Internet said sugar does not have a pH value and would not prevent car from starting. There would also be a kettle corn smell when running. I did not believe that since I had a locking gas gap so I checked the gas tank myself and it had water in it from the damaged gas can I used when it ran out of gas. The gas can had mostly water in it instead of gas. Easy fix compared to their $1600 they wanted to fix it. Water does have a pH value.

If it doesn't need replacing they won't replace it. These days it's easy to look out what prices on what parts cost and Hatfield doesn't overcharge you like you expect at the dealer. On the repair I paid what I was quoted. No extra, oh we forgot to tell you that kind of stuff. They work on your car like you would if you knew what you were doing. Over the years I've gone to Pep Boys, Toyota and Chevy dealerships and other repair shops and I would trust Hatfield to work on both of my cars if they break down. The rest of the car works fine so there was no need to get a new/used car. Since the engine has been replaced it runs like new, gets 31.6 miles to the gallon and is back on the road 7 days a week. I also got a warranty on the engine 1 year or 12,000 miles both parts and labor included in the price. Was also provided a receipt that included that engine had been replaced with the mileage, and the mileage that the car had on it when it was replaced if and when I sell the car.

If they replaced the trans cooler they would have to replace the whole radiator but there is no line for radiator or coolant on this invoice. Basically they are adding stuff to invoices just to turn a profit. Lying about what work they actual are doing. Its nice to know that corporate mechanics are still out there stealing from honest working Americans. Already canceled payment with my credit card, sent photos showing that the radiator was not replaced and the cooler lines were never touched. They will get what's coming to them, will never recommend a place like this again.

Instead, I was stuck there for an outrageous hour and 17 minutes for something that should have taken 20 minutes max. And that's being generous. I've changed these bulbs myself before. It's a 5-7 minute job with two bolts to remove. The inspection itself? 10-15 minutes, tops. Then came the real slap in the face: $76!! $12 for the inspection. $64 for labor. - TO INSTALL BULBS I PROVIDED. At no point did anyone bother to tell me how long this would take, or what it would cost. And when I rightfully called them out on it, the employee had the nerve to be dismissive and condescending. Instead of addressing my concerns, he sarcastically asked, "Well, why didn't you do it yourself?" To which I replied, "Because I can't do an inspection myself, and I thought it would be easier to do them at the same time." For comparison, I called another local shop after the fact. They quoted me $10-$15 for the same job, plus the $12 inspection. And guess what? They would have had it done in a fraction of the time. Let me be crystal clear: AutoHaus ripped me off! I then found out that they are an Authorized Mishimoto Dealer and decided that I was just going to replace anything and everything related to my cooling system.
