My dad, when he was alive, would bring home a dozen red roses every Valentine's Day for my mom. This was a fantastic memory for my mom, who is now 86 years old, and for us kids of course. I called piccolo's florist 5 days in advance to get these 12 red roses delivered. I saw that they still had delivery times open on Valentine's Day, knowing that this is a very busy day for a florist I was surprised. So I went ahead and ordered them for delivery that day, I even called the florist midday from Pennsylvania to make sure that the roses would go out today. I was assured, that they would go out on this first or second truck. I called my mother at 9:00 p.m her time, thinking I would hear how happy she would be with the dozen red roses, but she didn't know anything about that. She said, she was home all day. Not only was I embarrassed that they did not arrive, I was also heartbroken to know that this tradition of my late fathers was now broken. I tried to handle this civilly, by calling their office number to leave a message, but the phone kept ringing. In this day and age, who does not have an answering machine or answering service on their business line? If someone from this florist would happen to read my post, which I feel is doubtful, the area code on my order is 717. You should be able to look up my order from that, I wouldn't think you would have too many orders from Pennsylvania. Hopefully this was all a big mistake, but it's hard getting this anger out of my system on what is supposed to be a day of love.p Edit: I thank you for your fixing of the mistake, hopefully if I use your service again, this won't happen. When I need a florist, it's usually because I'm out of town and need to order something online... Piccolo's really does their online business right. They send you notifications when your order has been delivered, they give you a better arrangement if what you ordered isn't available at that moment, and they don't bill you until the flowers have been received. It would be really easy for a service-based company to take advantage of online customers, but Piccolo's does great work and has earned my long-term business. read more

I'm from out of town and wanted to send flowers to a friend in Omaha, so I did a Google search and Piccolo's was the first search result to pop up. I called them and a young woman answered the phone. I explained that I'd like to get flowers sent that day and told her my budget. She cheerfully said they could help and took down all of the necessary information. Within a few minutes, I was off the phone. That was at Noon. At 2:30pm, my friend send me a text to say thank you for the beautiful flowers. I was floored. Two and a half hours and they had the order to my friend's doorstep! Great customer service, quick turnaround and everything was done. My significant other ordered flowers for me from Piccolos. He ordered a bouquet of pink tulips (my favorite) right off of their front page. They called him the morning they were supposed to be delivered & told him they didn't have them in stock. (Despite them still being advertised on their website). So they sent me a different bouquet & put a couple of tulips in it, just to ensure I got tulips. The tulips never even opened & promptly shriveled. They also changed what he had written on the card! Completely unacceptable. I would never recommend buying any flowers from this establishment. read more

Great experience today with the delivery of flowers to my mom who is in the hospital. Every other florist in Omaha said it was too late for delivery, but Piccolos said they could do it for me! The young lady on the phone went through several things with me and helped me decide on the best options. She was so patient even though I asked question after question. I had to make sure there were no smelly flowers since my mom is so sensitive to fragrance and they delivered a beautiful bouquet to her that was ready when she got out of surgery. My parents ordered flowers for my father-in-law's funeral. The flowers were never delivered. Of course, they tried to get their money back but were told that the deliverer's word was more credible than the customers. The manager essentially called my father a liar. I'm very upset with my experience. I ordered flowers for my Grandmother's Birthday to be put on her grave, and requested certain colors, so she knew I got into Graduate School recently. I was told in an email and on Facebook Messenger prior to my order that this was totally possible and would be done, and I just needed to send them the information with my order. I sent multiple emails with the order number, and a message on Messenger, and never heard back. I tried emailing again today when all I got was an email saying the order was delivered, and I gave my review and reason for it. The General Manager, Frank Piccolo, said when the drivers get back, I'll get a photo emailed to me. I got a blurry photo, not in the colors I asked for at all, and with no proof that was even my grandmother's arrangement. I spent a lot of money on this order, and all I can think is I was scammed, I made a mistake, they just ruined my Grandmother's Birthday, and I'll never get my money back. I will never use this company again, and don't recommend you do either. read more

I've used Piccolo's for a little over a year now after I originally stopped in for their Cash&Carry rose specials. I pick up a dozen or two a month, today they had them for only $5.99!! I've also sent flowers to a few family members, which have all turned out great. They have a lot of unique arrangements and a lot to choose from on their website. I was also told that now they can even send you a pic of the flowers to your email before they are delivered. read more

The order was for a funeral, I specifially spelled the name for her, when I received the email confirmation the name was still spelled wrong! I ordered from Piccolo's (now at 8335 Maple) because they are only 10 minutes from the recipient's Omaha home, and I read nothing bad about them. On the PLUS side: It was super easy to order online. Why ALL florists don't have a web presence stumps me. The website was easy to navigate and the order was easy to make. I even found a $5 promo code on http://Retailmenot.com. Also a plus, the arrangement was beautiful, though it didn't contain all eight stems (I upgraded to the "Deluxe" which boasted 8 stems instead of 6 stems for the "Standard" arrangement.) On the DOWN side: And this is why I won't order from Piccolo's again. I called at 3 p.m. central time on the delivery day to make sure the bouquet was delivered today, and made it clear on the online order form how important this was. The woman who answered the phone at Piccolo's must be a permanent grump! She had zero customer service skills. She acted as if I was intruding on her crossword puzzle time, and was quite unfriendly. When I asked about the delivery, at first she said, "Nope, we didn't get the order" and then found out they DID get the order. No apology from her. Then she said, huffily, "The driver tried to deliver at 11 a.m. but no one was home." To this I said, "Will this arrangement be delivered today?" She said "There is no guarantee." WHAT?!?? So I explained that delivering TODAY, on the recipient's birthday, was important. If they couldn't deliver today, tell me now and I will call another Omaha florist. She must have been talking to someone in the store, for she then came back and said, like I was a silly, silly, fool: "The delivery guy just came back. I'll see if he can go out again." For goodness' sake! This was 3 p.m. their time and they were open another 3 hours! Plus the address was 10 minutes away (I Google-mapped it). One other thing: The female clerk NEVER said "Thank You." Really??? In a world where flipping loyalty can take just one nasty clerk in a florist's shop, one would think that a friendly demeanor would be not only easy but insisted upon by management. In this case, Ms. Snarly "I don't give a darn about you or your little floral arrangement making it on time today" may have made this sale (only because the company had a website and easy ordering), she ruined it for my future business in Omaha. And now, with an online review describing how things really took place with an out-of-town order, I imagine Piccolo's will try to remedy things in the customer service department. read more

I wish I could give them zero stars as they are awful. Long story short. Husband ordered flowers in person, paid and was very specific. They didn't bother to deliver them and then lied about saying that they tried. We were home and within view of the front door all day. Finally the next day they delivered flowers that were at least 3 days old. Already wilting in some areas. The worst part of the entire experience is the customer service received was horrible. Were basically told too bad. Despite the fact that the driver who brought out the flowers the next day told us that the driver originally supposed to deliver was complaining about having to go out and deliver this far. He clearly didn't bother and Piccolos wouldn't do anything; even offer an apology. They shut their phones off at 3PM so they wouldn't have to deal with the many other orders not fulfilled. This is unfortunate that a company such as Piccolos can behave this way and yet people still order from them. Many many better florists in town. Stay clear of this one. read more

My boyfriend ordered a dozen roses here for our first Valentine's Day so I could receive them while he was at work. Unfortunately I did not get them. I'm pregnant and have been feeling miserable, and this was one thing that my boyfriend knew would cheer me up. I waited ALL DAY By the window with my daughter waiting. My boyfriend, Eric called you guys at three and you told him BE PATIENT, when you knew damn well I wouldn't get them. At 630, he called you guys and was told your driver didn't deliver any orders so he was fired. Lovely BUT WHAT ABOUT YOUR DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMERS. The owners should of got off their butt and took ownership of their business and delivered them theirselves. I imagine Valentine's Day is probably your #1 top days of bringing in new customers, money, and in this case looks like a few pissed off customers. This is how you run your business? You should not only refund, but deliver those flowers to those disappointed couples. Safe to say we will never use you guys again and will be sharing our experience with others. read more

While visiting from Texas my husband and I picked up some flowers at a grocery store. After putting them in a vase they really did not look good and I did not feel good about presenting them to my mother. We saw Piccolo's and stopped in. Very disappointed in the service I just received on a birthday order I placed on Monday. "A computer shutdown" makes it not their fault. I just wish customer service representatives would just admit and apologize for the error and maybe offer something back to the customer. Following up on the unfortunate Mother's Day events. As Mr. McCarthy (owner) explained, I did receive email/phone calls from him and the General Manager on Monday. Both were very apologetic and I appreciated their tone and desire to make things right. We settled on the agreement that 1) I would not be charged, 2) an apology arrangement would be sent to my mother, and 3) she would receive a personal apology phone call from the GM. I was still under the (mis)understanding that the original arrangement was delivered on Monday morning...since I received an email telling me this was the case! So while I was originally satisfied with the agreement, at 6pm Monday evening when I learned AGAIN no flowers were delivered, my disappointment returned. Today marks 11 days past the original delivery date and this morning she received her flowers (she was out of town during part of that time, so we agreed to deliver after). Happy Mother's Day...11 days late. Note, the arrangement was also not the one I ordered. read more

I'd used them many times before and thought it was odd, in the past they have had no problem leaving them on our porch. I called to let them know this and the woman who answered was very apologetic, she upgraded the order and said it would be delivered the next day. Except they never came. I called back multiple times over the next 2 weeks and was always promised that the manager would call me. Every time they offered to deliver the flowers again, but it was too late for Valentines Day. I never did speak with the Manager. 2 weeks after February 14th I got a call from someone who said she talked to the manager and my money would be refunded. My wonderful hubby sent flowers on my birthday. We always use Piccolos because they do a great job and are close to my work place. When I got the flowers, they weren't of the quality and beauty that I typically get. I called and inquired about it and found out that my husband ordered them from an online picture. I thanked them and said "that explains why they aren't as pretty as they usually are!" I told the gentleman that answered that I would educate the hubs and have him just call Picolos and ask them to put something together rather than having them replicate an online photo. Picolos offered to send out another bouquet to which I declined because it wasn't their fault. Today, I received a gigantic, beautiful, rose filled bouquet, free of charge!!!!
