This little pho spot is unsuspecting in a plaza. It's really clean and quiet. The service was fantastic and quick. The pho was top notch! So many fresh veggies! Loved it!

Nice restaurant with fast service. It has music from the 1980s and 1990s from Cyndi Lauper to Seal. Gives me old lady cooking delicious traditional meals in the kitchen. The pho was inexpensive at $13.95 for the xe lei (large bowl). Definitely will come back

Solid Vietnamese food offering. I was in the neighborhood and we got takeout for a group of 9 and everything was ready in less than 30 minutes or so. Friendly service and seemed like a cozy place to eat.

Guys... you HAVE to try this place! The food is SO delicious, everything is incredibly affordable, the place is cozy and authentic, and the staff is really friendly! Their almond bubble tea is out of this world, and we were constantly awed by the food and how huge the portions were for the price! We got the beef pho, the pork vermicelli dish, and the spring rolls in lettuce wraps. My boyfriend leaned over partway through the meal and said if I ever wanted to spontaneously meet up here, any time, any day, he would be there So grateful i got this recommendation from a fellow yelper and we will absolutely be back!

My favorite pho ever! Bun Bo hue is my cure for any sickness. It's truly warms my heart everytime I eat from here. I like it extra spicy!

Hidden gem that I've been looking for. So many different options for Pho and rice dishes. Looking forward to trying so much more of their dishes. Whether you're looking for bahn mi, pho, or something with rice, there's something for everyone.

We came in as a group of 5 during what seemed to be a busy time (I had to park at the farther side of the parking lot because it was getting pretty filled). Food was tasty! I especially liked the crispiness of the spring rolls and the pho was very filling. I definitely would go back again, but there are some things I would improve upon. During that busy time, I felt like we were forgotten about. The staff was friendly, but they forgot to fill up our waters and also forgot parts of our orders. Eventually, we got everything, but it took a lot longer and more reminders than I would want to give.

I think I've found my go to Vietnamese restaurant. The place is a bit far from home, but the places I used to frequent have become quite mediocre. This place is no frills, we were seated quickly and presented right away with tea. We started off with the shrimp summer rolls, which could have used some cucumber or extra ingredients but they were fine. The seafood pho was loaded with seafood (probably frozen, but that was okay). Everything came out super quickly and we left full and happy.

Coming here for early dinner; ordered a beef pho and two summer rolls. I like this restaurant because the quality of dishes has its consistency, taste as you expected as it should be. When I crave for pho or want something soupy for my stomach, I come here.

Located in a strip mall. Ample parking. Service is not rushed at all. We actually stayed a little past closing and didn't realize it, but they were so polite and didn't say a word! Credit cards accepted.

Crispy spring rolls served with lettuce and herbs to wrap and dip in yummy fish sauce based dip! Not to be missed.

This place is so good. The food is amazing and authentic. The Crispy Spring Rolls are perfectly crisp and the Pho broth is clean and flavorful. The owners don't speak English well, but are friendly. The interior is comfy and clean. I enjoy getting their extra large bowl of Pho and just chatting with friends. I'm glad I was recommended this place.

If you are in the South Amboy area and craving Vietnamese food, please stop by Pho Da Nang. It's a family run restaurant and in recent years, we all know how important it is to support local business! Came by here one evening with my family. They have plenty of seats for indoor dining. There were a good amount of people dining in for the dinner crowd. I must say that the staff was still attentive and quick to serve food. Noticed others brought their own bottles of wine. Found out this place is BYOB, which is always a plus in my book. We ordered a variety of different foods to share and sample. Appetizers - summer rolls and spring rolls were both very good. Spring rolls were crispy and fried to perfection. Beef banhmi was more filling than expected and the beef was very flavorful. Highly recommend all of them. Pho - I forgot which number I ordered but it was good. I feel like it might've been #11 because I do recall it having beef and tripe in it. It wasn't piping hot as I expected, but it was still pretty good nonetheless. Bo luc lac - beef was well marinated and tender. Wasn't over cooked. Can't go wrong with this and white rice. My family enjoyed their vermicelli dishes. I didn't get to taste it but I can assume they were good. If you love Vietnamese coffee, please order one for yourself. They personally drip their coffee so it's fresh (and strong, just how I like it!). They offer bubble tea as well, but I didn't get a chance to try it. Btw, there's plenty of parking since it is located in a strip. It is located right off route 9 so it is conveniently accessible. Overall, very good experience dining here. I recommend 4.5/5 simply bc I feel like I need to try more of their food since their menu is sooo extensive. Would definitely dine again if I have time when I visit NJ again.

There were many empty tables with dirty dishes left on them, which to me suggested they were understaffed that day. To my knowledge, Lua was recently constructed, however the booth seating was already ripping and the floor and booth seams were honestly grimy. I would've expected those from a hole in the wall restaurant, but it looks really modern and "elevated" inside. My menu was dirty and I didn't realize it was missing some pages (because the pages ripped from the staple) so I thought the menu was a lot smaller than it was. I hope they find a better way of cleaning the restaurant interior and menus, and update the menus to higher quality. I ordered (S3)- Vietnamese Dried Noodles, which came with a bowl of soup. The rest of my party ordered (A16)- Butter Glazed Fried Quail and (B4)- Grilled Pork and Spring Roll on Rice Vermicelli. -I ended up eating the (S3) Dried Noodles for four days because of the shear quantity of them, so to me it was incredible value. And it had a fair portion of seafood and the flavor was actually surprisingly super delicious, if not a bit sweet. I had an upset stomach that day and was happily surprised this dish came with soup. I would reorder this, especially if I was hungry. -For me, the quail (A16) was a little dry but well seasoned. There were two quails in the serving. I would reorder this again only if I was craving small bites. - The pork chop (B4) was on the above average side in terms of taste, but fairly large in terms of size. There was rice, spring roll, egg omlette, along with other sides. Overall, Lua Vietnamese Restaurant had an extensive menu and I really enjoyed the food. However, while the food was quick to come out, the table service was painfully slow and the interior was grimy. I'd recommend giving it a try if you're in the area, but not in a rush.

The initial customer service was warm and welcoming, and we were seated promptly. However, once our food arrived, it felt like the service tapered off. No one checked in on us throughout the meal to see if we needed anything or if everything was to our liking. A few table touches would have made the dining experience feel much more attentive. For appetizers, we ordered the shrimp and pork spring rolls. They were fresh and delicious, though I do think the portion size could be a bit larger for the $6.95 price. For our entrees, we both ordered the oxtail pho. It looked very appetizing when it arrived. I always like to take a sip of the broth before adding any condiments so I can appreciate its natural flavor. Unfortunately, the broth was very bland and lacked the rich, aromatic depth I expect from a good pho. It was disappointing because the presentation was excellent, but the broth ultimately fell short of expectations. Overall, the experience had a strong start with friendly service and prompt food delivery, but the lack of follow-up service and the underwhelming broth left me disappointed. With a more flavorful broth and more attentive service throughout the meal, this could be a much better dining experience.
