Let me start off by saying I went into this process with extreme skepticism and distrust toward the industry, like most people I assume do. After all, we are talking about "credit repair". My wife and I were looking into buying a home and even the loan officer we were doing work with told me that these people were very trustworthy and on the straight and narrow, which is the only reason I even thought about giving it a shot. After strong pressure from two sales reps, one female and one male, I decided maybe it was time to stop getting in my own way and "fix" my credit. After that they did not get back to me for nearly three weeks. When I did, they made an excuse for why it took so long to get back to me and blamed it on someone who no longer worked for the company, as if that is alright. After asking for the rep I dealt with originally, I found out the sales rep that I worked with still worked for Phoenix and that the excuse was merely a "white lie" to keep me happy. Regardless, "90 to 120 days later" I still have seen no improvement to my credit score, and they still have my money. Many other incidents occurred that I was not particularly happy with, but these were the biggest two I could think of. I mean, your paying someone for something you could do on your own, even if it does "take a consumer much longer than us" as the Phoenix reps would say, you can still do it. If not, I recommend finding a different company, if YOU HAVE TO.
Bottom Line: My opinion is, that money could be spent on the collections you have rather than paying them to "settle for less" on the same very collections and paying them a hefty fee to do it for you.
