I like Pizza D'Oro. It's a convenient local Italian place that you can usually rely on so it saddens me to leave an average review I ordered yesterday and used the online ordering system and delivery service for the first time which I think is at the root of my problems. Do you guys realize how messed up it is? I'm the customer who called yesterday after receiving my order because I was expecting 3 drinks. Well, it turns out that I don't even think I paid fairly for the two we did receive thanks to your add-ons which allowed me to get a drink and fries for $1. I think after me reporting that issue, the system has been updated, but there's still a lot of issues (the lunch section has sincebeen removed) and I would recommend calling to place your order. My order included the 1/2 slice of pizza which I upgraded for $2.50 to their lasagna style which was supposed to include meatballs, sausage, ricotta, and Romano. Check out the attached picture because I got some meat, but where are the other toppings? I also asked for it to be cut in half and I honestly feel like I only got 1/2 of a 1/2 slice which I paid a lot to upgrade. Plus I ordered extra sauce and received barely any sauce at all. Next I ordered the mini sandwich combo . It included a mini meatball sandwich and I guess a salad or French fries, honestly it's hard to tell (because, again, the lunch section is now missing), but I could have sworn it asked for my drink choice, which is where my original confusion started. Regardless, I asked for the fries well done, they weren't and seemed barely brown, and asked for the salt and pepper seasoning which I also didn't get. I did receive two salads, but they were inedible (see picture) because the lettuce was all brown. Though the menu says it comes with black olives, mushrooms (online there's many options including lettuce ??) it came with cheese and pepperoni. Again maybe this is another issue with the online ordering system, but I was disappointed that we couldn't eat the salads because their ranch dressing is incredible. Finally we ordered a calzone that came with 3 toppings and up to 3 sauces at no additional charge. I ordered an additional meatsauce for $3 to make sure we had enough and it wasn't necessary. The canzone was just okay. We found the crust more like bread and less like pizza. It was packed with toppings though. I will try the restaurant again and update my review, but I won't be using the online ordering system, I'll be calling my order in. read more

My 1st time here. Pizza was good and I seen many of their special sized 28" pizzas leaving with take out orders. My meatball sandwich was good, but just good. Really nice owners too. The place has very limited seating for eating there. I will return and try other things. read more

Food is always good here BUT- we noticed a "happy hour" menu for Mon-Fri after we ate (a 530pm) and realized we could have ordered the SAME thing from the happy hour menu and saved about 35%. It WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE for our server to point this out to us (happy hour menu goes to 630pm). But-she didn't!!! read more

Mayra is her name at Pizza D' Oro. You could not find someone as dedicated with a service attitude as she showed. We are amazed how busy this Pizza D'Oro can be on a holiday Monday evening. The delivery guys just keep on coming as this young lady also tended to patrons enjoying the dining in concept. Every table and booth was occupied and we were lucky to have a booth. We are hungry and the lovely missus decides a small Pizza with "Hawaiian" toppings and a side of green salad is plenty. (She took some pizza home). I'm kind of the person that likes Lasagna and a garden salad. We enjoyed watching the 'natty' game (Indiana vs Miami) on the corner monitor as well as the decor of Pizza D'Oro. We liked the local vibes of this HB Pizza D'Oro and we made a good choice for coming here for dinner. read more

This is a little hole in the wall in an indiscript tiny strip mall in a remote part of Huntington Beach. I'm in north HB at least 7 miles away but this is worth driving to. I got a half slice of giant pepperoni pizza. Decent flavor, nice crunch on the crust,, could have used a little more cheese. Got a small order of lemon pepper wings, tender and perfectly cooked but didn't detect that much of lemon pepper. Later got a lunch spaghetti with meat sauce and Italian sausage on the side. Was it as good as slow cooked homemade Italian meat sauce? Of course not but it was quite good. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauce had decent flavor. The lunch special price was amazing! i haven't seen prices like that in decades! i'll be back to try more offerings. The service was outstanding. Breaded ravioli ... I grew up with "toasted ravioli" (St Louis thing). I have also going here for 35 plus years and somehow missed "breaded ravioli". When I ordered them this week I was surprised that they have my hometown craving right down the street. Tried it with the Rosa Alfredo (pink) sauce and this is IT!! Great deals, awesome staff, best lunch specials around and now I stumbled on toasted raviolis right here!! This place is the best, go check them out. read more

I ordered a few dishes, including spaghetti with beyond sausage/marinara. They did not give me any beyond sausage, just plain marinara. I don't know if this was a mistake, or if they were out of the beyond sausage but that was the only reason I ordered from them in the first place. Disappointed. read more

This place is my weakness!, I am literally so close to this place me and my boyfriend love getting takeout from here but I love everything that ive tried and their wings are amazing im obsessed . I've been coming here for years and the portions are getting smaller and smaller and the quality has went downhill --so sad -now they want you to pay for the salad they used to give you now they charge you an extra 5 dollars per entrée---I ordered meat lasagna, there was no meat in it. Went back for another visit. It was better this time. But I still prefer the Costa Mesa location. Apparently there's a different brother that owns each location so there's some variance in how the pizza is made. The pizza was actually not chewy this time. But still there's something about the crust at the Costa Mesa location that is better. The fried zucchini was pretty good with a nice ranch. We brought our own bottle of wine and they only charge a $9 corkage fee which is great. read more

This tiny little spot boasts 8 booths. At mealtimes they are usually full. Folks know that this place serves real-deal, delicious, neighborhood Italian food. My mom wanted Italian food for her birthday dinner and we immediately thought of Pizza D'Oro. It had been a little while since we last ordered from Pizza D'Oro and I don't know why we waited so long! We ordered eggplant parm, veal parm, manicotti, spaghetti and salad. Everything was so tasty and delicious! It was a great dinner for my mom's birthday and it reminded us that we need to go back more often! They have giant slices, huuuuuge pizzas you can order ahead of time (look at their menu)-we love this pizza so we can freeze leftovers and air fry and they have pasta dishes. Wow, how did my check turn into a 20ish dollar meal to a 32 dollar one. Ordered the 17$ lasagna that comes w salad and one side. I went over it with the girl and she asked me what pasta I wanted to choose. In addition added a side of meatball at $2:50. When I discussed the situation she went to the other girl and came back. She handed us the check and my wife said your saying the check is correct? And she said yes and charged us $10 for the rigatoni. We left paying the check knowing she was wrong. This is a HB staple and I am just now trying it... Ordered here because of a fundraiser. I ordered a half cheese/pepperoni and a small salad. Salad was just ok. It is a salad after all. I could hardly find the lettuce with all the cheese they put on top! I wasn't complaining through. The pizza was good. Nothing was under or over cooked. Nothing special but I enjoyed it. I will have to go back for their pasta. They have a ton of options and it all looks delicious. They also have quite a few specials, all really good deals. My girlfriend is a pizza connoisseur and this was one of her to-go spots and I have to say that it is a lovely gem. The giant pizza slices made me and her say, "D**n! That's a huge pizza slice!!!" They were priced fairly and I guarantee you that it will fill you up to food coma or near it. I also decided to get a mini sandwich which is 4 inches and packed fully. Came here a few times to try the food. The tomato sauce they made was really bland. When I took the food home I tried to add cheese, some salt, and some other ingredients to see if I could make the food more palatable, but honestly I gave up because I didn't want to essentially remake the sauce myself. The meatball was decent. Also I don't know why, but the pizza I tried kinda tasted like dishwater? Not like dirty dishwater, but water sitting on the plate after it's been cleaned so it's a bit sudsy and bitter. Menu was ridiculously convoluted, I never realized how a clear and concise menu plays a role in your ordering experience until I came here. I suppose it could be worse, but that's not something to strive towards. However, they do have decent deals depending on the day, I don't remember nor understand the menu enough to explain what the deals are, but they are there.
