If there's a separate star to rate Service and Food I'd rate food 5 star and service 1! The first time they opened we had an amazing service by one of the older men. He checked on us and asked he we were doing. Second time around it was the same person and I tip more than 20 percent. I went there on Thursday and there was only 4 table. At the time. I dined in with my husband and my kids as we always do when we go. The server was a younger man with glasses and there was a younger girl. Once our appetizer arrived it was delicious. But then when the food came the server didn't even bother taking the plates or at least clear off some of the plates on the table. Never checked on us and see if we needed more water. And lastly I asked a box to go because my kids couldn't finish the pho that I ordered. It was extra large. There were soo many noodles and soups left. I asked for a container where I can put the noodles, the server came and just placed it, he literally was watching me placing the soup and didn't even bother bringing another container knowing that extra large soup is a lot!!!!!!!!!! So I spilled the soup and all he did was stare.. ( I used to work as a server in a casino where it's hectic, I still had to be on top of my game and makes customer satisfied. Went on a Sunday night, fast and efficient service. My husband and l shared a grill pork Banh mi. Good amount of meat and vegetables; bun was very light airy crispy. It's one of the better Bahn mi l ever had. Got the vermicelli with grill pork and pork roll. Hearty size; very good and tasty. Also got the beef stew soup noodles. Broth was okay. Nothing spectacular - wasn't great but wasn't bad either. On the sweeter side, even for pho. The place was clean and very big and the bowls/portions were huge. Horrible experience, owner offered 10% cash discount, but automatic tip around 25% based of original price was added to the bill without any communication, for lunch, yes, for lunch. I never gave a negative review ever. But my Wife and I ate here on the 2nd day that it opened. It was equivalent to witnessing the Titanic sinking. Three families and a couple left the restaurant before their food came out. I'll only give you my observation. But first the good news. *My Wife and I got served in a reasonable amount of time. (We got there before a flood of people arrived). They were not prepared for that flood. *Place was nice and clean (no music playing. Just chatter talking and clanking dishes in the kitchen). *Food was very good. That's why I'll be back. *Prices were reasonable. Quantity of food was plenty. Now for the... Well... Not so good. Young waiter asked what drinks we'd like. My Wife ordered an advacodo shake. It never came. When we told another employee about where our shake was he said that's not on the menu. Nor did our pork chop ever come to us. The whole staff looked confused as many orders were delivered to the wrong tables including our big bowl of soup. One young waitress comes out the kitchen with arms loaded with freshly cooked food. She walks to the middle of the floor. Looks around. Then walks right back into the kitchen. One customer walls in and stands by the entrance for about 20 minutes without anyone greeting him. No numbers on the menu. So you have to remember the foreign name of your food. No numbers on the table. We talked to, who I believed to be, a manager. He explained that it was their 2nd day opened. All the while talking to us he was holding onto a food order which should have been given to the chef. Another important guy told him about the order in his hand. No, he didn't give it up. He wanted to justify why it was chaotic. I didn't have the heart to tell him the bathroom sink was backed up. Will I be back? Absolutely! I believe in 2nd and 3rd chances. Pho One was great. Walked right in on a Saturday night and were greeted promptly. The restaurant was busy, but the service was quick and very friendly. We started with the summer rolls followed by the vermicelli noodle bowl with sugarcane shrimp and filet/oxtail pho. The shrimp ok the noodle bowl were not grilled shrimp, but more like shrimp cakes which was a bit disappointing. I had never tried oxtail before and it was way too fatty for my liking, but everything else was extremely fresh and delicious. Easy, quick, good dinner! read more

I went here today and I thought the food was pretty good. They have unique appetizers that usually are not offered in viet restaurants. I had banh beo which was really good. And I had the Vietnamese sandwich which was good too. The pho was yummy. Two servers working ten tables. We sat for ten mins and no menu ever came. We had to ask for the menu. Sat for another 15 mins and no server asked us what beverages we wanted or what our order was to be. I literally had to ask the server to take our orders. What is happening here?? The guy at the register doesn't do anything but stay at the register. Maybe he shld help the waiters because they obviously need it. Also the waiters kept bringing the wrong dishes to the wrong table. Do they not know the orders with what table? Kind of upsetting a decent restaurant like this can become bad if the service continues this way. But the food was still good. I ordered chicken wings this time and their spring rolls. 3 of us for dinner on a Saturday night. Seated right away as the restaurant was pretty empty. Ordered the shrimp roll as an appetizer along with an order of spring rolls. The shrimp rolls, 2 per order, were decent but nothing to rave about. They came with peanut sauce which was very good. The spring rolls were also just decent. 2 pho soup orders and 1 salad order. Although each order had good taste one on the pho orders that was delivered to the table wasn't what we ordered. The meat in each of the orders was fatty which was a big turnoff. Also tried to order a dairy free bubble tea but was told no dairy free available. Also, service was non existent, server never checked on us. On a positive note we did like the Unsweetened tea. I've been coming here for my Vietnamese food fix. Love the workers, love the food. The only problem I have is whenever we ordered a XL pho to go, it comes with ALOT of noodles and meat but not enough soup to even cover the noodle. I was originally introduced to PHO about 8 years ago, when there was only 1 really good Vietnamese/PHO restaurant in the area. Then more places opened. Had a very good place a block away - and they recently closed :(. So, I've been going to two other places in Edison. Last night, I decided I wanted to see if there was another place to try and I found Pho One. I placed an order for delivery. OMG!!!! It did NOT disappoint. Everything was fresh and broth was absolutely DELISH. I order the Goi Cuon which was extremely fresh tasting and peanut sauce just perfect. Then I moved on to P1 a Pho One, which was beef filet mignon and ox tail Pho. I just can NOT say how delish this was. You could taste the different meat flavors in the broth which was light brown in color and perfectly balanced with spices. I know every Vietnamese restaurants/ families have their own Pho broth recipes. Some light, some more spicy ...... this really was just hands down amazing. I always order beef balls in addition but I couldn't find this option under "sides" on the door dash menu. I could have missed it...... so, I decided to order (for lunch today) Bo Vien - beef ball soup. I really don't like beef balls that have large chunks of cartilage in them - it's such a turn off. It's really a hit or miss - but PHo Ones..... so yummy and great taste - no chunks. I wish I could give 10 stars here. I have found a new favorite place and can't wait to try other dishes. I also wanted to say how well my order was packed and it was great to get the garnishes without having a ton of water in the bag. Great job!!!! I haven't had a bad meal here. The pho is great. Pork chops over rice my kids love. But you must get the beef stew. It was buttery and melt in your mouth tender. It has a small kick to it but it is the perfect dish to have on this cold winter day. read more

Yum yum yum! There are a lot of Vietnamese places around Edison nowadays and I've tried them all. I read about this on yelp and told my parents about the place since they also wanted to try a new spot. They raved about Pho One and so naturally I also had to try it out. Well, I'm happy that I did. Everything we had was on point. The fresh spring roll with pork and shrimp was tight and well balanced. For entrees, my son had the pork chop, fried tofu, egg quiche, egg roll and rice while I had a pho dish. We both loved our entrees! For drinks we had taro shakes with tapioca. We agreed that it was probably the best taro shake we've ever had although we've had better tapioca. Not saying the tapioca was bad, just that others have better. Couple all this with good service and the place deserves a 5 star rating for our first experience with them. We will be back read more
