Visited Melt for the first time during a very busy Bay View Gallery Night, and they were gracious, friendly, and nothing but helpful and patient. Inside the Lincoln Warehouse, their shop is bright and welcoming, and their case of chocolates pops with color! The gentleman handed us the map of chocolates to make sure we could order anything that might not be in the display case. We built a nice box of eight chocolates, which were incredible. The box itself is very fancy, and you can return the box and insert for a discount on your next visit! Five stars all the way.

Spectacular gift box from Melt in MKE.

Wow, wow, wow. I live in NYC and found Melt while looking for a local Mother's Day gift for my mother-in-law in MKE; these guys whipped up a super-glam box of divine-looking chocolates that thrilled my MIL (who had been pretty bummed that none of her kids or grandkids could visit because of Covid-19). She called to say she'd seen a box of chocolate so beautiful; we loved hearing her so happy. I just wish I could taste! The descriptions sounded scrumptious. (Chocolate w/caramel, fresh lime & basil? Chocolate w/Door County cherries macerated in Great Lakes Distillery whiskey? Yes plz.) David & Bjorn were a pleasure to deal with, customizing the assortment to her tastes and delivering to her door for a very reasonable cost. I'm psyched to check out the factory store in Bay View when this stupid pandemic is over!

I thought this place was new and I was excited to give them a try. When I entered the store it was very clean and the staff was warm and welcoming. I asked how long the store was open and the owner informed me they opened in 2017. The place was small but had a nice variety of chocolates to choose from. We were even lucky enough to try a few samples on the house. I ordered an eight pack of chocolates and when I arrived home I tried the chocolate filled with fresh guava, my mouth watered with satisfaction and I was tempted to eat the entire box that night, but I had to talk myself out of it. The next day I tried another chocolate and it seems like each new piece gets better than the last. I will definitely will recommend this place to anyone and would love to get the word of mouth out. This place also does catering and their packing for their chocolates is so elegant. Their product, packing and service screams "Classy, tasty and rich in taste".

Date of visit: July 28, 2025…read more I stopped in here as I am leading an effort to find local vendors that we can order from as part of a holiday gift effort for some of our customers. I perused the store and selected brittle, taffy, and chocolates as part of a taste testing for the whole team to determine which items were the best to consider as gifts for our customers. Staff was friendly and accomodating, and even offered me a sample after I completed my purchase. Oddly, despite spending about $70 and explaining what I was doing with my purchases, I didn't get a receipt. I dropped an email to the store and received a quick reply and was provided with a picture of the receipt that was quite small and blurry, though thankfully our AP department didn't question it too much and I still got reimbursed for the purchase! And if you were wondering, the taffy was surprisingly good, but wasn't labeled on the package in terms of what flavors were in each bag, so that was a big turn off for our taste testers. The chocolates were a big hit and will be a finalist for our customer gifts!

I read about Burke moving in to this Whitefish Bay location, so I wanted to give them a try. I really wanted to give them the highest rating, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. Super cute shop. Has a nice old time feel to it. Walking in to the place, you find a large selection of many different confections. The "factory" is at their other location downtown Milwaukee. Got greeted by two friendly staff members. Very helpful at explaining the different items and offered to allow me to sample (I did have one piece of the peanut butter crunch). You can either get individual items from the case, or there are pre-packed items on the other walls. I got a mix of different items. Ones that I have found can be a big tricky to make. Fairy Food, Marshmallow, and Caramel. And to be honest I was a bit disappointed. Summer can be a hard to time to make/keep sponge candy (fairy food), and some places don't even make it this time of year because the humidity can make it sticky. Marshmallow has a short shelf life and can get tough. This was exactly my experience with these two items. The chocolate itself was very good. And the presentation was also very impressive wit the other items. They did wrap up everything in attractive cellophane bags with ribbon, and placed in a gift bag with a custom ribbon. Perfect for gift giving. So overall a good (but not great experience). I would stop back again, but keep away from some of the humidity sensitive items.
