tried to call multiple times no answer and no voicemail. Drove to the restaurant and arrived at 7:15. Walked in and was told by the gentlemen they closed at 7pm. I am from out of town and was in Garden City for business. I made an effort to try a highly rated restaurant. It would be appreciated if the management would make an effort to have a voicemail service for their phone line or update their hours on Yelp etc. I was told the online information is "outdated". Why don't you fix that? I'm sure your food is fantastic and I'd love to try it sometime. read more

Yup... you can have a really great Pho in Garden City Kansas! And the secret's out because the place was filled with locals enjoying steaming hot bowls and plates of really well prepared Vietnamese cuisine. My combination Pho was absolutely delicious... I opted for steak and tendon. read more

After reading all of the reviews, I was expecting to be blown away by the food. It was good, don't get me wrong, but not as amazing as I had expected. Of course, my comparison is the famous Vietnam Cafe in Kansas City and it's hard to beat that. I'm sure my mistake was not ordering the Pho, but I wanted to try something different.
