I figured it would be sometime in the future, but she told me that I could bring it right then. It was almost their closing time, and she told me that they would wait for me to get there. I arrived right at closing and dropped off my watch, they were extremely friendly and explained the pricing, which I found reasonable. To my surprise, I received an email two hours later, hours after they closed, explaining that my watch had several aftermarket parts that I was unaware of. When I picked it up, they explained in great detail all the issues they found, which prevented them from working on it. I called the dealer I bought it from, and they gave me a replacement watch, fortunately. I would have never known the issues with my watch and had the opportunity to exchange it, if not for Southeastern Service Center. To top it off, they didn't even charge me. There are still great people, and great businesses, in this world. This is absolutely one of them!!

I noticed he had two chairs inside so as I was getting my money out I asked "excuse me sir do you mind if I sit here?" And he said "You can't sit there that's for customers only" (newsflash if I'm giving you $80 to change batteries I'm a customer) so I grabbed my watches and went to the jewelry kiosk right next to his shop and got the same work done by a young man that was much nicer. The young man there changed the batteries in half the time that Mike said he'd be able to change them so if you're a little short on time, want some better customer service, and want to be treated as a valued customer I recommend just go to the kiosk and speak with them. From my experience they are far more helpful.

This had been overhauled by Rolex (supposedly) only a year ago and they took months and cost over $1,600. Robert did the job in 1 week and cost about half the "official" people ... and in my humble opinion he did a far superior job. Robert also changed out watch batteries in two Swiss pocket watches and a very old gold nugget lady's bracelet wrist watch - I cannot praise his work highly enough.

I handed the watch to the lady working the front showroom and shared what I knew about the watch's provenance; I also mentioned that I had just casually looked online for information about the maker (Wuesteman), the watch itself, etc. Before I could continue (to mention that I was interested in having my watch repaired), the woman, in a very harsh tone, said, "If you are looking for information, you will have to talk to my boss." To say that I was shocked by her abrupt interruption is a gross understatement. I quickly considered how the conversation had progressed up to that point and came to a conclusion. That she assumed I was only looking for information about the watch was, in my opinion, arrogant. After I asked her to return my watch to me, I replied to her - in a similar tone of voice - words to this effect: "You just made a big mistake. I was going to ask if my watch could be repaired. You assumed that I was only looking for information. You ASSUMED that." With that, I walked out the door. Yes, I could have continued with my request after her initial reply. A fully rational person might have been able to do that, but the manner in which she spoke to me soured any desire I might have had to do business with this establishment. I am reminded of the old saying, "You get only one chance to make a first impression." Bearing that in mind, someone with a more personable affect in customer-facing situations would be a great improvement to your business.
