I have shopped in various fabric/craft stores and always have a problem finding a variety of fabrics at reasonable prices. Well, those days are over. A fabric place is the best place to get a huge selection of fabric and sewing materials. It is not a arts and crafts store which allows it to focus strictly on fabrics. The store is well organized, has everything on display, and is in a very nice location. The owners are very friendly and will work with you to help you find the materials that you need at the budget you can afford.

I couldn't find the very basic fabric I was looking for, and in addition, a staff member was very condescending, which was very uncalled for. It's hard because there really is not a great selection of fabric stores in this area, but I will go back to purchasing most of my fabric online. I like to take my business where I am treated with respect.

They have a fantastic fabric selection, including all the designer fabrics I love. There's a huge variety of batiks, solids, high-quality threads, and quilting supplies. The classroom is spacious, and they offer great classes. I especially love their long-arm rental program. After taking the certification class, I was able to rent the machine for the day--I've finished up to three quilts in a single session! They even have a break room where you can bring your lunch, which makes for a comfortable and productive day. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful--they really make you feel right at home. This is my go-to quilting place now!

Every time I have shopped in the past, I've been told that nothing in the remnant box is over $4.99 a yard. But, the woman insisted that it was still $8.99 a yard and she didn't know how that piece got in the remnant box. OK... Shady AF...No sale! Had she done the right thing, she would've made a very large sale because I needed fabric for multiple projects. Instead, I went to the Fabric Basement in Alexandria and was treated very fairly and got some quality fabrics.
