I was with my son when someone overheard my conversation, and referred me to a local healer. I arrived in physical discomfort, as well as with low energy and not a good mindset. Ashira's office was attractive, warm and comfortable. We talked for a short time and then I'm not sure how to describe what happened next--we did some breathing, body work and she guided me along the way--but, when we were done, I felt like something was different. I was more like myself and at home in my mind and body then I've ever experienced in my life. I went with physical symptoms related to a medical condition i have, but what I ended up receiving was much more. Freedom from the symptoms of a chronic medical condition from which I've had discomfort for years and a sense of peace that I'm still experiencing more than a month later. I even extended our trip an extra day so that we could work more with her. Ashira taught my son some special movements and meditation, and since he began practicing, his school grades and behavior have had noticeable improvement! He's also calmer and more loving since that trip. I plan to make another trip for us to go back to Mind Body Fusion and work with Ashira. We are also making arrangements to go on her retreat. For example she gave me some novel tips on working out the knots myself and even recommended some great affordable yoga places when I mentioned my interest in that. She also told me about their therapist that specializes in really deep massage too. The massage itself was great too with good deep pressure and she hit some spots that most massage therapists in the past haven't gotten as well. I bought a five pack of massages (never expires and can share with your girlfriend/spouse and you save $10 per 60 minute massage over the normal $90) given the great experience. Had a massage from Cheryl (owner) a few months back too; very good massage but lighter pressure than Shannon was able to do and not quite as much awesome info but would still recommend her.

The (kinda rundown) building has a janky call box to let you in and you can't hear I'd and when someone answers to buzz you in. Another person came in with me and told me how creepy the building was - the floor she got off on was barely half lit. I get to the floor of the place and it was stinky and dimly lit too. I find the door - it's locked - and I knock. No one is there. It's late morning not first thing in the day. So I call the place and a guy answers but sounds like I bothered him - tells me that he's working remotely and will call my therapist. Then calls me to tell me she's in her way. She arrives just after when my appointment was to start. So now I'm a bit worked up but also weirdly nervous because the whole thing was so off putting. Therapist was curt and arrived with a child. I nearly changed my mind and left but decided to stay went with it. Since no one was there nothing was prepared. Cold table - warmer not on. No music, no ambiance. No offer of a drink before. Just a lot of turning on computers and lights. I don't want to be there for that when I'm there for pure relaxation. The massage itself was decidedly fine. They don't have a weird loop on the music that jolts me from my relaxation nor do they play nothing but white noise, it's a perfect relaxation blend though I can't say I remember any one song standing out, which in my mind is how it should be. They also have beautiful water features, perfect lighting and comfortable tables. The customer service was awesome, from the communications and directions to the place to the AHMAZING massage. Helen is incredible for deep tissue, especially hip work. She goes deep, she's effective, and she is not afraid to work through tension. This is not a light, spa-style massage. It's therapeutic, intentional, and results-driven. Exactly what I want. Heajin specializes in Thai and lymphatic massage, and she is phenomenal. Thai massage is more like assisted stretching, and she incorporates it beautifully. She also took time to explain lymphatic flow, gave me tips on how to support it at home, and clearly cares about long-term wellbeing, not just the session itself. One thing to note: at Unwind, therapists may get on the table with you, especially for Thai or deep tissue work. That's part of the technique and something to be aware of if you're new to that style, but for me it speaks to how seriously they take proper body mechanics and effectiveness. The space is calm, professional, and welcoming, and the level of skill here is outstanding.
