All they offer are sandwiches, but between the 5 different sandwiches we tried, they were all delicious! The service was pretty good, and we got to sit outdoors on the patio on a beautiful sunny day - one simply can't ask for a better dining experience. One complaint from a couple in our party was the coffee tasted and smelled like dish soap. I didn't order coffee myself but perhaps it wouldn't hurt to run an extra cycle of rinsing before serving with those mugs. read more

This place is pretty good. I looked up a nice place to eat some local food. This place received some awesome reviews. So thought we'd check it out. Short wait time to get a table. In spite of the time told to us by the hostess. It was our first time there. Our orders were placed. Yet the food seemed to take a long time to get to our table. Meanwhile others got seated after us and their food was out to them, shortly after they sat and ordered. Catfish burger 11/10. Portobello mushroom burger 7/10. It seemed to be missing something. Salads were phenomenal 10/10. Mac'n'cheese, another 10/10. And I never eat that. At all, it was really, really good. Top of the line. The staff were friendly, yet I couldn't help but notice how it seemed our table lacked attention in getting served. I dont know if its because my friend and I were out of towners. I asked twice for hot sauce that was actually given to our table from a different server than the one who took our order. And she was the second person I asked. Mind you it was fairly busy and I understand that. I appreciated learning of the history of the restuarant. In it being originally a bakery and then taken over by the son-in-law. Maintaining the quality and integrity of the food coming out of the kitchen. Definitely nice to hear and not something experienced often in the big city. My friend and I live in Toronto. The washroom I felt was a little close to the dining area. I think there needs to be some more separateness between the dine area, the washrooms and the kitchen. Smells tend to linger. I also didn't enjoy how they use billybee honey instead of a local one. Aside from that. Great restuarant with a wonderful mission. Will likely return. read more

Had a wonderful lunch at this charming little eatery in Orangeville's main strip. They do an excellent trade in take-out service but we dined in in their cosy dining room at the back. Friendly staff served a range of housemate proper country cooking. No pomp or frillier here - good, honest country cooking. You'll get an all day breakfast, great sandwiches and soup and fresh bakes goods. I had the chicken and Brie panini which was delicious - simple and fresh. My wife had the western sandwich which was fantastic fresh toasted brown bread. We will be back here and fully recommend this place! read more

I just want to comment on the parking. Even though Orangeville isn't a big city, parking can be a nuisance when you drive along Broadway around lunch time. For one, you need to do parallel parking and you know me, I can't do that lol. Anyhow, there are parking lots nearby if you suck like me. But let's focus on the positives, parking is free =) This is a pretty small restaurant and can easily be missed if you are trying to find it while driving. My only complaint is that the tables closer to the entrance will feel gusts of wind every time the door is open. I sat about 2-3 tables away from the door and had to keep drinking soup to keep warm. Your best bang of the buck is the half sandwich combo, I ordered it with the daily soup. The cauliflower soup that I had was made to the right temperature (warm!) and was not too bland (did not need to add salt). I definitely tasted the cauliflower, and the creamy texture made it feel like home. Let's now talk about the sandwich. They definitely used the right type of bread, crunchy on the sides, and super soft in the middle. I was quite impressed with the meat because they put in a lot, portion-wise, you can see it hanging like a tongue from the edges lols. Given that it was a classic/cold sandwich, I thought it would be boring, but they packed a lot of flavour in this meal. Maybe the sauce made the difference. read more

Was recommended by a friend and it was a great recommendation. We ordered sandwiches and sides and the absolutely best fried pickles. The bread is all homemade and super fresh, clear that all of the vegetables are fresh and ripe. We did take out due to the current situation however other than they're super busy and it took an hour and a half as they told me it would it was worth the wait. Highly recommend! read more

This is a really quaint cafe right in the heart of Orangeville. The lunch menu consists of the usual soups, salads, and sandwiches. I found the breakfast/brunch menu a bit more interesting, and chose to go with their version of an Eggs Benedict. Poached eggs on top of large piece of hashbrown, all on top of a bed of arugula and drizzled with a honey dijon dressing. While it was quite delicious, it left me feeling hungrier than before. From their lunch menu, the vegetable sandwich was so good, I got through the whole thing without having to pick off the onions. They even offer hummus as a substitute for mayo as a vegan option. I stopped in for lunch. This is a really cute place and the menu is impressive. They have sandwiches, burgers, salads, fries, quiche. I tried the pulled pork sandwich with an order of sweet potato fries. The food was delicious, but there was cheese on the pulled pork that wasn't indicated on the menu. I just scraped it off because I am not a fan of cheese, but they really should indicate the presence of cheese since most people assume that there won't be cheese on a pulled pork sandwich. Not good value for the money. I ordered quiche which came on a plate all by itself. Presentation was not there. Yes they do use local grown produce etc. Was really disappointed on this visit. Sandwiches are more worth the price and presentation is also better. Waitress was chewing gum while talking, which is not professional. Lots of flies in the restaurant. Spoke with the owner and I did get my meal free, which was nice but not the point. I left hungry. I have had the quiche in the past and it always had a small toss salad with it. The owner went on to tell me they never have done the salad with it unless i asked for it. That was not the case i never had to ask or pay for a small salad. I know they have side dishes that a person can order with their meal. The quiche was lost on the plate. A little presentation would not hurt. A little toss salad on the plate is cents but makes a difference. read more
