They were more authentic than Tex Mex (everything here is), but a great proportion of sauce to cheese to enchilada. With a bit of the spicy salsa (yowza!) or pico (the pico is ah-MAYYY-zing!), just mmmmmmmMMMMMM. So good! Picky Eater (our 18 yo son) got 3 burritos with just ground beef and cheese inside. He was in heaven. Vegan (our 15 yo dgtr) got the fries and some chips and guac. She was fighting us ALL off her food. That GUACCC!!! Yum, yum, YUM. Just yum. And they serve beer, too! Y'all. This little restaurant is a gem. My husband wants to go back this morning for breakfast. You just have to check it out if you find yourself in Garden City. The queso dip and guacamole came out immediately however an hour passed, and they still had not brought my tostadas. I informed the server that I understood they were busy, but I would no longer want the tostadas. He told me to hold on. He would be right back and he came back with the tostadas. I continued to tell the server I no longer want the tostadas. It had been an hour for one tostada. The best part was the mariachi band playing. My second visit I got guacamole, queso dip, and automatically everything comes with chips and salsa . The guacamole was just mashed avocado. There was nothing in it. I had none of the other ingredients. I sat at the bar this time the bartender was not around. I ordered a burrito with no rice and asked for avocado which I payed extra for the kind woman who brought out my order told me to check it and I did. Told me to let her know if there was no avocado. But my burrito also had rice and so I went up and told her like she asked me to. It started a fight with the guy who made the burrito he came out and verbally attacked me in front of my sister and the other customers that were sitting there as well as the ladies that took the order. The ladies apologized for the way he acted but after that I didn't feel comfortable sitting there so I left. I would have understood if I went up there attacking them first but the little chef guy was going through a menopause episode. The lady who took my order came out and said that it's because they lack communication sometimes. I understand but at the same time I wasn't asking for a new burrito. All I asked for was avocado.
