A special thank you to Abraham, the owner, who went above and beyond to make sure my daughter Kamila could enjoy her meal. Since she is unable to chew food, he took the time and care to accommodate her needs without hesitation. His kindness, compassion, and attention to detail made us feel truly welcomed and cared for. Food was great! Desets were ok. Service was great!! We started off with cheesey garlic bread. Everyone loved it. Then we all had a fresh salad, everyone ate everything on their plates. Daughter's shared linguine and clams. They really enjoyed it. Waiter brought it out already in separate plates, which was nice. They are both usually picky eaters. One finished and the other almost finished their portion. Wife and son both ordered lasagna. They both really liked it. Wife said it was very fresh. The tomato sauce wasn't thick meaty, sloppy and overpowering, but light fresh and not too sweet. It was definitely a healthy portion of lasagna. Wifey ate over 1//2, and my son usually finishes his plates, but couldn't finish the lasagna. I had the seafood linguine. I can't eat tomatoes, so requested the sauce to be changed from tomato to the wine sauce. They were able to accommodate. Fresh pasta and seafood. I ate everything on the plate, and soaked up the sauce with the warm bread that was served upon request. Now the desserts. We had two of each of the canolis, and tiramisu. Wifey said one of them didn't taste freshly/ home made, but forgot which one. That was the only negative I have. However we did eat all of them, sooo.... Ambiance nice candle lit type atmosphere. Very friendly and attentive staff, delicious food at a reasonable price. Food came fast and hot on a Saturday evening. Dinner for 3 just over $100 with tax and tip. Perfectly cooked lasagna, spicy sausage and pasta, along with Cavatelli & Broccoli Milanese. Everything was delicious, portion sizes were just right, good sized but not too large. This place should get more recognition, the food here absolutely blew my mind. First the side salad was delicious with the house made dressing, the salad to me was a little over dressed but I personally did not mind that. The cheeses garlic bread was delicious, packed full of cheese and underneath the cheese you can see loads of garlic, very delicious, I wished the bread itself was just a bit more crispy In texture but otherwise very delicious. The chicken parmigiana was also amazing. I've had a lot of chicken parmigiana in OC but this one is right up there. Juicy, moist on the inside, crispy on the outside, opted for angel hair pasta and it was delicious. They gave me a free dessert and I chose the house made bread pudding and again the best bread pudding I had in OC. Makes me want to come again for dinner tonight. I called to find out if they allowed dogs on their outdoor patio and they said yes it's just a little too more for that yet. However I did call back and order garlic bread that comes with their marinara sauce they had it ready very quickly for me. When I came to pick it up. They handed it to me. The place is beautiful inside they are so friendly. I can't begin to tell you how Warme and welcome I felt just picking up something to go. This was our first time trying this restaurant and it didn't disappoint. We got the spaghetti with meatballs and the penne with sausage. Both came with a nice house salad. I've been to Piccolo Stivale (little boot) several times, and for good reason. They serve very good Italian food, big portions and at reasonable prices. In addition, the setting is very casual in a strip mall on Mag near Garfield in HB. This time it was for take out bc mija was in town, and I still can't drive yet. I had the chicken parmesan w/ a side of spaghetti w/ marinara sauce. Entrees also come w/ a side salad. She had steak milanese w/ fettucine alfredo on the side (sorry, no pic). We shared a fried calamari app. The calamari was GBD even after the 10 min drive home. Additionally, the portion was large for the price. Likewise, the chicken was tender, and the breading was nicely seasoned. Both of our portions were so large we had leftovers. I had half my meal remaining, while mija had 2/3. I have never had bad service here, and I have always found it friendly & warm. The takeout was packaged nicely, and it was ready on time. Ordered Uber Eats had it delivered food was 45 minutes late. Everything was cold. The meatballs were burnt the garlic bread for eight dollars was two thin pieces of bread tasted stale. The side salad it said came with you could put in a Dixie cup. I would not recommend this place. My family and I absolutely LOVE piccolos! Its the only italian restaurant we ever dine out at or order from. We have ordered here from uber eats and called for pick up today. Even when we dined in it was spectacular. Delicious and authentic food always taste so fresh. We got the shrimp alfredo, garlic and cheesy garlic bread, vodka penne chicken parm, cheese lasagna, and cheese ravioli with sausage, and the cesar salad. Great portion sizes and they always give extra marinara. Our order was ready in 20minutes and we called as soon as they opened. The owner, Abraham, even threw in 2 cheesecakes and 2 tiramisu's for us. A chef helped me carry my bags to my car and service is always perfect. Amazing experience every time. Omg - the people here are lovely and sweet and try so hard, bless their hearts. The bruschetta was fresh and plentiful and delicious - but had too much vinegar. Needed more olive oil to balance it out. Same with the salad, which seemed to be topped with Kraft parmesan sawdust. (please switch to fresh). And the lasagna looked good but - well - seemed to not taste of anything. I suggest adding olive oil, basil, fresh parmesan cheese and fresh garlic. Very happy with the moderately priced glasses of Chianti. But the worst thing was the atmosphere. Just a box. Almost no charm. Owners - if you read this - for God's sake paint it a warm shade of orange or red, update the old stale paintings with baskets or something else, replace the light bulbs in the side curved squiggly ceiling fixtures with WARM SOFT light bulbs, add soft Italian music and put red checkered table cloths on the tables. I bet $900 spent on the interior would improve it SO MUCH. We liked you and enjoyed our meal anyway because you were so cheerful (and thank you for the complimentary cannoli). The only way we came across it was wife searched "best fettuccine" and it came up. I asked the wait staff how long has the restaurant had been opened and she said "6 years!" Well it took us a long time to discover it but now that we know it's here we will be frequent patrons. The staff is super friendly and the food is sooo goood!! The decor was cute and clean.
