The very tone Northborough sets in its support service is highly negative. It is never their fault…read morebut the fault of the vendors. It's managers are unreachable outside of their office hours and the emergency number comes not only with many caveats, but included in the message are threats of fines and banning if one need to ask for help outside its narrow list of acceptable emergencies. They seem to gain favor of the boards but fail miserably to serve the unit owners with any graciousness or courtesy. If you have any say in your association, advise your board to run as fast and as far as they can from this management company. As one who have led property management departments and companies, I can tell you that the petty oppression practiced by Northborough is sadly not uncommon but should have no place in our community. They are disrespectful to unit owners and downright dismissive to renters. They will make our association or complex a darker place than it is without them.

No matter how NPM handles any situation, the owner and property are always NPM's main concern. They always come through. A couple of times I needed to contact the office on a weekend and at night. I received a callback within 5 minutes of the initial phone call. The staff at NPM is helpful and friendly. Thank you NPM for always being there 24/7. Rona Long

Terrible people to deal with. I saw 2 rentals in Uxbridge and fell in love with the one on 16 Cross…read moreSt in Uxbridge MA. I was given a sheet of paper with a QR code. I went right to their office as I really struggle with online applications. In their office asking .Elissa for help. She said to just follow the prompts as they are not allowed to help me. It asked for my credit card. .Elissa said it won't charge me, just do what it says. When it thanked me for my payment, again I asked Melissa what was going on. Then I got all these fraud alerts. Their website brought me to a hacker website. I had to cancel my credit card. Not only that, but they refused to give me a paper application saying if I couldn't do it online it was not their problem. I left multiple messages for the owner Randall as he showed me the property and never got a call back. Very disappointed with this agency. Trying to move back to the Northbride/Uxbridge area, have awesome credit and the agency has most of the listing's. I will report them to the BBB. What they did was unconsciousable. Terrible people, didn't even get an apology...

I will not give my information that is personal information over the Internet so someone can scan me or do fraud with my bank account, I have worked on computers for many years and I know how it works I follow rules and regulations that I have to go by but R&R didn't not care or having any understanding or any respect And a discontinue my application do because they didn't have my boyfriend information. Having everything on paper it is just as good in person than a email All we want was a place to call home. Money wasn't a problem. This unfair to all families that's not Comfortable given information over the Internet It's not safe I had all the proper paperwork that they needed for us to have the apartment This is heartbreaking and sad. I wouldn't recommend R&R To anyone do your research Nfiu not comfortable given your information over the Internet make sure you let them now

This is a nice quiet condominium, set back behind a new section of the Alewife Greenway Bike Path…read more I'm surprised to read the previous review, from 2011. I've lived here since August 2012 and I've enjoyed my stay here. The living space is small but comfortable for couples. The location is amazing - a mile from Alewife T and Davis square. A 2 minute walk to the bus station. You cannot hear traffic. There is a nice grassy area to throw a ball and sunbath on the pool deck. The pool opened in early June and stayed open into September, and the water was always clean. This is cat city, I have indoor cats but there is a nice area to let them out on the leash. But it seems safe for outdoor cats if they are street wise. We have no bug problems (perhaps because we are on the 3rd floor?) The building is older but they seem to be slowly renovating. Our ceiling leaked during one rainstorm (apparently a seagull had drilled a hole through the roof), but maintenance was very speedy in sealing the leak and repairing the water damage to our wall. Other than that, we have had no issues to speak of. The place is clean and the grounds are taken care of. I can't get over how nice it is to have an outdoor balcony with grassy space, a bike trail, and walking distance to Somerville, Cambridge, Medford.... Davis Square... Alewife... Tufts University... the commuter rail, and to be able to afford it. Really, its a gem if you don't mind the smaller size of the apartment.

They continually increase HOA fees and keep imposing special assessments on homeowners. Communication is terrible--they are rude, unprofessional, and rarely respond to emails or phone calls. NACA is a predatory lender driven by folks who lie to get you to pay in then harass you into…read morefinishing the process or -- what they prefer -- walk away from the money they forced you to pay so they can claim higher membership numbers while hiding behind their "stated" mission, which is in fact a way to perpetuate the fallacy of B/AA inferiority. They intentionally ask for an inappropriate and unnecessary amount of documentation. If NACA is legit and by the book why are they having their staff tell you they are recording conversations for your safety? Why do they tell you, repeatedly, they you can get a refund of money you paid? Why refuse to give you your money back after they deleted your profile, which clearly means you are not a "member" so there's no legitimate reason to claim you are part of their "membership"? Why require you to pay up front instead of allowing you to get through the process to ensure you are OK with the requirements when the cheery charade of the process they present is debunked by you actually going through their asinine process? Why use their staff to impersonate you to tell the attorney general the case is settled after they removed all your info from their site to try to get the complaint to just go away? Why copy/paste their "stated" mission as a way to hide behind the fact that they are money grabbing and forcing their membership numbers up while doing what they can to bury legitimate complaints against them for predatory practices? All of this has happened and very likely continuing to happen -- because why would they stop when there's no one to monitor their predatory practices and safeguard the community. The BBB and AG offices have been useless but at least they clearly stated that they view their role only as a mediator who can't force NACA to do right. But complaints submitted to them can and ought to be made public. Clearly there's an orchestrated effort to hide the dark side of NACA.
