This place is awesome. I'm always checking reviews here in Yelp, and this place seemed to have really good ones. My boyfriend dropped his phone a while back and the screen was now completely black. Phone Zone was just a couple miles away from our house so I figured we would go check it out. We went on Saturday afternoon there was one other person before us being helped, Renee came out within a minute to help us. She was awesome! She did a great job explaining what happened and quickly came back with the part we needed, she offered us a "damaged" one at a discounted rate, it only had a little mark in the corner, but after installing she noticed there was more wrong with it so replaced it with the new one. She couldn't give us the discount but she threw in a tempered glass screen protector for free and as we were looking at cases on our way out she told us we could pick one out for free as well. We were in and out in an hour and it cost us about $120 (he has the Samsung Galaxy 3)...they were so helpful, honest, and fast we wills definitely be back and I will definitely be referring this place to anyone! read more

He was patient and gave us useful advice on iphones. Today I was helped by Steven again and had a great experience. He was patient and persistent in helping me with a frozen phone. He tried a couple methods to get my phone to unfreeze all while many customers were coming in and out. He got my phone working again and gave great advice and tips for future phone care and purchases. He didn't charge me for all of his help and his tips were genuine, honest, and were not angled toward getting me to make purchases that I don't need. Do not be fooled by all the good reviews. These people are shady. Their bad reviews are bad. It's clearly simple and inexpensive for them to fix Iphone screens wich r the good reviews. Samsung and other repairs seem to be a problem. I was waiting for my boyfriend to get out of court for a traffic tik so I didn't want to go far w out a working phone and get lost. Online and on their store door states they open at 9. I sat since I had nothing better to do. I saw people come and go checking the time on the store door. 6 customers they lost. 11:15 and finally they r open. I got a shady vibe instantly speaking to man w beard but I didn't want to waste anymore time going somewhere else. He told me the one who actually does the phone repair wouldn't be there for an hour. LMAO. Awesome so I went to pick up the boyfriend and came back. They fixed my phone in half an hour. Hours later half my phone screen to my Samsung was not glued and popped up. U could see inside the phone. When I continued to push it down I then realized the screen was not a flat screen they had put on there cuz it continued to pop up. Had to hold the screen down for it to connect for the front camera. In reading a few reviews of phones working less when screen replaced, and one where a woman actually had parts missing from her phone, I decided not to go back. Being said that I enitialy did not appreciate the desk woman going back and forth to whisper in the back w the guy about my phone status. Y couldn't the man repairing my phone tell me what's up w my phone. My experience was very positive, I was told 1 1/2 hours for the repair and they met that timeframe. In addition they fixed my badly installed glass cover. Jason was exactly on with his estimate and the whole experience was very professional. I would recommend this business to anyone. Those that have listed a problem probably are in the 5% that can not be satisfied no matter what is done. This is a first class operation. Do they ever make mistakes. Customer service is awesome! Very nice people. Which makes this review hard to write. The prices are reasonable, but extremely too high considering the quality of parts and labor. I had my phone screen fixed here. Dropped it, then the entire screen popped out. They told me that the lcd screen was broken- probably because of how they improperly repaired the phone- and that the warranty wouldn't cover it. I took it to another place and they pointed out that internal parts were missing and the very low quality of the parts used. In sum, if you need a quick cheap fix for a short amount of time, this is a decent place. If you are looking for high quality and honesty, absolutely try another place or go straight to the manufacturer- Apple Store will repair iPhone and iPad screens. read more

I called this place by mistake and spoke to Steven. He is a really great guy and will fix your phone right on time. My phone was totally damaged and went to two Apple Stores to get it fixed and they didn't, they wanted me to get a new one for $320. I finally found a repair shop Phone Zone Wireless where they took care of the issue for half the price. I recently took my cell phone to Phone Zone in El Cajon due to something under the screen being broken. Phone powered on but screen went black. I don't recall the gentleman's name but he examined the phone and gave me a fair price for repair right away. He also gave me half off for a part of that same service if I were to have it done at the same time. He had the phone fixed and good as new in 2 hours and for a reasonable price. i went in to pay for my s6 charger port to be fixed on 7/22 and i was dealing with Jason who said he couldn't gaurantee that they would not break my glass screen attempting to fix it, also he said the power was out so he asked if i could come back. he then said he had a wireless charger he could sell me and that i had 3 days to return it. He did not say anything else in regards to returning the product, on 7/25 i called Jason to let him know that i was going to return it because over the weekend the phone just completely broke. He then said there is a restocking fee of 35% i told him that is not what i was told and he immediately started saying whoa... dont yell i can help you but when you start to lie to me i will not - so he basically called me a liar over the phone and told me not to yell. i was not yelling and i stated that on the phone - i told him maybe his phone volume was up and he needed to adjust he then said he will pay out of his pocket for the restocking fee and that i only had today to come pick up the charger. i work downtown san diego and deal with another cell phone repair all the time and i have referred literally 50-75 people to them as i work for a big company and because so, they give me discounts off my repairs. I chose phone zone because i saw the reviews on yelp were pretty good however in my experience i will NEVER refer anyone there. Jason was extremely unprofessional and rude, he treated me like i was someone from the streets. I was looking for a place close to my house to get a screen protector for my iphone and saw that this place had good reviews. Came in and was greeted by Jason and right away he showed me two different types of screen protectors but recommend the tempered glass one for more protection for $20, which I ended up choosing. If you Google "customer service", you will find the pictures of Jason, Steve, and Renee, the employees at the Phone Zone! My phone wanted to take a "quick" dip in the Jacuzzi one evening! Even though it was in for two seconds, the damage was done! The New Apple phones are made with such "tiny" screws it's impossible to take them apart to dry the battery. My niece told me I should plug it in to try charging it. Big mistake. As Jason informed me, that was probably the worst thing I could've done. I fried the motherboard. Jason was so helpful and very informative on the use and protection of my phone from the beginning to the end. They could not fix it there and had to send it out, but in the meantime I was given a loaner. Even though it took a little longer than expected, Jason was very tenacious on fixing my phone. He went above and beyond anyone I have ever dealt with in public service! He has 18 years of experience and that company is VERY fortunate to have him there! I really appreciate what Jason has done for customer service! I also dealt with Steve, who is very knowledgeable and informative.
