Stopped in for some breakfast while traveling through the area on business. The diner has a 50's ambiance with a Wurlitzer record player at the entrance and car seat fashioned seating. Was in the mood for a classic eggs and bacon breakfast so ordered their Original breakfast with 3 eggs, home fries, toast, and coffee. The eggs although small were cooked as ordered, sunny side up. Their bacon was greasy and cold, and the home fries were just deep fried out of a bag and flavorless. The coffee was bottomless but as it didn't taste that fresh, I only had one cup. Not much here to bring me back and frankly I wish I didn't stop in. I don't recommend. read more

We stopped by this place during our road trip for a quick bite and we were seated right away. It's your typical diner spot with retro decor, posters and benched seating. We ordered some classic breakfast plates and found that it was your typical fast service breakfast. The portion sizes were big (we took leftovers) and the food was decent. The wait staff was excellent and handled our table of 11 seamlessly. The food was good. The kids eat free deal and Seniors 60+ menu items were nice as well. The only issue with this Diner was the exterior. Due to the condition of the exterior we were hesitant at first to patronize this Diner, but everything else about it was just fine. October 6/2024: Breakfast with the Busches. This is definitely an old style diner. The place has been here for years & the decor & facilities definitely showed it. The food was good but not great. I had the Eggs Benedict with home fries (not house fries) $17.99. It came with a bowl of fruit which was nice. Also had a side sausage which were tasty. On the road and stopped in for lunch. Ordered the Deluxe Montreal Smoked Meats sandwich plate, and an order of soup de jour Vegetable Cream with a side of onion rings. My first encountered with Montreal Smoked Meat and I am sure that Angel's served the best available but not a fan. Cole slaw and fries were great. Nothing is made fresh to order, and because of their huge menu everything is frozen sometimes weeks in advance. Also the smell of the meat sometimes is very off. If you love aying for freezer burnt leftovers. There's a reason why it's mostly the elderly that love it. Food is mushy, old, and flavourless. read more

All the normal praises like good food, pleasant atmosphere and affordable. My husband and I have made this our Fr. night evening out place to go. Sat. morning breakfast gets us going for the day. Feeling special is so important to all people and these girls go the extra mile to anyone who steps in the door. It has been this way for us for many years now. We have watched some grow from teens to wonderful young ladies. Smiles from them all each and every time. I can go on and on with praise for this staff because each and every one of them have a special place in our hearts. A special thanks for Deb and Chris for your warmth also. Please Orangeville...why is this place 5 stars? I must agree with the other reviews that are one star. Poor quality food, poor attitude of the servers, poor overall experience. How possibly can you get a cheeseburger wrong? Bun right out of a bag and not toasted, cold meat, wilted lettuce, mushy tomatoes...no other toppings. Seriously the worst burger I've ever had. There is a place in the North Western GTA community of Orangeville that proved filled my belly and warmed my heart with its amazing small town feel. That place was Angel's Diner and it truly was the epitome of a 50s style diner. As one can expect from the many 50's style knock offs that exist in mass production these days, this place has the 50's corniness cranked up to 10 but instead of hindering them, they embrace is and own in! Elvis is everywhere! James Dean is easily seen. And Marilyn, well that saucy little tart is staring into my soul from every corner of this neon emblazoned establishment - I think I've got a shot with her (what do you think?). Excuse me sir, can you pass the 50's formage? Thank you - it tastes lovely!!! Traveling almost an hour for breakfast is not something I regularly make a habit of, but brunch seemed acceptable and my friends and I piled into my Jeep only to arrive an Angel's appetites in hand ready to nosh like it was 1959! Speaking of things that tasted good, after perusing their extensive (and physically massive) breakfast/lunch menu our group decided to do a family style brunch ordering 3 items to share amongst 3 people. We ordered: 1. Angel's Omelet (mushroom, onions smoked meat green pepper tomato cheddar cheese) 2. Angels French toast (eggs cinnamon and vanilla) 3. The Canadian Sautes (red green pepper, onion, Pemale bacon, 2 eggs, cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese) The Omlet was overcooked, and near burnt with much of the toppings/filler being overcooked as well. That being said the French Toast and Saute were magnificent and made us forget about the Omlet. The saute had huge chunks of green pepper and even bigger chunks of pemale bacon (literally 2x2 inches and about 1/2 inch thick) the cheese was hot and gooey and helped congeal this baked dish of wonderful. While enjoying this I sampled the french toast and I couldn't have asked for anything more satisfying. IMO french toast is simple to make but even easier to screw up - Angel's does it right and the way it's supposed to be done. Bravo. Aside from the Omlet the only thing I wish would have been better was the use of syrup packets as opposed to a self serve jug of syrup at the table. I know it's a cost saver but those packets of no name syrup are friggen nasty! Additional things I Liked: This is one of the few 50's diners with an actual functioning Jukebox running at full capacity all morning every time the music stopped I seriously expected "the Fonz" to come out and give it a hit. Best of all was the beautiful small town feel Angel's gave me (it's the local community meeting place. Everyone clapped when a local newly wed couple walked in for breakfast - so sweet!) First time here and I must say, it was not bad. The service was prompt and friendly. I had the 2 egg and bacon breakfast special for $5.99 and rather enjoyed the meal. Eggs were cooked to order. They did give a good portion of bacon but it is the really thin one and I prefer the thicker maple bacon. Coffee was good. Overall I did enjoy and would go back. read more

My mom and I stopped here before going on a hike nearby. We ordered a breakfast and split it as we didn't want to be really full for the hours of hiking we had planned. The food was such a generous portion! My mom has celiac and cannot have gluten but the mashed potatoes were okay for her to have so we substituted those for the home fries. Went for breakfast this morning and will not be returning. My boyfriend had the Montreal smoked meat eggs Benedict. The meat was okay, but considering you're paying 12.99 for it. You'd expect there to be more than 1.5 eggs on the plate. Perhaps 2 poached with yolks intact like a typical Benny, would have improved this dish. My son ordered yogurt and fruit. We specially asked for there to be NO TOPPINGS on his yogurt. When I made the request- the waitress became very short and rude with me. As I asked if they had vanilla yogurt & not just plain. Which they don't. I asked what the fruit was and she said it's Fruit. You know. Strawberries and stuff The dish came & they piled it with fruit, mixed into the yogurt. With 1 whole strawberry between the two fruit dishes on the table. My son is autistic and extremely picky. He refused to eat. I ordered a simple BLT. There were a total of 2 slices of bacon on the entire meal. A heap of lettuce, of which I picked majority off as it was spoiled in my opinion rusted/wilted. So ladies, if you would rather have a salad instead of fries on some selected menu choices get prepared to pay full price for the salad. On that note I should suggest you skip it entirely unless you like soggy and bruised lettuce. I don't know if it is an unwritten rule for the waitstaff that eyecontact and smiling are strictly prohibited, but neither our server nor anyone else I saw seemed to enjoy working here. This diner was a very pleasant surprise! The decor is fabulous and the music playing from the Juke box is nostalgic and fantastic. When I went in with my husband, Frank Sinatra was playing and we were sat at a wonderful booth where we could see Bridgette Bardot and Elvis photos. The ambience is great! The food is fantastic. We had the santa Fe double chicken and the Elvis Burger. On a constructive note to further improve the quality of the diner, I would recommend to ensure the bathroom smell is kept under control. When we walked in, there was a string an unpleasant bathroom soap and toilet smell was very strong but dissipated as you walked further Into the diner away from the bathrooms and into the booths. Still the fact that a "bathroom" smell lingersat the front of the diner that mixes with cooked food smell is not very pleasant. The service and atmosphere was ok. However my spaghetti tasted like sugary dog food. It tasted like sweet, fake meat (with a weird consistency) and had a weird dark colour like it had been sitting around for awhile. It immediately gave me stomach pains. read more
