Raul is a licensed electrician who came highly recommended. He was always on time, communicated well, and provided a reasonable estimate for our electrical problems. Raul moved eight circuits from our old sub panel to our newer main panel and added a new grounding system. One circuit was intermittently not working but he was able to find and fix the problem in one of the junction boxes. He also added a new circuit with a new outlet receptacle for our microwave. Furthermore, he went through the attic and made sure that our electrical system is in order and put covers over all exposed junction boxes. Finally, he went out of his way to replace an inadequate outlet, which was recently installed by another contractor, with a GFCI outlet for our new tankless water heater. Had the great pleasure of meeting Jose. I'd first like to point out that he is punctual! I had a busy schedule, so I truly appreciated that. Anyhow, my sump pump at home was tripping an outlet every time I plugged it in. He checked into everything, and found that it was a very simple issue in that there were two plugs from the pump that needed to be plugged in together to prevent it from tripping. They got separated after some work was done in that area. Ugh, duh! He also did quick tests on each of the outlets I thought I had issues with. All was ok but just told me to keep an eye on the outlet over the coming days where the sump pump is plugged in to make sure. He didn't charge to come out, as he can come out and give free estimates. Nice! I will definitely be calling him again for a couple of things I will soon need to get replaced, and any other of my electrical needs in the future. Excellent experience. Raul contacted me, not the other way around, two days ago after posting something on yelp and agreed to meet him at my home for a price estimate that night. I didn't make any other appointments nor did I take any calls. I expressed how important this install was for me and even went out that same night to buy the unit. Needless to say, I didn't even bother to negotiate the price and when he said the price, I just said yes its fine, but again reminded him how vital this instal was and we agreed on a date and time. I contacted him early in the day as in to suggest that he could come earlier, but then he changed the time, and then changed the time once more. All of a sudden "his truck" wasn't working. I asked him in what area he lived so I could offer a ride or maybe even get him a lyft/uber , which he should have done to begin with, given how important I expressed this install was. I did not hear back from him after that and so gave him the courtesy of letting him know that I was very unsatisfied with how he went about this "last minute emergency" and that I would be expressing my experience on yelp. I did tell him that I too am a business owner so I understand that life happens, but I just feel that he could have gone about it a completely different way. To make matters worse, in a condescending way at the end he said "I had appointments before you, you are not the only client I have!" and he felt that he needed to also tell me that " he has great reputation with his clients". Raul, your skill set may be well recognized ( I will never know), but your customers service needs work, especially if you have to tell someone the last few sentences you felt I had to hear. read more
