The employees I feel so little things for the individuals they serve to make sure they are treated with dignity and respect. Joy is the head nurse and she also does a great job. It is about team building and making sure new ideas are brought up to make sure residents are loved and cared for. I am so glad my mother in law care coordinator recommend to check out Gracewood when I was told there might be an open bed. They are very much about team approach.

The staff is like a family who are looking out and always interested but also give mom respect and privacy. She has had a variety of ups and downs and everyone including the house manager, the nurse and the staff all are honest and kind with me to keep me informed and connected even when I can't be with Mom as much as I wish. All the staff seem to really like the residents and visit and chit chat when they can. I am so appreciative that I am never "nickel and dimed" for all the little things like someone helping Mom to get dressed sometimes or doing a quick coat of paint on her nails. The building smells good and is decorated for seasons and holidays. It is relatively small which we all like so that Mom can stay active and have some freedom even though her dementia is significant. Her geriatrician visited and made a house call and was very impressed at how well rooms and overall layout were designed to accommodate the needs of elderly and ability to integrate different levels of cognitive and physical abilities together. We immediately knew New Perspective was a great fit for my Aunt. Coleen, the sales director was very thorough answering all of our questions and helped us through the entire process. My aunt's apartment is so beautiful and spacious, with a full kitchen, dining room, living room, bedroom, walk-in shower, and in-unit laundry room! They have wonderful amenities. Charlotte, and the nursing staff have managed to successfully monitor the care of the residents while keeping them virus free. My aunt is genuinely happy and has commented several times about how caring Bridget, the director, and all the care staff are. She has been able to get the help she needs at New Perspective, and still maintain her independence.

We picked this place because it's beautiful and everyone working there is very nice. They have nice amenities and mom could be social and meet some nice residence. It is a very expensive place but because mom wouldn't have to move as her needs changed we thought it would be best. She lived at Eagle Point for just over 2 years on a month to month lease and my mom passed away on 4/8/2026. They had her money for rent for the month of April and level 2 assisted living. Since they did not provide care for most of April we were expecting a refund for assisted living portion and was told we would be receiving it. But they took rent out of the refund for May until the 8th. Instead of getting over a thousand back we got just over $200. Just want anyone moving there to beware of this. Also thinking she would not have to move even if she ran out of money was not true. Your put on a waiting list and if there is not a studio available you have to leave. At over $5k a month to live there paying her own way over 2 years we had that worry. CNA were very nice but they did go through a lot of new ones in the 2 years. If it weren't for Hospice care coming in addition the Eagle Point staff, mom would not have had the care she needed in her last couple months. CNA's at Eagle Point do not have a good leader and they do not have enough of them. They are over worked and frequently need to rush to another resident feeling like they couldn't provide the care they wanted to give. I know options for this type of living are not good. If we could have found a place for mom to have in house care we would have done that towards her last months.

4 years ago my 71-year-old Mom moved from her home of 50 years to an independent living senior…read morefacility at 1910 Graham Ave. We were overjoyed at the community and amenities the owners Kelley Bothers offered and we thought she had found her next real "home". She was allowed to choose paint colors, the rent was affordable and the whole place had a very friendly home-like feel to it. She was very happy there. Last year the building was sold to Oppidan with Ebenezer as the property management company. It's like a nightmare. They raised her rent $120 a month and went from a yearly lease to month to month with the option to raise the rent any time they like. They are forcing her to move out of her apartment to temporary housing that doesn't even have a telephone so they can "renovate" and put in a lot of changes that she didn't ask for and doesn't want. All the while pretending like they are doing her some kind of favor. They refused to let her keep her wall colors, she has to be without telephone or internet for at least 3 weeks while still paying for the service, she has to pack up all her belongings and to access her car she has to walk to the garage which will be 2 buildings away from her. I warn anyone in the area that has an elderly relative to avoid facilities owned and managed by these people, they are heartless. My Mom was perfectly happy with her living situation the way it was and the only reason they are doing this is for the almighty dollar.

Every week there is a musical program in early afternoon for entertainment and every Friday afternoon includes additional a program that including soft drinks, beer or wine and snacks. There is a small movie theater in building and workout room and craft room all located in that area. We have two parking places in the heated parking in the basement and there is a car washing space available it you want to wash your own car. It sure is nice to not have to clean snow off the cars when heading out of the building in snowy weather. They recently opened the woodworking shop for those desiring some small wood building projects. Just about any hand or power tools needed is in that shop. They recently have added several new staff members for many of the management jobs and we like what the staff members are doing for the residents for their comfortable living conditions. Some problems with the boilers in the basement which cause cool units because They are heated with heated floors but the new maintenance Department has gotten that problem solved.
