The space itself isn't large but it is simple, clean and uncluttered. The owners of this school are musicians who are passionate about composers, music and performance and they have had a very positive influence on my daughter. My daughter takes lessons with Joanna and she has grown to love playing piano and because of her, has grown more confident. The manager, Tania is extremely professional and always helpful and kind. The recital is a very fun and festive time and the children rise to the occasion. Note: Probably not a school if you want to be coddled. I can only speak for my experience how Joanna interacted with me as a part time employee,and as a human being,and it wasn't good at all. I was treated unfairly and lied to,as far as me being hired to help promote her and her husband's business,then no legitimate excuses to get rid of my promotional skills and services to the school.. I was nothing but courteous,respectful,and friendly with all the people I came in contact with.On 2 occasions I was hired,then abruptly let go for no good reason,causing me financial hardship,as if I was a piece of garbage you can throw on the street with no sense of respect and decorum.As for the quality and skills of Joanna as a music educator,I can't say good or bad,but I wanted you all to know my personal interaction with her though short lived,it was terrible!! My twins just finished doing their first "semester" with Jen (teacher/singer) where upon payment, you receive the latest CD with all the songs that are sung at every class. Classes lasts a full 45 minutes and are filled with kids dancing and "playing" their own instruments (rattles, tambourines, drums, rhythm sticks, etc). Jen is fantastic with kids, ultra patient, and magically knows how to get the entire class to connect with her singing/guitar playing. I've seen other teachers that play guitar and freak out when a kid approaches them but she simply gives a huge warm smile and continues on with the show! She's got the Midas touch with my kids. They love Jen's weekly concerts and love hanging out with all the neighborhood kids. We'll def be attending the next "semester"!
