A tradition that started with 4 or 5 of us and has grown to 8. We have not actually bought a Tree from there in years (They're Overpriced) but our friends always do, they love the tradition of cutting their own tree, their oldest son has taken on the responsibility, something he is very proud of. There is obviously MUCH MUCH more than just trees though, Our kids love the animals, santa, snacks, and shops. We always bring a few adult beverages to chat around the outdoor firepits, spend quality time together roaming the property, petting the animals, indulging their delicious foods and making new memories. Williams is without a doubt the best option in the Rockford Area and I would highly recommend bringing your family and friends.

Seems like the majority is Frazier but we went pine this year for the first time. Loved the different areas spread all over to cut your own. They even have atvs driving around to take your cut tree to the shake station. If you have little kids there's some fun stuff and they have drinks and food. Happy we ventured here. Worth the 1-1/2 hour drive.

It was nice to have this special part of the property set apart from the pavilion and barn area. It made it feel more intimate somehow. The scenic area is peaceful and natural, and just perfect! The pavilion looked beautiful all set for our dinner reception. The beautiful chandeliers and custom head tables were details that really added to the rustic beauty of the whole place. The horse barn with its own bar area was a perfect place for people to gather, and there was a great flow for our buffet. Finally, we loved the outdoor patio, strung with lights, that we used as our dance floor. I would highly recommend Old Coon Creek Inn to anyone looking for an outdoor wedding venue!

The restrooms were nice and never had to wait for a toilet (keep in mind speaking from a man's perspective, not sure about the ladies situation) with a wedding size of ~300 people. The light fixtures are beautiful and it's a great example of how rustic farmhouse is done well. There are plenty of areas to take photos - water features, hallways, anywhere in the pavilion and outside. It's stunning! Service was very quick, maybe a little too quick for my liking but it's fine. You start your dinner with a salad. I thought it was delicious - I was worried that it was going to be soggy since it comes dressed however it was great and not soggy at all. My fiancé and I tried the filet mignon and bacon wrapped chicken for our entrees. Both were very good and prepared well. For sides there were seasonal vegetables. The drinks here are made strong, tip your bartender - they do a great job!
