Come here for the food, which is outstanding. Never had a dish here that wasn't done to perfection. Their ramen is perfect for the current cold and dreary weather. I am a huge fan of Pho #6, but also the vegetarian Pho. And their pork ban mi... omg... I can snarf that up in no time ... the bread is delicious, the porkbelly nicely done, the spicy mayo has just the right umpf... now the jalapenos pack a punch and i tend to forget to take them off, my mistake, lave them on if you like the heat. Service can be sketchy, seems to be gettign worse, but then again staff shortages are plaguing the industry right now. Also while they try to make this place look cute, it's not the most stunning or romantic restaurant. There is a private lot in front, be prepared for folks disregarding the parking lot marking and just make up their own spots. Navigating here can be a bit tricky. Grabbed a bowl of pho here during lunch on a weekday. It was surprisingly busy, but it was lunch hour. The waitress was running around taking everyone's orders but she was doing her best. I ordered the pork egg rolls and sliced rare beef pho. The egg rolls were super hot when they came out. Must have been directly from the fryer. The flavors were good, although I wish the cabbage in them was slightly more chopped up. The pho broth was rich and flavorful. The beef used was very fatty and was marbled which gave it a weird texture. Not a bad texture..just different. Will definitely be back on lunch break again! read more

I ordered shrimp pho and thought it was good. My husband got the pho tai and it was pretty mediocre. The meat kind of tasted like it had been frozen and then defrosted? Not sure how to explain but it didn't taste fresh. Also thought it was a bit strange because a little girl sat us and the rest of the staff were hanging out and eating ice cream by the counter. When we pulled up to the less-than-ideal strip center Pho Real is stationed in, we had our doubts. The outside could use some love, but luckily we'd seen this stellar Yelp reviews and great photos of the clean interior and continued on. Thank goodness we did! The server was incredibly kind, friendly and efficient and the food was piping hot and completely scrumptious. I'd been craving wantons for some time, so we started off with the beef and shrimp wantons appetizer. They came in a cute, bamboo steamer basket, as well as with a side of jalepenos and sprouts. They were sooooooo warm and savory. Definitely coming back for them. We also ordered the 'full-cooked beef' pho and pad Thai with chicken. The pho was yummy, as was the beef. I really enjoyed the spices they used and couldn't finish it, it was that big. My husband said his pad Thai was the second-best he's had in his life (and we go to a lot of Thai places). These are high remarks, as I also tried the pad Thai and LOVED it. They did the sauce right!! So many places don't have much taste in the sauce if you don't order it spicy, yet this one completely did. Our server was super sweet and ran the place well. There were other families in the restaurant, including several young children. The server was gracious to a mom trying to clean up the floor after her child's mess and took care of it for them. This place is right around the corner from my job. Decided to try this since they mentioned Lao food was also here. I'm Lao and love Lao food so I will be back to try the other entrees that are Lao related. The inside is nice and so is the staff. I would say that the Pho is pretty ok. My daughter and stopped in today because husband was bragging up this place. I'm happy to say he wasn't exaggerating. We had chicken wings, dumplings, Pad Kee Mow, and shrimp rice vermicelli. Located in what used to be Home Place, it is now the southern edge of Carmel. Its in a small older strip mall and inside it's very nice and very clean. There are office buildings near by, so I suspect many of the customers were from there. There was an interesting selection of food: Laotian, Vietnamese and Thai. I love pho, so that's what I ordered. Close to my office, Pho Real has quickly become one of my favorite lunch spots in the area. Family-owned with friendly staff and authentic food, there isn't much not to like. I came here only twice before the staff remembered me and what I ordered. The Pho special has 5 different types of meats is my go-to order. The portions are giant, and they are very generous with the helpings of both noodles and meat to the point where I can't always finish, and I'm a big dude. Both people I came with got the Pho with chicken and had plentiful portions as well. The shrimp spring roll appetizers, in the rice paper, are very fresh and pair great with the peanut sauce to dip. Just be ready to take some Pho home if you order them. I've never strayed from the Pho but will update my review. read more

I really wanted to give a better review but this review is heartbreaking for me. First off, I appreciated that this restaurant followed all covid protocol with spacing out tables, everyone wore a mask and I did feel that everything was wiped cleaned. I ordered pad see ew. It was very salty and the noodles were very broken. (Appears to have used frozen noodles). I waited for someone to come and ask how the meal was but after 10 mins, I ended chasing the waitress down and letting her know my meal was very salty and I need a bowl of rice to balance it off. When I got my bill, I was charged an extra $2 for the rice. I didn't want to make a big deal but for principle sake, charging me was so uncalled for. I guess I could have asked to talk to a manager but again, I didn't want to make a big deal. I also ordered banh mi beef to go and I have to say it is nothing like the original banh mi I am used to. The beef was not Asian inspired marinated, in fact, I'm not sure if I was marinated at all. It was beef cut in strip. I was disappointed in the $7 sandwhich.... I came to this restaurant for my very last meal in indianapolis because it was close and the reviews were good. Based off the name, i was expecting this to be mainly a Vietnamese restaurant but it seemed more to be laotion with vietnamese options. I ordered the combo pho which was not what i was expecting. The broth did not taste authentic and felt like it was missing ingredients like star anise. It tasted more like chicken or veggie broth. The noodles were okay. The meat was underwhelming, the rare steak was chewy. The meatballs were gummy and lacked flavor. The shrimp wonton was good, not what i was expecting but tasty. It was a shrimp wrapped and deep fried. Overall the food is decent but probably would not get the pho. Maybe the laotion options may taste more consistent and authentic. This is my favorite Thai spot. All the noodle dishes are great and so is the Curry. The Pho special is perfect fall and winter food. It's a bit of a hole in the wall, but It's a gem. Deceiving name with horrible food and service. My family and I came on a Saturday and had chosen this place based off of the stars it had received on Yelp. We were definitely led astray. Wtf kind of food are you guys eating here because we had the most disgusting Asian food I've ever had. The workers here are Lao or Thai. No way they are viet. Their pho is trash and the wrong type of flavor. My mom ordered the vegetarian pho and it was just veggies with probably some sort of bouillon mixed with water. Yuck. My brother and I ordered the pad see ew. SO salty and potent. I couldn't even eat a fourth of it. My husband ordered vermicelli noodles and guess what, it never came. It took us AN HOUR to get our food. Our waters were never refilled and dirty dishes were picked up ONCE. My family got our entrees except my husband and so he went up to tell them that he never received his dish and would like for it to be taken off the bill. They told him he had to pay for it because it was "already done in the back." We had to argue to get it taken off our bill. He left and didn't get to eat any dinner. It was horrible. What a waste of ingredients for a place that doesn't know how to cook. The staff laughed at my husband as he walked out and said "what the f-." What kind of place does that??? I would say this is a 3.5 rating for me. I've come here a couple of times as it's close to where my fiancé works. With that said, aside from location, I do prefer another pho place than here. The service is a little slower but I'm usually not in a rush. The prices are average and the space is nice. The restaurant is pretty cold so I can see why pho would be a great choice. Today we both got the Pad Kee Mo with tofu and I got a spice level 2 (out of 5) and I found it a little spicier than I would've liked but it was on the saltier side. I enjoy this dish because of the wide noodles and the crunch of the veggies. I also had the coconut soup and it's not what I would've expected, in a good way! I do have a favorite pho spot near my house that I love, but I've been wanting to try this place for a while now. I ordered from Doordash and got my food in a better time than originally quoted. While the food was good, I didn't exactly gush over it. The broth(still nice and hot) came separated in it's own tub covered in plastic which I appreciated. The beef, noodles, bean sprouts, and sauce were packed together. I think the seasoning was a little different than my other spot but as stated the food was still good. Honestly one of the biggest shockers I've had since moving to Indianapolis, is not the cold temperature, but rather the lack of pho restaurants in a place that's so cold! Thank goodness I found this place because I swear by pho when I start to feel like I'm getting sick or even not feeling my best. We got delivery one night when I was starting to feel a bit under the weather (thankfully exhaustion, not Covid), and the pho brought life back to my tired bones! We both ordered the chicken pho (pho ga), pork banh mi, and split an order of egg rolls (which are really spring rolls and decadent). The pho broth (a good indicator of how it's going to be) had a wonderful rich and savory flavor, probably some of the best broth I've had in a while! Serving size was great, and just the right ratio of chicken to noodles. The banh mi were incredible and the lemongrass pork was to die for. Banh mi's are always just consistently good sandwiches, and this one really hit the mark! Plus at ~$7 it's super reasonable for the price! The spring rolls were how I liked them, thin crispy wrapper around the minced pork and shitake mix which goes exceptionally well with their sweet nuoc mam dipping sauce. I'm excited to see that it's not just a Vietnamese restaurant and they have a lot of other Thai dishes on the menu, so we'll surely be back to try their noodle entrees and curry and get some boba tea once it warms up again! read more
