Visiting Abilene, my daughter took me to one of the places she likes. The inside is very clean and appealing. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I'm not a fan of pho, so I was thankful that they had a lot of different options. We had egg rolls, popcorn chicken, the Phoenix special vermicelli salad bowl, Korean Beef ribs rice plate, Kid Pho along with a Milk Tea and Fruit Smoothies. Everything was delicious, fresh and hot as for as the food. The Smoothies were so flavorful and delicious. I loved here vermicelli salad bowl because I'm not a fan of the pho soup. This was perfect. It was full of chicken, pork and shrimp as well as tasty veges with delicious vermicelli. The Korean Bbq rice plate was also delicious. Took my family for lunch, we absolutely loved it! They have options for vegetarians and non beef eaters, which is hard to find in a good Vietnamese restaurant. Well we got there and a very fast wait and we got are food super fast and are appetite dumplings we're pretty good but the noodles were not my favorite. The soup is hearty, complex and full of soul. There are different layers to it. The meat is well cooked and savory. They offer a well portioned plate of sprouts basil and lime. Well, we tried the Phoenix Pho and it was busy, about 745 pm on a Friday night. Game going on at the Stadium down the way. We decided to order To-Go. My wife and I ordered the No. 01-Phoenix Special for me, and my wife ordered the No. 09 Phoenix Shrimp , and an order of Garlic Fries, yummy. We went to the waiting for our no. to be called. The nice girl, Kamila, checked on us as we sat in the waiting area. Next thing we know she's got out order bagged and ready to go, bringing it to us with a smile. She ordered us by saying we should ask for her in the future so we wouldn't have to wait. She even asked if we wanted more hoisen and Sriracha, we asked for extra veggies instead and without hesitation she ran off to the kitchen a grabbed us two more portions. When we got home I found two issues: the garlic fries, the picture says it all, they weren't fully cooked, soggy and little flavor. Very disappointed. The 2nd: the shrimps were peeled, and the tails were pulled off, however nicely cut evenly long ways in half, but they only gave three shrimp total, that felt skimpy. I originally gave 3 *s but after rereading my review I added one because the service we good. The Pho was good however. The regular broth is just right with the jalapeños steeping in it and maybe a touch of sriracha and hoisin sauce. The egg rolls are crispy and delicious! I'm a huge pho lover. The broth had a good flavor but it didn't taste like the homemade broth that I'm used to having back home in Houston where there are a lot of authentic Vietnamese restaurants. It wasn't bad at all though. They are pretty stingy with the meat in the soup and side of add ins. I literally only got one branch of cilantro with 3 leaves on it. Which i laughed to myself when i saw it lol. I'm sure i could of asked for more if i really wanted but decided not to. I'm used to getting a pretty good size plate of bean sprouts, cilantro, basil, jalapeños, and a lime. They gave a tiny plate of bean sprouts that i could of quickly counted, 2 slices of jalapeños (which i don't usually use anyways), a tiny cilantro leaf, and a lemon. I've never had pho with lemon. It's usually lime. So that was an interesting thing as well. I would come back due to there not being many pho options in Abilene. But i wouldn't necessarily crave their broth.
