The first time we went in here we were very excited because we found out we were pregnant and wanted to get our ultrasound laminated so we can keep it forever!! We were so excited as this was our first baby, and the person was very helpful but failed to mention that it would quit Literally destroy the ultrasound. I am not at all saying it is their fault as they are paid minimum wage, however it's how they handled it when we picked up our order. They kept avoiding any kind of accountabilit, and failed to offer a solution not just for my situation but for others in the future. I am very disgusted with the customer service they provided. But it doesn't stop there, we visited the store after months of being very upset at the store and the Manager looking for a straw wreath, we couldn't find it ourselves and decided to ask an employee. Keep in mind we were the only customers In the store. I describe what I am looking for and showed the lady where I looked (because it should be right there) and she said she would be back after looking for us. We waited about 10 minutes and nothing. We proceeded to head toward the front and the same lady was up there and she looked us dead in the eyes asking us if we found everything we were looking for, she failed to communicate anything to us, and failed to do her job. I totally get being stressed, life gets in the way, but I do however have the very bare minimum expectation of communication. i believe everything is fixable through a conversation (2 or more willing parties working to achieve the same desired outcome), which clearly did not happen. If you have the option do not shop here!!

A perfect date spot!…read more My husband and I visited The Pottery Stop for the first time today and had a great time! We texted beforehand to see if they had availability for potter painting today and made a reservation. When we arrived, we were quickly greeted, and a staff member explained the process. We got to pick out a piece to paint and there were a great variety of options! Pieces in different shapes and sizes from animals to more traditional dish ware and even fun holiday options. Each piece has a price listed on it as well which was nice to know before selecting an option. We picked matching cats to paint. We had a table reserved with our name on it and got some more directions once seated about tips on painting. The staff again was super friendly and helpful! After we got the intro, we painted away. There were a variety of tools, colors and staff helped us with any questions. Once we were done, we brought our pieces to the front and paid. You get your pieces back 1 week after your visit, and we can't wait to see how ours turned out!

We weren't quite sure what we were looking for and the woman working was so kind and welcoming to the store. I placed an order for purple tile and was sent a pale green tile. I sent a polite inquiry that it seemed I had been sent the wrong product. They asked me to send a photo of what I received, so I did. At this point, Kathy told me I "must be color blind", they don't even sell a light green tile like in the photo I sent (although she went on to describe said tile so she was obviously familiar with the light green tile). Kathy was very rude and I asked if they didn't sell me this green tile, then who put it in the box and shipped it to me? Either way it wasn't the purple tile I had ordered. I gave them 3 options for resolving the issue. Replace with correct product, refund, or replace with another purple tile similar to what I had ordered. Kathy responded that since I did not want to resolve this issue (!?) she was just going to refund my money. Below is the purple tile on their website that I ordered, and the pale green tile I received. So no, I'm not color blind.

Though I still feel pretty insanely novice on the wheel, I've pumped out some pieces that I'm pretty proud of... and many pieces that... could use some work lol. Linda is the owner and head teacher at the studio and she is quite literally the best. She is SUPER friendly, always willing to help, and honestly has become someone who I consider a friend. Something Earthy is not just a studio that offers weekly classes though, there is a pottery shop that is filled with her work, students work, and other local artisan's crafts. As if that isn't a enough, Linda also makes homemade jams and jellys and freeze dried candy that she sells in the store portion. There are also small classes for younger children where they can choose a pre-molded ceramic and paint it. Linda even grows produce and sells it during the season. But yeah, it has become one of my favorite little retreats. This is the epitomy of a hidden gem and I could go on blushing about how amazing this place is for pages, but rather than TLDR-ing you, I'll just say that if you're in the area - or even if you're not - you should stop by shop and inquire about classes.
