Service was good. It's a nice small restaurant inside of a shopping plaza. I would definitely recommend coming here again

Pho Nhu Vu is a good Vietnamese restaurant for where it is, managing to hold their own against competing Vietnamese places, the few within a 10-mile radius, anyway. There's a lot to like: plenty of shopping center parking, a convenient location[1], and a well-maintained interior with attractive wall art. They're a relatively young operation, having been open for less than two years. Our server (Sokha) was friendly and got us what we needed. The owner[2] was on the floor helping too. Their cooking's tasty all-around. Our appetizer rolls were decent, and bun bo hue soup soothing. I liked my grilled lemongrass pork chop a lot (#12, the Com Suon Nuong Xa; $7.95). Did I mention prices are reasonable? While their fish sauce was a bit sweeter than I'd prefer (but that's just me), it tied everything together and wasn't bad at all. Credit cards accepted. [1] It's easy to get to if you're not directionally disabled like me [2] I think that was her

Ho hum little Viet place off the highway in Deleware. We were traveling and hungry and stopped by. The food we had was average and not too flavorful, but the prices were certainly low. Food was served quickly. I would say this is probably more like a 2.5

No flavor,,, Where's the basil, where's the flavor? Basically it's just lettuce and bean sprouts! Then when i ask to switch it out for the veggie egg roll they said no!! And they still charge me for this mess!!

Came here to try another pho place in DE! Service was good we came and ordered and the food was brought out to us immediately. We got two appetizers : pork roll and the shrimp and ground pork fried roll. Both appetizers were delicious! I especially liked the fried shrimp roll the best. The steak pho was decent. I still had to add sauce to make it better but the broth is way better than the place I tried in middletown (which is now closed apparently ). Plenty of meat and noodles for what you pay for! For DE standard for Asian food would be a 4 but overall rating compared to other pho places I have been to its a 3. I would come back again when I have another craving for pho and don't want to drive home to VA! The prices were also fairly decent as well.

Terrible pho and Bun. The meat tasted 2 days old! The spring rolls were not any better. Won't be back. We left it on the table...

i used to like this place. But the quality of the food has gone down greatly. i and a friend went on a saturday for lunch- there was only 1 other table occupied. bad sign. i ordered Grilled chicken with egg roll, my friend had the beef pho. My entree was very disappointing. it was served in a big bowl, grilled chicken on top of some noodles, with some shredded lettuce, some bits of carrot & cucumber, and then a couple smallish egg rolls. the chicken & egg rolls were good, but the rest was bland, no flavor, no sauce or anything. my friends pho was ok he said but also disappointing in taste. i doubt we will go back, there's much better pho elsewhere.

Kids pho, small pho & large pho. Spring rolls & fried dumplings

The service is mediocre again what one would expect in one of these small restaurants. The reason for the three for my rating was the table where I sat, had every plastic soup spoon with debris on them. You may think this is petty however it's the little things that matter in a restaurant, the attention to detail, one had to notice those spoons because they had to be stacked in their holder. Makes you wonder what else is being overlooked in the kitchen area?

While I thought it is fine for a neighborhood Vietnamese spot, it was not worth going out of the way to come here. We tried the bun bo hue (beef lemongrass pho) and a combo of beef pho and a pork hoagie. The lemongrass pho had pork feet, 4 small pieces of beef, and 3 slices of Vietnamese ham. Aside from the spice, the broth lacked depth. The hoagies were small and was mostly just bread with very little meat. In general, I found their portions to be small and the ratio of meat to stuff (noodles, bread, etc) is rather low. The combo portions are the same size as the kids portions. The server said that it is roughly 2/3 of the regular portion but I think it is less than that. On the plus side, I think they've done a good job of adapting their menu to appeal to people that are not familiar with Vietnamese food.

It's also BYOB, so if you're of legal drinking age, you can bring your own beer. This restaurant is located in the Fairfax Shopping Center right between Walgreens and Crab du Jour on Concord Pike, and there is plenty of free parking in the lot. When you walk in, you immediately know the place is authentic by the aroma of incense and the mini altars with daily offerings to Ông Địan and Thần Tài. The space itself is clean, spacious, and has plenty of seating. The friendly staff attended to our needs right away, brought us water and menus, and took our orders. I ordered the Bún Đặc Biệt (house special vermicelli topped with a mix of grilled pork, shrimp, fresh herbs, and sliced chả giò), a bánh mì thịt heo nướng (grilled pork), a bánh mì thịt bò nướng (grilled beef), and a bánh mì chả lụa (pork meat loaf). My nephew ordered the Phở Tái Nạm Gầu (thinly sliced raw eye-round steak, well-done flank, and fatty brisket), while my wife ordered the Bún Chả Giò. The pho was amazing--authentic, savory, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. The bun dishes were delicious and cool, hitting our appetites perfectly on a 90°+ day. What really makes the difference with vermicelli is having a great nước mắm sauce, and this place does it perfectly. And the bánh mì sandwiches--wow! Having great bread is the foundation, and this place absolutely hits the mark. The combination of the thinly sliced marinated meats topped with a crisp, tangy julienned mix of daikon and carrots, long cucumber sticks for a fresh crunch, bright cilantro, and fresh jalapeños for a spicy kick makes all the difference. It's what elevates it from an OK sandwich to a truly great one. We're definitely hitting this spot again whenever we're in town. Tip: When ordering sandwiches to go, let them know if you plan to eat them the same day or the next day and they'll separate the veggies for you so the baguette doesn't get soggy!

Pork was done to perfection and the roll and fresh/pickled veggies were crunchy and fresh and light and so yummy.
