Beautiful photos, poor customer service attitude, make sure fully understand and know the full cost of photos and session, before starting.

At 19 cents per photo (for 4x6 pictures), Wal-Mart offers one of the best rates in town. I have shopped around and have had pictures developed at Blacks and Superstore but always prefer the value and quality I receive at Wal-Mart. Pictures can be ordered online at http://www.walmartphotocentre.ca/ and are usually ready in a couple hours for pick up. Upon ordering the photos, you have the option of glossy or matte (for which I always prefer matte) and whether or not you'd like your photos to include a border or not. The only problem I sometimes incur is upon pickup. Since the Kodak kiosks were added inside the photo-lab (allowing people to instantly develop their own photos), the staff are often busy assisting the customers at the kiosks and more often than not, there may be a bit of a wait before you receive your photos.

The dreaded thousand trips to the dressing room, the suits that are made for barbies and not people. The gaudy looking ones, that make you go, oh, I wish I was a designer! Oh yes and then there are the ones that make you question, what exactly am I suppose to do with this, sit, that is it, do not move to the left , in fact, this you should just carry as the extra for show. Ok, enough ranting, can you tell this is a sore spot. But the real reason for going to Wal-mart is for the cheap ones, I do not care that the chlorine or salt water will eat away though the summer and destroy. This is all good. It is part of summer fun. Surprisingly enough they carried OP, which is a good label and price was about $20.00. So that means you can buy a few suits, oh the logic! Normally I go to the stores that have the $70.00 suits, however, I have found these do not stand up any better than the other ones. And my rational is , get a new one each year or get a few.

It was of one photo and it was, as I now know, quintessential Liam. It was dramatic, edgy and stunningly beautiful. There was no call to action except the distinct Applehead Studio logo. Eventually, I remembered to Google him and well, it was love at first sight. Since then, Liam has done a boudoir shoot for me, a "corporate" table sessions shoot for my business partners and I, and he's shooting my wedding this November. I'll be looking for an excuse to hire him again after that, I can assure you. The stunning beauty he captures, in his wedding and boudoir photography especially, will make any woman's head spin. Who doesn't want to look that amazing?? Anyone who appreciates authenticity and self expression - read, anyone who likes to keep it real - will love Liam's ability to capture your you-ness. Any lover of Surrealism will be easily wooed by the drama and interest he finds in every day objects and settings; the way he turns them into something so.much.more. And you know what else? Anyone with an aversion to frilly, fluffy stuff and fake niceties will also love Liam. He wears jeans, drinks beer, curses, laughs a lot, and isn't afraid to tell you about how kick ass awesome his wife and daughters are. How can you not appreciate that? Perhaps the best part? As his subject, you'll quickly realize that he absolutely loves his job and loves making you look good. This guy's the real deal, promise.

But what I love the most about Liam's work is that it's not the typical photojournalistic style that everyone else is doing. Yes, some of his images have that quality, but generally, his work is more art-like. Not dissimilar to a painting that has depth and layers, hidden nuances and stories, Liam's pictures are much the same. He looks for clues about his subject's personalities and then creates a portrait that brings those characteristics or stories to life. You could look at the same photo a dozen times and see something different every time you look at it. And while he sees the image in his mind's eye, it's the way he interacts with his subjects that ultimately brings the picture to life. On my 30th birthday, I did a boudoir photo shoot with Liam. I was nervous and uncertain, but the minute we started shooting, Liam made the experience fun and laid back. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. I've since sent two friends to him for their own boudoir shoots. My business partners and I also had him do one of his signature Table Sessions as our corporate shot...we get more compliments on that photo than I could have ever expected. Bottom line: If you are going to do a boudoir photo shoot, go see Liam. You won't regret it. And if you're a bride looking for your wedding photographer, get him booked as fast as you can. This guy does killer work...you would be lucky to have him capture one of the most significant events of your life. Oh, yes, and he's a heck of a lot of fun, so you'll enjoy having him celebrate your big day with you, too.
