Physical Graffiti is my favorite go to shop for piercings. The shop's environment is inviting, organized, sanitary, and definitely a place that'll have you looking around in joy. Speaking as a person who loves the art of tattoos and piercings, Physical Graffiti's dynamic always ignites excitement and comfort. Even before regulations were instated for businesses due to Covid-19, this shop has ALWAYS been safe and sanitary for their customers. If you're looking for variety and quality in terms of body jewelry, this is the right place for you. You would not believe the major difference in options other shops lack compared to Physical Graffiti. I'm only 19, but I can fully state that this shop beats all others in customer satisfaction, quality, cleanliness, organization, appearance, and smiles! Carrie, the piercer at Physical Graffiti, always makes my experience something to remember. Every time I get a new piercing or two, Carrie gives me the best experience. She is a professional with a friendliness that makes you feel seen. I've been to this shop a good amount of times and my anxiousness still gets to me. As always, Carrie reassures me every time and answers my questions with patience and understanding. Having a conversation with Carrie is full of laughs and smiles. The only negative part of my experience I could add is having to leave. My experiences here are so satisfying, I always want to stay and learn more. Maybe I just love the art of body piercing, but I would come back here every month to get a new piercing if I could. Been all over NY had prior ink done by artists & was never happy with the results. I walked out of several tattoo shops prior as they just weren't working for me. This shop is exceptional. JR is a perfectionist!!! He is THE BEST ARTIST IN THE WORLD!!!! If JR isn't a world known artist yet he should be ..somebody should take notice of this guy's talents! After being to 12 artists (trust me & some of them were famous & still weren't half as great) this guy blows me away!!! My ink was completed on point .. exactly like my expectation & beyond!! Other artists who I had consulted with prior on the huge tattoo on my back said it would take 9 hrs to be banged out. JR completed in 2 hrs and in 1 sitting. This is the least expensive place I have seen all over the tristate area. To say am impressed is an understatement I was completely blown away by the results!!! Scheduled for a 4th tattoo with him (need I say more)? Wouldn't even consider having anybody else ever again & recommending him to all including my friends & family!!! I absolutely LOVE it here!!! I've been to other tattoo spots before, but once a friend of mine introduced me to physical I knew I wasn't going anywhere else!!! I feel like im cheating if i do!!! Very professional and very clean. Reasonable pricing too!!! They give you the best advice to suit your life when making decisions with piercings or tattoos instead of you making rash decisions...In other words they look out for you which is, I think, amazing!!! Staff is super friendly!!! I had an issue with one of my piercings I had gotten done there recently(one of the balls from my earring had fallen off and i was unable to put it back on myself)and I went back yesterday and Carrie was nothing but super friendly and helped me resolve my issue with no problems whatsoever! A few years ago I had gone to a convention and gotten my wrist signed by "the walking dead's) Norman Reedus, the very next day I was here by opening ( to get it tattooed) and Joey was very helpful and was able to take me in right away. Physical Graffiti is my go-to place for piercings! Carrie is the best around --she's very experienced and it shows in her work. She's so pleasant to work with and is incredibly helpful! I got my rook pierced here recently and not only did it come out beautiful, but she was able to identify and alert me to the fact that a conch piercing I (regretfully) had pierced at a different studio near my college was on the verge of being absorbed by my ear because the bar was so short! She changed the jewelry to something appropriate and it looks great and feels 100x better than before. Everything she uses is sterile and top grade, and she always has hair ties and bobby pins on hand. I've also had my nose, a mid-cartilage, and 2 helix piercings done by Carrie and they've all healed wonderfully. She always sends you off with a goodie bag of sea salt and cleansing soap for healing, along with a care card and encouraged me to come back to the studio or contact her personally if I had any questions. I got a rook piercing done by Carrie last Sunday. I decided on this shop after seeing lots of good reviews online. When I walked in two of the tattoo artist immediately asked me what I was there for and then gave me an ipad to fill out my information while Carrie was finishing with another client. When Carrie was ready for me she explained which earrings I was able to get and the pro's and con's of them. It was clear to me then that she knows what she is talking about. After this she brought me and my mom to the back room where she does the piercing. She saw that I was nervous and quickly made my nerves disappear. She then explained everything she was going to do while cleaning my ear. When piercing my ear she did it quickly so it did not hurt too bad. Finally, she explained everything to expect with the piercing and how to clean it to insure that it heals properly. I will definitely be back to see Carrie for any future piercing needs! read more

Great, clean shop. Completely professional and kind artist, Carlos, gave me a tattoo I am proud to have on my body forever. Loved that he was easy to consult with and talk to. Not only did he ensure the utmost in cleanliness and safety standards as far as the equipment and tools he used, I loved that his room was full of his personal expression and he was open about his life perspective. Although I am not a Christian, it was so cool he was open about it and didn't push his ideas. I love that an artist is able to so openly express himself and that it was a cool environment to do that in. My daughters and I got our first tattoo at Physical Graffiti last Sunday. Paul was kind enough to work us in as we were walk-ins. Paul and Junior did my daughter's tattoo and did an amazing job. Mike was the artist who did my first tattoo. I explained how important it was as we were all there to bond after losing my wife a year and a half ago. He listened to what I wanted and had the artistic creativity to do an amazing piece of art. His commitment to detail and the overall piece was overwhelming and words cannot do it justice. Mike has a gift and is cool enough to listen to his customers to produce works of art. The shop is clean, has 4 private rooms and is a well run business. I never write reviews, never. But this time I just have to. Carrie went above and beyond helping me to come up with a solution to fix a really bad piercing job done at another tattoo shop. My second and third lobe piercings were so uneven and ill placed, it was driving me nuts! She immediately identified the problem and explained to me exactly what she could do to fix it. I have taken the earrings out and once they heal I will be returning to Carrie to re-pierce. If you want your piercings done right the first time please save yourself time, money, and pain and just go to Carrie! I wish I had found her earlier. I haven't been here in a few years (since my last piercing), but I have gotten four piercings done by Carrie up until this date and I loved them all and didn't have any issues. She was so nice every time I came in. Very professional and thorough with the info you need to fill out. Treated me with a lot of respect and kindness even when I was in my teens and getting pierced by her. She verbally talked me through each piercing as it was happening and did it so I experienced the most minimal pain possible. I've been coming to Physical Graffiti in Linden for years, Carrie is the best body piercer you can find. I have numerous piercings by her and a very pleasant experience for myself as I hate needles. Almost forgot to mention the vast assortment of body jewelry which is top notch. Never had any issues with my piercings. She always sent me home with a care package with every piercing. Excellent experience with Carrie. Kept me calm even though I was pretty anxious. Answered all of my questions around post-care. It seems like the shops in the area that have bad pierced reviews have tattoo artists doing piercing and that was the biggest research advice on all the piercing websites: RESEARCH YOUR PIERCING ARTIST. We even talked about black skin and piercing, which showed how much she's been in this game for over 20+ years. Also, the shop is following all Covid protocol guidelines. It's spotless in that joint and everything was sanitized prior to me getting there which was dope. This review is a few months late. I went here for my first tattoo, so I had no idea what to expect. A soon as I went in everyone was very nice. To add on to that they had a great Covid procedures. They checked my temperature at the door and made me sanitize my hands. I had an idea of what I wanted to be done before going in. My artist Vincent who was a really big help and very nice made it better then I thought it was going to be. He also played some John Mayer which was cool. Overall he did a great job. I was really happy with how it came out. The only down fall to it was the price. It was more than I thought it was going to be. For being my first tattoo I was fine with it. I have had so many wonderful experiences here, whether ive been coming in for my pircings or just stopping by to get new jewlery, the customer service has been great. Carrie is very kind and great at what she does. She makes the process super easy and clearly explains the after care for your piercings as well as gives you a bag with all the things you need to take care of your new piercing. Ive gotten my nostril, belly, tragus, lobes ad tongue done here and have had absolutley no issue with them and love them so much! I went in earlier today for a piercing with a friend. We did not have an appointment but that wasn't a problem. Carrie pierced me and my friend. She was amazing; very nice, friendly and sterile! She help me decided the right placement for the piercing to match my other. Really good at keeping the conversation going as a distraction, explained everything I need to do after to heal properly and keep it clean. She also gave out these little goodie bags that I thought were perfect. Inside was aftercare instructions along with materials and a measuring spoon for the salt.
