Thus far this hospital has been very hospitable. I like how they are very quiet, clean and the service nor is the food bad.

I don't usually leave bad reviews, but this visit felt rushed and incomplete…read more No temperature taken, didn't check throat/ears, no weight taken, and no real exam beyond a swab for flu/covid. I was told it was probably a sinus infection, but everyone around me got sick afterward. I took my children to a different urgent care later in the week, they did a full and thorough exam, which made the lack of care here really stand out.

The good: I was seen at the AFC Phoenixville location twice:…read moreonce in 2020 and once in January 2024. The time in 2020 was wonderful - the people were nice, everything went well, and I got better. I even recommended it to a few friends. Fast forward to this year. My visit in January went well, I was seen and treated, and a prescription was sent over to the pharmacy. While I did end up waiting a bit after my appointment time, it was nothing super major. The bad & ugly: After my visit in January, I received my bill post-insurance. Before I even received the paper bill, I received a text message and phone call requesting payment. The voicemail didn't even tell me who they were, just that they were from the "billing department." Immediately upon receiving the statement in the mail (on Feb. 21), I submitted it to my HSA (Health Savings Account) for payment which can take up to 30 days for the payment to clear. In those 30 days, I received a second physical bill in the mail and an additional text message and 2 phone calls. I called and told them that the payment was in the mail. After yet another physical bill two weeks ago, I called and sent them proof of payment from the HSA (HSA confirmed the check cleared on March 13). Then, another two weeks go by, and I receive yet another bill on Apr. 15, this time labeled "Final Statement Before Further Action." The redemption: At this point, I was clearly frustrated and annoyed. So, I left a negative review here. The next day, I heard from the office manager wanting to call and talk to me by phone. I sent him the proof of payment and told him when he could call. During the phone call, he apologized about the issue I was having and said that he would track down the missing payment. By the end of the day, he had found the deposited check. And, finally, my outstanding balance was resolved. In summary (TL;DR): I thought the staff at the office were nice, personable, and helpful. They definitely helped me out when I was pretty sick and needed to be seen as soon as possible. However, billing leaves much to be desired. My hope is that my experience is a one-time and not a systemic problem. Only time will tell.

It seems like they take pride in taking folks that are court ordered. Most folks there were there to goof off. Co Ed is a serious misstep. High school part: dudes flirting with women& from what I can tell getting sex from them in the bushes. I witnessed briefly a blow job on the public wall about around the facility. If you had $ you could get contraband. Cigarettes I was told were $30-40 a pack. I was also told you could get marijuana & opiates (fentanyl) if you had the most $. Seriously? There was no one in charge most days. Our unit had 35-41 folks in it. Most days there were no 'techs' to watch us. I was self admitted & wanted treatment. This place required (as I was leaving) %50 attendance of groups. That meant that court ordered jerks had to go to 2 hrs a day, 10 hrs a week, to get a completion for court. The rest of the time they could just do whatever. 6am-9pl you could carouse outside, do drugs, have sex acts, get into fights with little supervision. This place was fancy for sure. But man if you want treatment & not be 'driven to drink' by the daily shenanigans then you're sorely out of luck. I personally was intimidated, ripped off (yeh he stole from me) & threatened by my roomie. He was allowed to stay. 'Oh yeh he stole from you, insulted you at 3am & threatened your safety?' Sure he sleeps for 2 hrs a day at groups, let's take his $$$$$!' F this place. I met 1 person in recovery at a recovery hospital. This place is a joke. Recommended if you are court ordered & want to get laid or a bow job in unsupervised environment. I was there to get help. I received very little. Oh yeh you'd be hard pressed to find anyone there that has worked there for more than 9-10 months. A joke.

The nursing staff is extremely warm and welcoming when we come in and is happy to give advice over the phone. We've even found ourselves needing after hours assistance a few times and their nursing staff who monitors the phone has always gone above and beyond to make sure my child is healthy and safe; not to mention very reassuring to stressed parents in stressful situations at all hours of the night. It never feels like an inconvenience when we call. The doctors on staff are equally well trained and knowledgeable. When going through our visits they make a point to speak to my child and get her input directly in how she is feeling and make sure to never push her if she is feeling anxious about certain parts of the visit (I.e. checking ears if not truly necessary). They also keep the parents in mind, making sure we understand the full scope of whatever we're dealing with and preparing us with all the necessary resources to give our child adequate care. I really cannot recommend this practice enough. From primary care to sick visits, we've never had a bad experience.
