Yes the prices are higher. It's a small town grocery store. That's should be expected. But they've always been some of the politest employees and people I've interacted with. I never hesitate to stop here when something quick is needed. read more

This store is the only one, I think, between Aberdeen and Olympia. So if you can wait till you get to either of those cities, shop there. Friendly staff working here but the prices are outrageous, meat department is super small, and the produce selection is bad. I can't believe they wanted $24 for 12 rolls of toilet paper. Holy hell. $7 for a can of soup. Unreal. I've shopped here twice, and the second time I was here, the cashier really struggled with bagging the groceries. I shop here a few times a week but it is very overpriced, however the typically have good prices and deals on meat. The cod we purchased recently was very good and tasted fresh . The staff is pretty friendly. read more

This place does not deserve all of the negative reviews, at least not now. Yeah, they are a little overpriced compared to Walmart, but it's worth it to not have to go to Walmart. If you stick with the off brand products and use their rewards program it evens out. Watch the ads and buy on sale. They are cheaper than the one in Elma for sure. Their produce is fine, no bugs. They reliably have parking and they are in a nice area. There is always staff working and they are friendly. read more

Even after the recent remodel, this store is disgusting and over priced. It's a mystery why this store is still in business. I went to Thriftway pick up some oranges and nearly every bag of oranges had rotten moldy oranges. So I bought a bag a baby carrots and it turned out they were slimy and spoiled. A bag of apples I purchased have a strong chemical taste even after being washed with soap. Avoid this store. read more

Prices are ridiculously high for poor quality produce and meat. I've found several expired items on the shelves lately as well as rotting fruits and vegetables. We came here last night to pick up some things we had forgotten at Safeway and we ended up leaving without what we had come for due to prices ($4.99 for a head of iceberg lettuce and almost $12 for a rotisserie chicken). I'll make the 20 minute drive into Aberdeen in the future. I feel bad for rating them as one star because the employees are so friendly but they are undeserving of a higher rating in every other way. read more

Mike, Bryan & Phil are always very friendly & helpful! We came in so much, they knew our names. Theres 1 customer service lady, who isn't very nice, no matter what time of day. & Ann isn't very friendly either The prices are higher then the usual grocery store, but i guess in such a small town, it's okay. read more

Small store, adequate for replacing essentials but not worth the price for a big buy. Customer service is lacking, both the staffers at the service desk and checkout staff are extremely unfriendly and poor at communicating. There is one gentleman who is okay but everyone else is just too discourteous. I've been to the desk to ask if they stocked certain items and instead of answering the lady looked me over for a good few minutes before asking the guy next to her to help me. Cashiers have walked away while I was in line and one gentleman went away for 10 minutes while he was checking me out without asking me to excuse him or say why he had to leave - it was to check a price, his machine even logged off, when he returned I had to start all over. read more

This store has so much potential, prime location in a nice town. The staff is cold and uninviting. I find myself treated like a bother, when I should be treated like a neighbor. I have lived in this town for 19 years and have only been in this store maybe a dozen times and each time I am reminded why I dont like going into this place. I would rather drive 10-miles and get my food in Aberdeen or Elma. read more

We enjoyed shopping here and we were impressed with the variety of supplies, groceries and the level of customer service. We returned to Montesano after a year and were pleased that little has changed; this is still a fine resource for food and supplies. read more

I'm sorry but I hate shopping here. It is dirty and the prices are high. The only reason they are getting two stars instead of one is because the people that work there are very nice. I wish the owner would take more pride in the store and invest in a little updating. read more
