I don't like being told one thing only to find out something else entirely. I was trying to find a primary care physician after a medical emergency this weekend. After calling nearly a dozen providers, I was told by Pamela that I could get a walk-in appointment to see a primary care physician. What I think she meant to say was that I could receive primary care at their walk-in clinic, but I having explained a number of times that I was looking to start a primary care relationship I don't understand how that could be confusing. When I arrived at the location, I was told that this was not the case, and that I would not in fact be able to establish care with the primary care physician today. The earliest I would be able to do so would be Wednesday. As I expressed my frustration with the miscommunication, I was sure to explain to the receptionist in her colleague that I was in no way placing blame upon them. Yet, as I spoke, it was hard not to see the disrespectful head shake. The receptionist kept giving me. It was not appreciated, and I let them know that I was not interested in their services. The first time I went to this office, i was happy with the service and communication but unfortunately Amber left the practice. In my opinion their commecials are false advertising. In the commercials they don't tell you that you will not see a doctor but a nurse. At least in my experience. The few times that I went there, the service was so bad that I quit there. On my last check up, they did the normal blood tests and I never heard back from anyone with the results. I called numerous times and left voice mails and sent emails to Nurse Rudder and never heard back from him. I stopped by a few times to speak with him and could not and the front desk lady told me she would give him the message and he would call me and never happened. Also when i called Nurse Rudder Dr. Rudder (did not know he was not a doctor), He never corrected me till i found out from his email address. Not cool. read more

Stay far away from Michiel Brent Rudder NP at primary care Jackson location. There is not enough space to talk about how incompetent he is and the lack of knowledge to render care to patients. He doesn't follow through with his word. He will tell you to drink a lot of water and stay away from ibuprofen and not inform you why, only to find out a year later he shows you a lab result and tells you I want to order a test 3 months later no test scheduled. See a specialist because after 2 years of complaining about pain and many times begging for help he orders a different test and come to find out his disregard has done severe damage to more than the two areas. It's now 3 specialists will require several surgical interventions and possibly dialysis on top of everything else. Specialist ordered the test Brent said he would do without us telling him his history. Stage 3 CKD. Mr Rudder NEVER informed or voiced renal failure. Oh and the over year pain. Turns out it's PAD with severe stenosis in both legs as well as the aortic going to the legs, Bruit, oh and when we mention that he for the first time used his stethoscope and said hmm yes I hear that. Now we pray stents will help. Severe high blood pressure. I'm talking 180 to 214 systolic. He adds a very low dose med and says we'll monitor. Yet again took a specialist to add 2 more meds just to get it at a almost normal level. Blood pressure had been so high for so long has caused more damage. You can't get in with him if you're very sick for weeks. You can show up because they won't call you back and beg to be seen only to be told Brent is too busy, but good old Brent is sitting on a stool legs up laughing with nurses. What tool only a lab draw to diagnose Brent's too busy for his long time patients. Both of us were paired up with Mr Rudder years ago. For a good while he was good. Last year or so he does the very least to get by. My last labs in March showed elevated numbers, Mr Rudder says will monitor. Then get a letter stating a lab is high contact office if you are or are not taking a specific prescribed medicine. 2 weeks 8 unanswered voice nails I've still yet to inform him med is being taken as prescribed so there must be a problem. After the damage and new diagnosis of every thing we searched and found a new PCP. We're old, don't like change, trusted Brent Rudder NP only to be more sick than the day we walked into his office. He's physician who signs off on his work should be doing a better job and take a closer look at how he practices. So if any doctor or NP tells you drink lots of water and don't take ibuprofen RUN amd get a real doctor so you're not in kidney failure. This is just our experience. I know of another of his patients personally and he has her so messed up she had to seek other care at another doctor. Oh and seek a good health care provider for diabetes monitoring. Never checks for protein in urine a1c elevates he says I'm not going to change anything just monitor. Gain 20 pounds in 3 months doesn't inquire about the sudden weight gain. Was told by cardiologist last year to be diligent with keeping a1c under control and cholesterol low. Guess which 2 labs were high last month? No concern about how I report to him both parents where insulin dependent amd passed from complications of diabetes and heart disease. So to hopefully stay alive and problems under control we had no choice but to seek help elsewhere. I know area lawyers won't take a wrong medical case or I would sue Rudder and the physician that signs off on him. Y'ALL HAVE BEEN WORNED. I pray my husband can get the care to fix the problems Rudder swept under the carpet. Hey, he may be good for you as I said years ago he was great. Now he'll changed the dosage or amount taken and not inform you but when you go for your 3 month check up and ask him about he will say (he does every time) oops that's my bad, let .e correct that. Wbc high, we will monitor. Never monitored. I'm just saying get you a real RN. I've taken a lot of room. I'll stop and land my plane. read more

The worst care I have ever received. They did not do anything during my visit but charge my credit card $125. When I get home I receive a notice in the mail for an additional amount of money. The doctor did not even touch me or what was ailing me. She prescribed a ointment and an antibiotic and I ended up going to the emergency room. So this was a waste of my time and money. Good luck to anyone who goes here. You will have to pay up front and be charged more for them to literally look at you. Nothing more here. You are better off going to the emergency room. Positions quality care, we treat you like family! I was denied entry to see my doctor, because my service dog does not have registration papers or certification. ada.gov, does not require any search papers or documentation. The ADA act is federal law. They are only allowed to ask me two questions is your dog a service dog? Does your dog perform a task regarding your disability. They wanted me to prove that he is a trained dog. They called the police, and the Jackson Police Department set a death was a civil matter and that I would have to leave the property. Not only do we have business owners that are not aware of federal law but we have local law enforcement that is ignorant of the federal laws as well. The police department said that if I did not leave that I would be arrested and that my dog would be put in the pound with animal control. That is also against federal law, because my service animal is supposed to go with me everywhere I go including jail. I Called the local news, WBBJ they were not interested in this news story. I do not include the entire staff of this facility, my primary care is fantastic, most of the nurses are exemplary. I have been carrying my service dog into this facility for well over a year without a problem. I I do not see the problem now except for the fact that a few people in charge are ignorant of the law and refuse to read it. All they have to do is go to ada.gov and it would take them 20 minutes or less. read more

I have been going to Physician's Quality Care for about 5 years and have only seen the same person twice in that time period. Each person comes at me with a different perspective each time and all I am going for is to get my prescription updated for another 6 month at a cost of over 175.00 for what is usually a 10 minute visit. Well, today that visit was almost 3 hours, did a x-ray that I didn't need, and only wanted to write me a prescript for 30 days so I could return for another 175.00 charge, really!! My wife is sick. I took her to PQC to get relief. The triage nurse or whoever took her vitals asked "do you want us to test for anything?" I'm assuming she meant COVID or the flu, but it was an unusual question since they are the health care providers. She left and we waited a long time. Finally a doctor or NP (maybe PA?), not sure which came in a spoke briefly with my wife, listened to her back and chest, and looked in her ears. She then said would was prescribing an antibiotic, something for the cough, and a nasal spray. She did not name any medications. We arrived at the pharmacy and they said that the cough medicine was one that has proven ineffective for my wife, and has even exacerbated her problems in the past. She called PQC to discuss this but the provider refused to call her back. She called again hours later and the obstinate provider reluctantly got on the phone. Although my wife had told her multiple times that her reason for not prescribing real medicine was flawed, the provider held fast to her imprecise decision-making. A wasted visit and a wasted copay. I guess we will need to continue looking to quality healthcare in Jackson. read more

I have been to PQC x4. I have had only 1 good experience. I always feel as though I should be ashamed for visiting, or as if I'm inconveniencing them. If you want ER quality injuries, then work in an ER. This place should help keep the ER from clogging up. I will drive myself to Memphis or Nashville before I will ever step foot in this facility again. read more

My husband and I go to Physician's Quality Care on the Urgent Side, when we are sick and I can't see my primary care physician, or he's sick. My husband has chosen Dr. Brent Rudder, FNP as his primary care doctor at Physician's Quality Care. He does not and has not had primary doctor in many years. He has gotten to know the nurses and doctors, FNP, and more of the staff there and has put his trust in them. Physician's Quality Care in Milan is always clean with excellent support staff for all your needs. We would recommend of the doctors there whether it be nurse practitioner, doctor, or nurse. They are all so friendly nice and make you feel like family. Yes we highly recommend Physician's Quality Care! read more

I had to go last week because my regular Doctor was closed. I would not recommend this place the receptionist was extremely RUDE and the medical staff clearly did not know what was wrong with me. I was charged a hefty fee for her to be in the room with me less than 2 minutes and clearly didn't have a clue to my ailment and really didn't try to find out. read more

The doctors we have seen have been great every time we have been to this facility but the receptionist act like I am an inconvenience to them, they had me thinking I will be going elsewhere next time. Then the bill came in and I tried to pay it...it is in my husbands name so they act like I am a terriorist or something. If they are waiting on him to take care of the bills they will NEVER get their money. Paying your bill should not be hard to do! I was experiencing severe abdominal pain and waited forever to see someone. The nurse practitioner they sent in did not listen to me or examine me other than listening to my heart. Did not check the area where I was experiencing pain at all, he didn't even do the obvious cheek for appendicitis. Within three minutes he magically decided he had made the diagnosis, and just wrote a script. He did not bother to go over the medications with me or even to tell me what he had written the prescription for! Total waste of money, will not go back. read more
