We were briefed on three basic and reasonable safety precautions before venturing into the Haunted House. The actors and actresses did very well. They may scream at you, but they won't touch you if you don't touch them. I thought the way they approached you or talked to you was freaky - but in a good way. Sometimes you don't notice them right away lurking in the shadows. Others just follow your movements with their eyes and/or attempt to stare you down. Things may get loud and sudden. There is an early 'chicken exit' option if things get too freaky for your liking. I'd suggest taking your time and walking slow, observe your surroundings even to take the most out of the experience. Beware of looking over your shoulder too much. We spent a decent amount of time in there. The props and themes varied room-to-room. There are some rooms that are very dark, and others just very dim. There are gory rooms and creepy rooms where things moved and others may not be 'things'. The effort put into creating this was apparent. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience overall - the sort that I would love to come back to with a bunch of other friends and re-experience, just to get a kick out of their reactions. However, when we were parking we saw that the steel barrels that keep the string up fell over and actually damaged some vehicles. stay away from those when you park. Okay On to the park Upon seeing the attraction it looks big. The ticket line and entrance line can be confusing. But there are people there to guide you. There is music for entertainment and some characters walking around but not enough of them. The line setup in nicely organized. Inside the haunt, was great not too scary that was okay. There are some claustrophobic areas FYI. What it did lack were actors just in general it needed more actors. Super cool themes and the structure of the entire place was well constructed. Tips for the owners. It would be nice to have a projector with a screen where the line is at with a scary movie playing. Like " House of a Thousand Corpses " get their heart pumping. Luckily, Creepy Hollow stays open a little after Halloween which worked out perfect for us! Creepy Hollow has been on my radar for awhile. I heard it was the scariest around so I had to check it out. I live in Pearland, so getting here was easy. I'm sure it's a drive for most people. We got there early so parking was a breeze, but they do have people directing traffic as it does get busy during the Halloween season. We came on a discount weekend so it was 5 dollars off the 40 dollar price rage. Kinda steep you say? I think it's fair since you get 3 attractions and entertainment all throughout the grounds. You can also pay extra for speed passes to skip lines. On top of that, you can also pay extra if you don't want the actors to touch you. Yes you read that right, they do touch. None of us paid for extras, and for the most part, the touching wasn't over the top. Some were a little much, but nothing inappropriate, just rough. The scare factor was definitely there in all the attractions. They did a great job with the set ups and themes of the different houses. I definitely had a few scream moments even though I was supposed to be protecting the gals. They also have shows, shops, entertainment and food throughout the property. Overall, my peeps and I had a blast and are planning on coming back next year for our spooky fix!

First of all, it's more like a Haunted House theme park as there are three main attractions: Scare Factory, Pitch Black (clown themed), and Dark Woods Swamp. There is also food, a fire show and freak show, and and some other shows as well as shops where you can buy merch. We had a funnel cake that was probably one of the best I've ever had! There was also a mini dance room as well and random characters throughout the park whose goal was to put you on edge or simply make you gawk! I did zero research into this and thought it would just be a simple haunted house. I was very wrong! I can see why they call it the scariest in Texas as I thought the main attractions were well thought out with props, sounds, smells and of course the wonderful actors! One person in my party got abducted at one point! That really freaked me out lol. I recommend going early because the lines can get long. We were there for about 2.5 hours. Overall it was a great experience and well worth the price! Highly recommend if you actually want to be scared!

We had such an incredible day from start to finish. We ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., where the staff was amazing and the food was delicious. Then we took our 8- and 9-year-olds and their friends to the Aquarium for the stingray experience, which was easily one of the highlights of the day. They absolutely loved it! We also rode the boat and had a blast--the crew was so fun, energetic, and engaging. We finished the day riding all of the rides, many of them multiple times, and the kids could not have been happier. Kemah Boardwalk has been part of so many memories for our family over the years, and getting to experience it now through our kids' eyes makes it even more special. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff who helped make our day so unforgettable. We can't wait to come back!

I'm old enough to remember when Kemah was just a sleepy, small fishing town caught (no pun…read moreintended) between Harris and Galveston counties. And then, sometime near the turn of the century, the Kemah Boardwalk changed all that. Out-of-town visitors by the -- give or take -- tens of thousands pay a visit every spring and summer, making Kemah a necessary item on any Houston travel itinerary. As a lifelong resident of the Houston area, I've been to the Boardwalk quite a few times for that rare opportunity to fine dine or show relatives from afar around. In my latest visit, my older brother, my eldest cousin, and I took our cousins visiting for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary here for a good hour or two on a comfortably warm day. While I'm not that thrilled that the Boardwalk is under the Landry's corporate umbrella, I still feel it's a landmark worth treating your guests to. The nearby Clear Creek and Galveston Bay look spectacular when the weather is cooperating, providing for an ideal backdrop for selfies and group pictures. Continuing on the subject of pictures, train your phones or cameras on the place's piece de resistance, the amusement park area. The famed Rattler is the most visually striking feature of the complex in my book. My poor health prevents me from getting on the rides except for the train, but I can't pass up a chance to take snaps of them. The six of us took the train around the Boardwalk. It was a great, quick way to catch a glimpse of the premises. Two tunnels, with one that's attached to Saltgrass Steakhouse, are a part of the short trek. If you're capturing pictures, I recommend that you do them in bursts . The train may move at a slow speed, but things tend to go by really fast. I almost forgot, there's a row of games that you would find at a traditional amusement park along the water. Highly recommend if you have kids. The Boardwalk isn't exactly for me, but it doesn't stop me from giving it close to high marks.

The overall haunted house I felt was a bit cheesy, and not very scary. It's a good place to take kids though if you're looking for something a little more on the light side in terms of scare factor. I did enjoy that they have a selfie section set up with all kinds of cool props. I did also enjoy the axe throwing, zombie brain toss mini game, and zombie paintball activity. They have a Halloween store right next door as well, so you can also check that out while you're there and pricing is pretty decent there. Overall, I don't think I'd come here again as I prefer something scarier, but good place if you are looking for a family night out.

My friend and I had planned a fun night, and he was so excited to go as it was my first time at a haunted house. He arrived and was on the phone with me, simply trying to find my car so he could come get me. Before he even made it to my car door, he was aggressively approached and accused of trying to break into cars. Instead of asking questions or verifying anything, the main security guy immediately escalated the situation. He refused to even speak with me when I tried to explain, told my friend he had to leave or he'd take him to jail, and claimed he had a "witness" when no one ever came over or saw what actually happened. He had just bought our tickets online, but they kicked us out without a refund, without any respect, and without listening. It was humiliating and infuriating to see someone instantly stereotyped and treated like a criminal for doing absolutely nothing wrong. What was supposed to be a fun night turned into a painful reminder of how casually people still weaponize assumptions against Black men. Phobia, do better your staff's behavior was unacceptable and deeply disappointing
