Tiny, but obviously bespoke, Melt looked the opposite of commercial or corporate. The person behind the register was helpful, informative, and obviously passionate about Melt's chocolates. He helped us pick out two boxes of assorted chocolates which we enjoyed later that night while drinking a Blanc de Blancs champagne. Melt's chocolates are uniquely flavored and taste sublime. They are some of the best sold anywhere, including Europe and Japan. Only open on weekends and holidays, Melt is worth a special journey.

The sourdough dark chocolate pretzels are something I personally could eat an entire bag of, so they're plenty dangerous and could be paired with beer, whisky or your favorite cocktail easily. Soft carmel was chewy but only JUST chewy enough where I didn't feel like I'd have to go to the dentist to get my fillings redone like some carmels I'm legit afraid of. The white chocolate raspberry ganache truffle was smooth and creamy like how you picture white chocolate. The hint of raspberry lingers around at the end of the flavor - for those who love raspberry I could even seen that getting punched up a little. The Arc de Triomphe (get it, the name is French?!!) is the peanut butter truffle. It's a souped-up Reese's on steroids. If you like chocolate and you like peanut butter (who doesn't?) you're gonna fall in love with this treat. Something they do with the peanut butter filling gives it an extra layer of complexity and just a hint of crunch.
