I can't in good faith recommend Phoenix Fine Painting, sadly. In July 2023 we closed on a home and wanted to have the interior walls painted before we moved in. On July 6, Joey with Phoenix Fine Painting came out to the home to give a quote. I was impressed with his professionalism and detailed quote that was prepared for me on an iPad. They were the cheapest quote and given the professionalism Joey showed, I figured they would be on top of their game. I explained to Joey the timeline for the job to be complete and that I needed it done by the 12th because I have a house cleaner coming on the 13th. Joey stated that it should be enough time for them to complete the job and I hired them on the same day. On the first day, only two painters showed up to begin prepping the home, which is a tri-level townhome with a little over 1,550 square feet. Long story short, because they only sent two people they didn't prep correctly, rushed the paint, and had to redo several areas causing the job to run behind. They finished a day late, which caused logistics problems for me. They must have watered down the paint too much because several areas are peeling, the ceiling/wall lines aren't clean, and any little brush against the wall causes it to be marked. After about 6-months the house almost needs to be painted again. Some of the old paint is coming through and some of the lines they supposedly fixed are coming undone. I had them come back to fix the ceilings because they painted them with the wrong sheen and also had them fix some brush strokes and after a few days, I noticed a big square on the wall where they fixed the brush strokes, so this wasn't properly blended. One of the painters was often stoned and reeked of weed so I'm not sure if this why my house turned out the way it did. They make you sign a paper at the end of the job saying you're 100% satisfied but after 6-months I'm not really satisfied...and I don't really want them back in my home. read more

An update to my review... used Phoenix Fine Painting again to paint the exterior of our home. This was a mess of errors and while Bonnie in the office was great and seemed sympathetic to what was happening, she would pass along messages and I never received call backs from owner/manager. After several weeks of no responses she had to reach out to the co-owner in California to reach out to me because Joey did not call me at all. To start, it was discovered that they used interior paint on our exterior trim. I called Dunn-Edwards to make sure I understood what needed to happen to rectify the issue so it was fixed correctly because at this point, I had lost faith of them fixing the issue correctly). Fixing the issue was pushed off way too long because "they had other jobs" and they didn't see mine as a rush because I had already paid prior to discovering they used interior paint. At the recommendation of Joey, I agreed to have the front door painted. And this became a horrible issue as well. For whatever reason, the paint blistered multiple times, I believe they came back 4x to try to fix the issue. It was a chore getting them to come each time. I was constantly calling Bonnie and texting the scheduler. They wanted to pin the blame on me for how the door was treated prior. I never did anything to the door, the previous owner may have but I am not a professional painter and relied on them, the "professionals" to know what needed to be done to fix the issue. Our home was on the market and it was embarrassing to say it was just painted but yet having blisters on the front door. Horrible customer service by the manager (Joey) and scheduler (Gerry) once they were done, even though issues were brought up immediately, correcting their mistakes was not a priority to them. Extremely stressful and overwhelming when I had so much other stuff going on getting our home ready to list for sale. I would never recommend them again! Extremely disappointed with service provided and lack of communication. This review is delayed as I have moved out of state and have been busy house hunting and I wanted to make sure I gave what I feel is a detailed honest review of how this all played out. I had my house painted by this company in October 20 24 so it's been nine months since they painted my house. I had about five companies come out and give me estimates and this company was the most professional of the five companies. They quoted me a little bit higher than the lowest quote so I decided they would probably be the best option. The initial painting process was pleasant Aunt and the workers that they had Come out. We're very nice. Once the job was done on one side of my house you could just see huge drippings on the house and the neighbors were pointing it out to me and told me I needed to have them come back out and fix that. Getting them out here was like pulling teeth, but finally they came out and fixed that after telling me, they couldn't fix it. Now my front door is all bubbly and I guess they call it blistering. I have contacted them several times just as simply ask if their warranty covers this because what I've read it looks like it does cover it. They will not call me back, so unfortunately, I had to write this bad review on them. I would not go with this Company if you want to ensure that the job is done right and continues to be right. I understand it's hot here in the desert, but I've never had blistering happen when I've had other paint jobs done. *Regarding the Response from the vendor: 1. This is not true, Sherwin Williams came in and hypothesized the bubbles were caused by pin hole voids in the drywall and that primer was needed to solve. However, the bubbles still came out after priming all the walls - so the wall surface had nothing to do with the bubbles. 2. This is not true, the bubbles formed entirely on the wall surface up to 10+ ft from the floor, how could a floor coating cause this? And as mentioned above - primer did not fix it. 3. This is also not true, the painters tape was applied to the WALL, because it was communicated up front that the tape could not be placed on the floor and it would ruin the finish. Your team used the cheapest beige masking tape, even normal blue tape would have had enough adhesion such that it wouldn't fall off and cause overspray everywhere. As stated, I was entirely fed up with the mess created during this project and wanted your team out - the amount of work I have still left to touch up would have taken additional weeks of your team in my home. I was never contacted by management to have my concerns addressed, or for management to inspect the site prior to completion, despite the severity and prevalence of the issues, so I am not surprised that you have your entire understanding of the issues on this project wrong. I had a truly abysmal experience with Phenix Fine Painting for the interior paint job on my custom home. The first issue is that they spray the interior walls, which perhaps would have been fine, but the masking job done by the crew was horendous - there was (and still is) paint overspray all throughout the house. Overspray on my subzero refrigerator, my $2k coffee machine, the wood cabinets, every single solid wood door, my wood ceiling, saltillo tile I had just spent thousands of dollars refinishing, and more. Although the contract says they are to remove all the outlet covers before painting, they were lazy and taped over several of them - which resulted in paint peeling in multiple locations. There was also something wrong with their spray gun in which thousands upon thousands of small bubbles were generated in the paint surface on every wall, such that they had to go back in with primer, try to spray again, it didn't work, they went in an sanded and spackled the areas with bubbles, and then finally they backrolled to get a finish with no bubbles - but then the back rolling ended up being an ever worse texture in some areas. So now I have 5+ coats of paint on my walls, which makes the paint incredibly thick at the locations in which they masked, so when they pulled the tape off, those areas needed mudding to get them flush with the surface, and more painting! They didn't go through themselves and find all the problem areas, we had to mark everything wrong ourselves - so they didn't take pride in ot did a thorough job really making sure all of the areas were addressed. They attempted to make things right, but after 2 crews in my house an extra 2+ weeks, I just wanted them gone so I could put my house back together. I am still finding locations where they missed fixing the bubbles, or overspray issues, or too thick paint issues. The dust generated from the spray was also a nightmare, we went with this company due to cost, but I see now why all the other companies I got quotes from roll the walls at a higher price. I am genuinely confused about the good ratings here on Google, they touted themselves on being able to handle larger jobs of more expensive houses, being detail oriented, but now all I have is a mess. The name "Phoenix Fine Painting" is a complete misnomer - do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. read more

This review might be taken down soon. So here goes, the experience I had was not a particularly good one. The painters that came to the house had no respect for me, my family or our house. I contracted them to "roll" the entire interior the painter insisted on spraying. They were told that my son was sleeping due to working nights, without any regard they threw down a large roll of plastic. They threw everything in the tub of his bathroom making all sorts of noise. The music was cranked up. I told the painters that they could spray the upstairs just to get them to the first floor. One of the painters urinated in a bottle and left it on my son's desk. They taped off everything and left us nowhere to sleep. Garbage was thrown on the plastic covering the living room furniture. I informed the company and supposedly the painters were fired. They half hearted made an attempt to do something even though the contract was not followed. Now I have paint chipping. They gave me a small refund. Not even covering the labor that was saved by the painters for spraying everything and the paint they saved by spraying as it gets watered down to spray. read more

My experience with Phx Fine Painting has been smooth and professional from beginning to end. I was needing the exterior house painted according to my HOA guidleines. Joey came out and gave a very thorough and fair price quote for all the work that would be done. Scheduling was easy and they showed up when they said they would!! Alberto and his team did a fantastic job prepping the house, making minor stucco repairs, and completing all work according to the contract specs taking special care around the windows and screens. Joey, Brandon and Alberto all reviewed the color scheme I chose to make sure everything would look the way I wanted. My house now looks great, like new!! On my final walk-through I didn't see anything that needed any additional touch-ups. Both Brandon and Alberto reached out during and after the project to make sure I was happy with the work. And one more kudos for Alberto...he made sure all their equipment and trash was picked up and taken away!! We hired Phoenix Fine Painting the day after closing on our new San Tan Valley, AZ home. This was an unexpected expense because we didn't like the builder's low-grade paint quality. Trying to get multiple paint estimate appointments lined up remotely (we still lived in California) was stressful but was made much easier when Joey showed up on time on the only day we had in AZ after the close (we moved in three weeks later). The quote was more than reasonable for the requested work. They made specific and valuable recommendations and accommodated our paint color requests for the different rooms and accent walls. We were told it would take 3-4 days to complete, and that's exactly what it took, with no unexpected charges. The painters, Enrique and Yovanni were professional, and we are very pleased with the quality of their hard work.
