There is a self-serve table that have nice plates, utensils, half-and-half, milk, and napkins. There are plenty of seats, and the place is bright, warm, cool, and inviting. All the bakery items at the Misericordia Sweet Shoppe are made by the residents and boy, do they seriously give Chicagoland bakeries a run for their money. Some highlights: - Macaroons: super buttery and delicious, these are some of the best macaroons I have ever tasted - Cookies: These are one of their specialties. We tried the vegan cranberry chocolate cookies per the server's recommendation, and they were heavenly. - Coconut cake: super light, creamy, airy, buttery, coconut-ty. Wow! - Yogurt parfait: unsweetened and serves with berries some deliciously crunchy granolas. The ambience at this bakery is also excellent: everything is super clean, modern, and well organized, with bright & spacious dining areas and a cute little gift shop. I found the bowl to be plenty sweet without the addition of honey. The fruit was fresh and ripe, and the açaí base added a nice tartness. I can't wait to go back to try something else!
