Recently I fell down 3 stairs, flat of my face on a cement floor in a public building. I had much pain in the side of my foot and up my leg. But, I chose not to go to the hospital. The next day, the pain was worse. My son called Physicians Immediate Care in Alsip. I felt like I needed x-rays. Physicians Immediate care took me right in, and in about 1 hour 30 minutes, they took about 5 x-rays, which showed exactly what was wrong. They were kind and courteous. Totally unprofessional. I went to the Alsip Illinois location on Cicero Avenue at the end of February. Since then, I never got a bill. I called my insurance and because I haven't met my deductible, I would be paying the full amount. OK fine.....but they never sent a bill and calling is a joke. They never answer. Then, about 3 weeks ago, I stopped in at that same location in Alsip on a Saturday afternoon to pay in person. They were open, but when I walked in, there was nobody there. I stood there waiting. Nobody at the desk or anywhere. How incompetent is that? This is the most unprofessional urgent care I've ever had to deal with. I visited this location after my son hurt himself in a football game at school. He needed an X-ray and a physical exam before returning to school and his PCP wasn't able to squeeze him in last minute. The staff was absolutely amazing! From the front desk receptionist to the NP and nurse who did his exam, to the gentleman who performed his X-ray!! They were so friendly and my son felt so comfortable. Wait times are insane, even when you schedule an appointment. No one keeps you updated on your status to be seen. I had an appointment scheduled for 10:20a and still hadn't been seen by the time it was noon. Maybe at a different location you would have a better experience, but not here. read more

I wish I could give them 0 stars especially the receptionist that was on duty 01/03/2024 at 10:58am......I have visited multiple times and never have being asked for a co-pay they always billed me for it. It's not even my turn and she was asking for the $169 what kind of business are you running it here. I've been to several of the Physicians Immediate Care locations in Chicago when I lived there, and I've always had a good experience there. I like that they have an in house pharmacy, which is extremely convenient, and now that my job's health insurance is subpar -- I'll gladly pay them $15 for the medicine rather being quoted obnoxious prices at Walgreen's. This location is currently closest to me, and I decided to check it out after not having the best experience at Oak Lawn Immediate Care. I came here about a week ago with flu/COVID like symptoms -- they gave me a test for both flu and COVID and thankfully both came back negative. The doctor then diagnosed me with allergy rhinitis, which I believe is spot on because I've always been allergic to pollen and have left it untreated. I didn't think anything of it, until mucus started coming out of my nose and mouth. Today, I came back to see their PA about an unexplained rash on my right pointer finger/thumb area. They gave me a shot in my butt, and the spot on my finger definitely feels a lot better already. It's less inflamed, less itchy, and less swollen. I was also prescribed a topical cream to help with this. The PA also made sure that it was travel friendly as I'm going to Mexico on Tuesday and can't afford to feel miserable. I also love the convenience of being able to add myself to the line on their website and request an appointment. My only issue is that every time I come in, I have to fill out information about my insurance etc. Everything stays the same unless I say so, and especially since I was just here. I understand why they did what they did, and it's not a deal breaker for me. I'd recommend this and any of their other locations to anyone in the area looking for an urgent care. read more

I took my son in for a rapid PCR Covid test. As part of their process, they performed a basic examination. I was happy with their system, precautions, and the care he received from the PA. I would gave given 5-stars, but I think it is confusing to call it PHYSICIAN'S Immediate Care if it is staffed my mid-level practitioners. read more

These people are very unprofessional they don't know how to talk to to people even when they are TOTALLY WRONG they are slowly moving to complete their job but try to make a example out of the customers that complain. I've been here since 10:30am I was told that there was a 2 hour wait and then taken to the back area to get my eyes height & weight checked to sit in a extremely cold room without being seen to be told there is only one staff member working when that's a total lie. This is the second time I've been here to be treated with total disrespect by the front desk staff and the doctors with the attitude & dreds. I give them one star for a clean environment and the 2 nice nurses that took my vitals & eye exam. Do not go here! Let's start by saying i just needed a Covid test for medical clearance on my little boy. As any parent knows, I had a diaper bag, a toy bag, and breakfast all juggling in my hands while holding a baby. The receptionist asked for my babies id and got annoyed when I corrected her. I gave her my id and she didn't take it right away so I put it on the counter in front of her. She refused to take the id and made sure I handed it to her. When I complained about how rude she was to staff. The nurse practitioner defended her saying well it gets tiring standing up. Oh, and the staff made me wait 45 minutes after my baby was given a Covid test. Just to be told to check my phone for a link. This is my second visit, due to a lack of quick-options available. While I am grateful to be seen on short notice, the facilities are sketchy and the waiting time quotes are unreasonably wrong. On my first visit I was quoted a 20 min wait time, and was billed immediately. 2 and a half hours later I couldn't really leave (having paid already), and they finally called me back. Today I came in because I'm sick and I need to know if it's contagious (influenza). They told me "no wait" on the phone, but 45 min after I arrived I got called back to a room. They took a swab and told me it'll take 10 minutes to get results. That was 60 minutes ago...and now I'm angry-Yelping to cope. I understand healthcare facilities having long waits, and being challenged by estimating time with so many curveballs coming in...but to be off by such a margin...every.single.time. I've had the worst experience with this office, also be aware they price gouge a bit. For those with and HSA plan, it's best to not use your insurance as you could end up paying hundreds of dollars more than you should. Via their website, self pay level one pricing is $155 however they billed my insurance $281 and the customer service is horrible. The facility is nice and clean and I didn't wait long at all but nobody was overly friendly by any means. The Dr barely looked at me, diagnosed me with Upper respiratory infection and prescribed me an antibiotic which I later discovered was the antibiotic I had just told the nurse I was allergic to. Overall next time I will go to my dr who will take the time to actually find out what's wrong with me and prescribe the right medicine. (I had strep throat) read more

We've been here several times and each time the wait was relatively short. Our providers were thorough and any antibiotics needed were sent to the pharmacy right away. My son has had lung xrays, an EKG and finger reset here they also diagnosed him with bronchitis and even did a note for his school to say it's ok to return to school. read more

I would not recommend going here during COVID or using their online checkin. I did an online checkin so I'd be ready for an appointment at 4:15. It is now 5:15 and still waiting even though the parking lot has 1 other car in it. I called to get a time estimate, they didn't give me a time estimate but said "you'll be seen shortly, there are a few other people in front of you."
